You can still dodge them, unlike thunders and railguns... Or smokies even ^^

Nope, not possible. It only takes three Uranium rockets for you to die, and that's so fast. JGR mode is infested with Uranium users, and if they don't do something about it soon, then Juggernaut mode might die out completely.

Not possible to dodge uranium? What are you a sitting duck? People dodge my 5x faster bullets with stock striker...

Alternatively be less predictable so they won't launch the rockets where they think you'll be.

Not possible? Sure it might be possible if you have 5 seconds warning. Look at Uranium's projectile speed. 125 m/s. Now look at Juggernaut's. 18 m/s.

I want you to tell me that you can dodge Uranium in the middle of Massacre with no cover available. Please, try.

You know the bullets fly straight unless you let them keep a laser pointed at you for nearly 4 seconds, right...? You just need a slight movement sideways... You can use the walls at the edges of the map to avoid the lockon in massacre. Of course, playing juggernaut without an orka module is kind of crazy

You also have an m3/m3 combo, so your juggernaut is at the maximum power possible. Killing the army of vikings should be easy. Prioritize freezes, then strikers, then vikings, unless you desperately need to heal, in which case aim at wasps/hornets for quick kills.

4 seconds? More like 2. I never see it coming anyway. I don't have an Orka module and I don't intend on buying one unless there'll be huge sales. Call me the madman, but I find Hammer and Shaft protection to be far more useful.

I have two M3 combos, one specifically for JGR and the other for team MM batles. Hunter-Ricochet is pretty powerful, and yes, now I get straight 3000 damage with Terminator's Railgun. I had a combo upgraded to M3 through microupgrades but it still only gave me the M2 damage.

I think the problem is when Uranium came out, and then they threw petrol on the fire with Viking's OD. It's just too easy for people to get JGR that way. 90% of the Strikers I see are always using Viking, and that's why I hate them so much. Plus, what's the point of protection if Hornet's OD completely ignores it anyway?

Only the hornet user that activated the OD can utilize protection ignore.

Uranium Striker has the same acquisition time as Stock Striker. Since he may have been playing with M3 Strikers (M2 10/10), the acquisition time would be 2.965 seconds and not 4.

What I don't like when it happens is a salvo hitting me out of nowhere. I don't even see a laser, I just see 4 missiles impact me and I die. When I look at them, I can just barely notice the laser. Sometimes, the laser would wave all over the place and I can see it in front of me and it still locks on. That I understand but I don't understand why I can't see the laser when players are locking onto me from behind. When I do it, they see and turn around or go for cover immediately.

And yes, the majority of Strikers I face are on Vikings and the majority are Uranium Strikers.

God, I hate Strikers. People who use this are one of the things that make my blood pressure rise to boiling point.

Which kind of Strikers? Is it one type or all types?

Well, I don't have data on it (I don't own uranium yet obviously :P ), but aquisition time in all tiers is strictly reload+1 second, so since uranium slows down reload, acquisition time should slow down too in theory.

I'm quite sure that's laggy players, people hide quickly when I use it (The smart ones at least), but laggy players can do what they want on their screens and at some point when their internet lines up boom.

Or maybe they're just hackers (I've been locked on as a juggernaut from complete cover... Sitting on top of the building in brest, only open to one of the bridges and people inside the building, yet somehow a striker on the other building locked on to me and shot an entire salvo which ended up entirely on the wall, but he shouldn't have been able to lock on to begin with).

I actually like dictator and titan more with striker, occasionally hornet... Viking is far too light for my taste, plus the overdrive in conjunction with the hunter alteration slows down the missiles, and I assume uranium will too, so it's hard to land hits.

It's way more satisfying to plant the titan dome and see the helpless fools attempt to kill me while sticking to my tank as I lock on with cyclone. Or alternatively shoot single rockets repeatedly with DD.

Striker when used with viking is of course a great combo. however it becomes a bit too overpowered when used with the drone booster.

its parameters should be tweaked a little.

