Quick battles and multi-account management

Oh please, every single update RUINS Tanki Online. In fact, the updates ruined it so much that the game is still going strong with over 40k active players at peak times, despite using an outdated game engine and old graphics. :rolleyes:

Oh please, during the SLTV 4, we had 40k x3 = 120k players online at the moment... it was very nice and who cares for the graphics.. the updates became very bad... who needs this button? Its the saem as dm tournament... it will be declined too. Why dont tanki add something fun or new XTs... And btw. whats going wIth new turrets?

I got no problem with its graphics, it's better than any other game I feel.

And yea, for those ppl who were crying about that XP/BP 3 shot update, I feel it's interesting.

Browser games tend to be popular, reach a certain peak and then become outdated and give in to more recent, better games. No one is denying the fact that Tanki is losing popularity, but even developers themselves are surprised that the project is lasting so long against all odds and previous predictions.

since skipping one third of a battle does not make sense.

Skipping any part of the battle makes no sense!!!

 

You should have reduced it from 1 minute to 0 minutes, not to 5  :angry:

Most likely to simplify the interface and remove unnecessary features, since even now probably over 90% of non-PRO battles are set to 15 minutes.

Technical excuse ofc. 90 % of the battle do not feature Freeze, just remove freeze!

What about the unplayed map? Should we not remove them too to simplify the interface (we have to search through 74 maps in the menu) ?

I don't buy this excuse. I would have probaly bought the one below:

" Because it is a special feature which is not strictly necessary to play. While we keep the basic gameplay features free, those which aren't necessary come at a price," Yeah who need 30 or 60 minutes battles with a high risk of a server to kick you out of the battle just in the middle and lose all the found. :blink:

 

At some point we are going to say "Pls, just stop making unnecessary updates". oh, wait, here it comes "Pls, stop making silly update. TY" .

 

And what about the updates that matter to us ?

Wow guys. You really overdo it.

 

I am confirming that given by BlackWasp777 explanations are correct. Custom rank limits will not be changed, things will stay as they are for any CS activities. Also, if this update will prove itself to be good, we will continue to create differences for normal battles and pro battles, so the latter might be getting even wider rank ranges.

Also, if this update will prove itself to be good, we will continue to create differences for normal battles and pro battles, so the latter might be getting even wider rank ranges.

Don't see how adding new stuff only to premium users will help TBH. I agree with most updates, except clan system, and if they happen, probably the paid 2 new turrets, and a premium currency if there will be one :(

To widen maximum rank ranges for pro battles is a good idea.

For some intermediate ranked clans todays rank ranges are to narrow.

 

 

 

On another corner I proposed to have the ranks in the rank selector like

...  |    |    |  1+2  |  3+ and all above  |

 

It would be usefull especially for new Legends, because of they competative-ness of their equipment.

Maybe you like to consider that..

What qualifies as "inactivity"?

 

Does a tank - not in pause - that does nothing but get shot/killed every 2 minutes or less count as inactive?

 

Will it get booted form the battle?

Inactive = no touches on the keyboard and maybe even mouse. And yeah, it'll be removed from the game.

As much as I hate to self-advertise, you should really consider this idea I posted.

Since you keep making changes to make non-PRO battles more basic and PRO battles more advanced and customisable, then I think it makes perfect sense to turn supplies into "expansion content", which players gain access to when purchasing a PRO battle pass. Because let's face it: no-supply CTF battles are only fun at high ranks, where players are skilled and can work together to capture flags. So if you disable supplies in normal battles, players will want to use supplies and therefore they will spend more crystals on PRO passes. While default battles can be left to all other players, who can't afford to buy a lot of supplies and don't want to spend crystals on a PRO pass.

 

This would forever solve the issue of "druggers" in the game and reduce the gap between buyers and free players without (I think) much negative impact on the game's economy.

For a 15 minutes battle 2 minutes is good. For the others maybe more.

You know that the pause times starts counting down as soon as you let go of your keyboard, right? So if the pause time is reduced to zero (removed completely), you will instantly be kicked from the battle as soon as you stop, even if it's just to reload or wait for your supplies to recharge. I doubt many players will like that :D

Quick battles is an update that will no doubt be removed in the future due to it's unpopularity. I won't be using it. It will have little impact on mults in my opinion and may even increase as a result.

I really hope they improve it instead of giving up and removing it, like what happened with Test Drives (a cool feature that just needed improvement). Personally, I'd prefer it if the quick battle button not only chose the appropriate game mode and rank, but also duration (how much time is left), map (from a selection I may want to shortlist), score and number of players. Because at the moment it's quite limited, although I do hope it will be very helpful for non-generalegends to find a battle that's not too many ranks above theirs.

@Inactivity <-> Browser close/reload?

How long will a tanker ramain in battle, when his browser crashes and he has to reload?

Today it's 5 minutes

 

Every time a frustrated or non-informed player closes the browser with the [x] in the upper right corner, instead to exit a battle regular,

- we all have to wait, and wait, and wait in XP/BP

- or he mults, and mults and mults on all other battles

 

does the inactivity update change that as well?

In the Battles section there should be something letting you know what equipment you have, maybe above the Chat section, that way you don't have to go to the Garage tab to check your equipment before going into battle.

But at the same time it will benefit all other players in that battle, who at the moment have to play at a disadvantage for 5 minutes while one of the teammates is trying to fix their potato PC.

I hope so.. loss of connection is maybe treated different then kick for inactivity

 

I think in the past you closed your browser and were kicked more or less immediatly. It was an update that introduced to "keep" players place in a battle in case of a crash. So I think it is maybe part of another part of the code.. maybe based on another timer.

 

I would highly agree that 2 minutes shall be enough to reload the browser. I'm sorry for the people that loose the crystals, but it truely harms your whole team.

One thing I forgot to add - this update limits all non-PRO battles to 15 minutes, meaning that players won't lose much anyway even if they get kicked from the battle.And as developers say, if you enter a PRO battle with a custom time limit - you do so at your own risk and they will not consider complaints about losing 4 hours of progress after getting kicked from a PRO battle with a huge time limit.

Next tanki online update:

Every time you enter the game you have to pay 1000 crystals because tanki devs are amazing and need money

Every time you enter the garage you have to pay 500 crystals because tanki devs wash your tank and need money

Every time you enter in a game you have to pay 2000 crystals because tanki devs need money refuel your tank to play

 

Share your opinions how devs can earn money from players so they can make more useful and profitable uptades for Them.
