Mhmm. I already say the DE and RU auto-translations of Alteration names so I wanted to see what the Chinese names translate to, and I like some of 'em.

Visited the Chinese Forum as well.

The Chinese translations are darn horrible. Some of them don't even make sense.

The alternation "Uranium" was awkwardly translated to “镭射”,which means "laser". It was suppose to be "铀".

I spotted so many En-Zh mistakes that I don't want to post them and give the correct translation.

An example translation for Striker's alternation.

Nope! Just nope! Noobz can't translate!

Not to mention "Termite" was suppose to be "Thermite". How the hell termites can eat through a tank's armor?

Depends on what you're planning to do. Are you planning to grind stars or are you planning to have fun? For Smoky, if you want to have fun, you use Cryo Rounds or Assault Rounds. For grinding stars, use Incendiary Rounds. Supercumulative Rounds would have also been an option for grinding stars but the nerf hit it pretty hard.

For "Death Herald" Compulsator, you'd get the best results with your Hornet or your Hunter. Remember though, it has the same damage range as Stock Railgun. If that bothers you, then it's understandable.

Sledgehammer is now suited for exclusively short-range play. With enough graceful dancing, light hulls up close can dodge your projectiles when you think you should be hitting them. SCCM (Small Calibre Charging Machine) and Sledgehammer basically did almost the same thing but in 2 different ways. Since SCCM did not have a projectile speed penalty put upon it, it may have taken Sledgehammer's place as the top Thunder alteration. From what I've tested on the Test Server, it's formidable. I've been seeing a lot more of them, most likely migrated Sledgehammer players.

I read somewhere that supercumulative rounds are actually terrible.  It lowers your dps since the chance is halved(-50%), but the critical damage is not doubled(+50% instead of 100%). Why does it even exist?

I think I remember that post as well. But I remember seeing so many of them in battles that I bought it and tried it out. And was amazed. Smoky's critical hit is random, so it can get it unexpectedly on its 2nd shot after spawning, or its 3 or 5th shot. Sometimes, I could get a Supercumulative critical hit with the same number of shots it usually takes Stock. That is, the best I've gotten was  Crit, 3 normal hits, Crit.. The damage increase allows all light hulls to be one-shotted with DD, from M0 all the way to M4. Basically, the crit seemed to happen too often for me and noticeably for enemy players.

Why does it exist? Well, this would be one of the first Smoky alterations anyone would think of. A more damaging critical, but in turn, a less likely chance of it happening compared to Stock.  "Big damage, big reload" is an easy one to think of.

By why does it exist, I was referring to the horrendous stats.  So is the only reason it is used because people are lucky?

I guess...if you want extra RNG in your life? Same thing for Round Destabilisation. I see people complaining in the chat that others one-shot them but they do low damage. They're just unlucky with their damage. My Dictator without DA is often put close to being one-shotted by them. I have 27% protection so that should help me, but it often doesn't do much. Stock needs many shots to take me down. RD needs fewer on average.

What is the best Striker Alteration after all these balance changes?

Stock or Hunter is your best bet. Uranium never really stood out to me and RRE is near useless and way too expensive.

Woah, Dragon's Breath is a damn killer.

Stick it on Viking and it'll put enemies in burn mode for awhile assuming they survive all those shots.

Is the shock freeze alteration still worth after the nerf freeze got?

If you like using it with Wasp's Overdrove on juggernaut, yes

I use freeze mostly on wasp yes... but is the alteration effective in pro battles(mostly no supplies)?

It near instantly freezes their hulls, so very great at defending since the enemies don't have supplies to help them, only protection modules. And even with a 50% protection module against Freeze, Shock Freeze's cooling rate is tripled, so you'd still freeze their hull quickly.

Yeah but on attack will it be good? Because after it’s nerf ,turret rotation  slowdown was reduced a lot. So light hulls would be better in circle strafing than medium hulls right?

Hello fellow tankers, is round destabilization alt any good? I'm third lieutenant and I won't be allowed to buy High Caliber alt for 4 more ranks, so what you think, is it worth while I go through these ranks? ?

I'm at Sergeant-Major with no alterations. I can get the first alteration for every turret (excluding ones that require money). Can I get some advice on which ones I should get?

Short band emitter for shaft is pretty good for 20k. If MUed really good, with double damage it can one shot unprotected weak light hulls using arcade.

For hammer, slugger is okay, but it's better to save up the extra crystals to buy dragons breath.
