Transferable MU's

Tut..tut...With my idea, you don't even have to do any calculations. Whatever steps you have, immediately get transferred to next modifications. All you have to know is that MU's for higher modifications will cost you less.

With your idea, 5 MU steps of an M0 will probably cost more that buying the M1 modification. What will be the point of MUing an M0 past the step 1?

Also with your idea they'll have to reformulate the pricing of all MUs. If they ever do that they may as well do what I said before about M0s having 10 steps, M1s having 20, and so on, where you can transfer the number of steps from the M0 to the next modifications. Now thinking about it, I'd suggest 20 steps for M0... and 50 for M3s.

Anyway, thanks for starting this dialogue about MUs and why a change is needed. :)

Actually, I belive your suggestion makes sense. My idea doesnt actually make MU's more expensive from beggining, but only for later steps. So, basically I want to encourage the same thing you're suggesting. MU'ing 10 steps at M0, next 20 at M1 and so on.

So, a rough draft would be that all equipment should have 50 (maybe more?) steps. After you upgrade 10 steps at M0, the upgrade button will lock and say, "Please buy the next modification to upgrade further". And so on for M1/2. sounds good? Tbh, with my idea, buyers could have continued upgrading, albeit at higher cost but your suggestion is to basically lock it. I'll try to add this to main post today.

I was not suggesting to lock MUs for M0 to 10 steps, I was saying it could have 10 MUs to reach M1. But I am changing my mind on that idea. Now I think 25 steps for M0, 50 for M1, 75 for M2 and 100 for M3. Where if you MU your M0 to 24 or less and buy a higher modification of that equipment you'll be able to keep those steps all the way to M3. If you complete the 25 steps, you'll get your M1 for free, but you'll lose your MU steps.

If this idea ever flies, devs will have to reformulate all MU pricing and maybe even equipment pricing.

If someone wants to do the math, the first 25 steps should be twice the cost of an M1; with 50 steps twice the cost of an M2; and so on.

Like this idea a lot - To add to the suggestion what about the following mechanism.

M0 - 1st 10 MU prices are as they are currently, Mu 11-25 are twice the price that they would be for M1 Mu 11-25, MU 26-35 are twice the price they would be for M2 and MU 35-50 are twice the price they would be for M3 MU.

M1 - MU 1- 25 are standard M1 price then same as above

M2 - MU 1-35 are standard M2 price then as above.

M3 Then all MU's are standard M3 price.

This would mean that you could fully MU an M0 but would cost bucks (more than it would cost doing it in stages at M0, M1, M2, M3 but it is still possible.  I guess the sensible way to do it then be to MU1-10 at M0, 11-25 @M1 etc which would work out cheaper than doing it all at M3.  This would probably kill off the getting the next level equipment for free which would counter the slight crystal loss for Tanki.

Thoughts?

Yep... That's exactly what I'm suggesting :D

Perhaps we could improvise on this idea... here's what I thought of.

Someone upgrades an M0 equipment to 40/50 by spending say, 50,000 crystals. Then he buys the M1. He wouldn't get 40/50 on his M1 directly, but get a number of MU steps free equivalent to 50,000 crystals. Lets say he gets the M1 up to 20/50 with this. He upgrades it 10 times more, spending 40,000 additional crystals. Then after some time he buys the M2. Similarly, he'll get x MU steps on the M2 worth 50,000 + 40,000 crystals. What do you think?

Some legends have M0 equipment. Say they have M0 rico

They fully MU it and save HOURS and MILLIONS of crystals.

Just refund all the crystals spent on MUing, won't make it op

Sigh...Just read two posts above yours. How will you compensate for sales?

Um...I don't see how that's any different from now.

Why not 200 steps?

With Transferable MU's?....I guess it would make MU'ing a really tedious process and will give advantage to those who started MU'ing at lower modificstions over those who buy stock M2/3.

Declined

Due to the recent changes in the MU system, it has become a lot cheaper to upgrade and this idea has lost its relevance. Since players can already get the next modification for the same price using MUs, any more discounts and benefits such as the one suggested in this topic are no longer necessary.
