Adjust all M2 equipment unlock ranks

well, basically I really want this to be implemented b/c an m2 turret which is available at warrant officer 5 literally makes all the m1s purchased only a few ranks earlier obsolete, and besides not everyone is so lucky to buy such OP advantage so early. so my proposal is to make every m2 available at the rank of major so it can give players enough time to get an m2, and also can enjoy their purchases while saving up for the next modifications, and yes increase the pricings of all m2s just to make things  a little more fair

I actually agree with this. The fact that some turrets unlock at ranks as low as WO-5 (Freeze M2) and the player needs to gain SEVEN TIMES more experience to unlock M3 (going from 150k to 1 million) is kinda ridiculous. Also, it means that buyers can get access to a Marshal-grade weapon at WO-5 using MUs, which is extremely OP against free players. So yeah, moving it up at least 3-4 ranks would make sense.

Crud. I this gets implemented im screwed....... gotta rank fast and buy every M2 kit :ph34r: honestly it wouldn't be so bad if they would add a different suggestion. One that makes Muing equipment before the rank it actually unlocks impossible .and even then you only unlock the first 5 and then as you rank up you unlock more ect.......... (i personally like that idea the best.although those who have fully MUed their equipment from kits would get a crystal refund for the Mus they couldnt have yet)

Although this would also be unfair all all non buyers.cause (such as with the recent Rebalance which moved all M3 kits up 2 or 3 ranks) all of those who didnt get one before the update would not be able to compete with those who where lucky enough to get two or three kits (or the buyers who bought all kits.......)

I actually agree with this. Ehh..it would not have a great effect on gameplay...for example freeze m0 and m1 are OP, so freeze m2 needs to be weak. Or smoky m0 and m1 are weak, so Smoky m2 should be OP.  It's more interesting with different levels of power within an M-level.

 

A better way to stop this would be to just limit the amount of MU's somebody can unlock per rank, so you don't have m3 freeze against m0 turrets.  THere's an idea like this somewhere.

Firefly Kit - buyers with Firebird-M1 at 50/50 (base M2 available at 2nd Lieutenant) at the Sergeant level

Savage kit - buyers with Smoky-M1 at 50/50 (base M2 available at Colonel) at the Sergeant level

Let's not talk about Freeze, let's take Thunder for an example. Thunder first unlocks at Lt Col in a kit. You are not telling me you can have Thunder M4 at Lt Col. We all know how OP it is, plus, it gives a HUGE advantage to buyers.

It would be great, if all M1s unlock at ~ WO1.

and all M2's unlock at  ~ Major.

 

Kits 2..3 ranks in advance, as usual.

 

This would greatly improove the balance, as the M1 turrets could be balanced vs the M1 hulls and so on.

 

 

 

But of course we know that there is a reason why M0, M1 and M2 unlock at different ranks :p

Last time i checked firebird m2 didnt unlock at second lieu.

Actually this would be what I really accept. It's a good option to get all M2 equipment at a Rank of Major. Hence, players won't see M2 Thunder / M2 Freeze (50/50) at the Rank of 1st Lieutenant.

 

If this is applied to M1s too, wouldn't be bad either. Mammoth M1 is available at STAFF Sergeant. While, Twins M1, at Warrant Officer 4. Why not merge them to WO1 / WO2? Do think on this devs. Would be really useful

There's nothing wrong with what it is right now, and I strongly disagree with this suggestion... This would slow down gameplay a lot for the lower ranks and most of them would probably leave. Besides, everyone eventually gets to the M2 rank...

It's a little too late to say why it shouldn't be implemented, besides how would you like it if an m2 freeze 50/50 can kill your m1s over and over again?

I originally thought about putting all m1s at wo1 until I thought it over, I think a little suffering at the hands of players with such an advantage is necessary, in order to achieve a greater reward later on.
