True, but let's be honest, twins perform better without the splash damage.

Absolutely.

It's just funny the way Devs described the update... "To make twins less short-range and more medium-range".  A lie.

Anyone with crystals can make their Twins short-range. It's all about spending crystals, and once again buyers have a huge advantage.

That's just for the stock twins, and smart crystal savers can benefit from this as well.

Take me for example: I never bought a single product kit in the game, which put a short term labor on me, but in the long term, I would be benefiting from it, which I am glad that I did not decide to buy a kit :)

Why?

Kits give you early unlock (big advantage) and often are cheaper if you want the major components.

Not quite the savings now with updates on kit (non-extra-discounts) and MUs cheaper. But before that Kits were the way to go.

True, but it also made them too OP. And besides, the items that they had weren't really the best for my playing style.

I'm wondering if it is too much for TO to include some of the alterations for some Turrets in the kits, doesn't matter which kit, the in game one or the one on the Shop. What I mean is that, some of the kits will have a specific alteration in that kit, especially M3 kits, this would be a great in my opinion... not sure tho if it is a good idea or not. Alterations will be much popular and might even save some time for us to buy them separately.

I am gonna buy Isida's M1 alteration.

Is it worth tho and which one is it, the one that gives you extra 5 seconds to heal?

I tried all alterations on Test server.

Vulcan's M2 alteration is too good. It makes Vulcan much handy and easy to use.

Ricochet's M2 alteration is cool. Splash damage is better than bouncing effedt.

No. the other one.

If you have splash damage in rico, even you miss the shot, it will explodes on wall and all the opponents near it will get damage.
In short range, it is easy to dodge rico shots, but you can't dodge splash damage.

But once again... it depends on what kind of battle you playing and whether the battle is in small map or not but overall it is always disadvantage to me since I mostly play in small maps so yeah.

Tried the Heavy Capacitors alt for Shaft today and it was, pretty underwhelming to say the least. While it's actually great if you are a die-hard camper who's maniacally obsessed with one-shotting everyone (yes even heavy hulls), you become a sitting duck 90% of the time. Shaft becomes too slow and sluggish for my taste.

Does Freeze m2 alt. worth for small maps like arena?

I will buy hammer's m2 alt. in june sale but confused about its m1 alt. Because of last update hammer is not effective in medium sized maps, so I am planning to buy m1 alt, but I think I would have to play like noob who can't rotate his turrent..:P

Don't know much about Freeze's alteration but Hammer is definitely worth it especially the M2 one so that is something that you might need to reconsider once more.

My some friends also said so but I really need it, I feel very difficulty while aiming with Isida.

My overview of twins stable plasma alteration. (STP)

It's been a month since I bought my m2 twins and the stable plasma alteration and since I dont see anyone recommending it, then I will do it.

So twins with this alteration can be a force to reckon with, in fact you can even give a drugger a run for his money with this alteration simply by ramming into them, and you can rival the infamous freeze at close combat.

I would definitely recommend you getting this alt over plasma core accelerators(PCA) simply because twins is better suited for short ranged skirmishes than long range sniping.

And here is the proof.

PCA alt:

Pros- increased range and projectile speed, and splash damage.

Cons- decreased firing rate, self damage, needs twins module to minimize self damage, hefty price on its own, but with the module, it would be more expensive than the stable plasma alt.

STP alt:

Pros- firing rate is same as the stock version, self damage is removed, doesn't need twins module, overall it is cheaper than plasma core accelerators alt.

Cons- range and projectile speed is same as the stock version, and splash damage is removed.

Another thing with PCA alt is that no one is going to stay in one spot just to be your dartboard, so its better to get the STP alt instead and go over to them and straight up tackle them.

Oh and sorry if i haven't told you this yet.

So it was just last night when I found out that there is another downside when using the STP alt for twins. When you remove the splash, you also lose the splash impact force.

The twins recoil by itself can't even put a viking that's on its side back on its tracks. But with splash damage, it's much easier to get back on your tracks.

I knew that magnum, thunder, striker, and possibly even ricochets splash had impact force, but I didn't think that twins had it as well.

This shouldn't be as much of a problem with thunders APA alt since the recoild alone should be enough for any tank, except heavy hulls and maybe even dictator.

Other than that, the STP alt for twins is good

Thanks. Will add it later :) (and never knew splash got impacts)

It's more noticeable in parkour space mode, well the correct term for it is "explosion impact"

But i call it splash impact because I'm just lazy :D

Decided to test Ricochet's Minus Field Stabilization alteration on the test server and it's insanely good.