Also with viking's overdrive its shooting speed is not that much if compared to thunder/ricochet/smoky.

Any turret can become overpowered when used with the booster drone.

Should I buy RRE alteration for Striker if I liked it on test server? it's 200k and I like that it adds a mechanic to striker

The danger is if tanki tries to nerf it, like what they did with RFM

Despite my nickname I haven't had many chances to play with that alteration (Hard to use with 15 fps on test :() so I can't tell, but it can add versatility in maps where uranium or hunter don't cut it.

It's similar to Railgun's hyperspace rounds, very expensive and arguably more of a niche alteration. I wouldn't suggest buying this if you already have uranium or the 8 missile alt, unless you're eager to try out some new mechanics.

I have Hunter, Uranium and the 8 missile alt - all of them besides the niche alteration

I like niche things but this is expensive so I will probably have to pass

I'm thinking of purchasing this alteration on Tanki's Birthday. For me, it's kind of hard to get used to. It seems as if you'd need to play a lot of battle with it first to get a proper gist of the missiles' increasing velocity and stuff. There is a video of player using it and dominating (with the help of Hornet's Overdrive of course). I can't find the post right now and I'm assuming it got taken down for breaching one of the rules so I'll just show it here.

I doubt this would be one of the alterations to tweak since it's so expensive and seemingly less practical than Uranium.

If anything, they would buff it to draw attention to it and to increase the sales and presence of it.

Fun fact: Using data from the russian wiki, I've determined that the Hunter alteration, assuming you can always keep the target in the sight, is around 10% faster than shooting single rockets, so it's a slight dps increase. So it's not all that bad.

The increased recovery time from the salvo allows you to shoot a salvo rocket then a non guided rocket in quick succession too, if you're in a pinch.

(For example an m4 would shoot every 1.68s, though you require about an half second to aim the first shot...)

I believe this is compensation for losing salvo

Yeah, that's what I mean with Hunter Striker having a better surprise factor than Stock Striker. It perfectly makes up for not being able to send a 4-missile volley.

Does anyone ever really play the Remote Rocket Explosives alteration?

No but I'm buying it when the sales on alterations come.

Uranium seems too perfect to pass up apparently for others. I had to go on the Russian Forum in hope that someone used it and they did. And they showed where it can be used to the fullest. I tried it in the Test Server and it's going to take some getting used to.

Hunter is decent until you get to final upgrade and have a lower lock-on time for salvo though I do find it somewhat under-powered.

But I really miss having the option to get off a salvo when a fatty is out in the open...

I guess it could be used to get Magnums...

From mid range, not from far. It would be nice to show them that they aren't immortal when cooped up in their corners. I'll have to get used to timing it.

And I'm curious as to how many players would call me a hacker almost 8 months after the last batch of alterations were implemented.

Well I reported a hacking Magnum once, when I first saw a RGC ...

Three battles of 100% frustration with Remote Rocket Explosives.

I was last place with less than 60 points for 6 minutes in that battle but I had a turnaround.

 First-Remote-Controil-explosives-battle.

I had a great start where I got 60 score and my teammate in 2nd got 15 but it all went downhill from there.

 Second-Remote-Control-Explosives-battle.

And then we have the third one. I spawned and this Mortar Magnum + Viking starts driving up to me and shooting me for no apparent reason. He then chases me into this corner, traps me and then we both die to the Uranium Striker that dominated in that battle.

 Multer-in-Mortar.png

Got-us-killed.png

Third-Battle.png

Thoughts, from first experience on the real servers, I hate it (for now). Timing the missiles were hard but manageable but most of the time when I utilise the alterations pro, I get the weak splash damage from the missile which is 25% of total damage. After those experiences, I want to put it down. I had buyers remorse for every purchase I made during the celebrations (except a few protection modules) and this one seems to be the worst of them.

I'll try it with Hunter and see if I fare any better with it. I can see why players would stay as Uranium and not venture on to RRE.
