I've left at least half-dozen battle in the past 24 hours because it is no fun to be the fish in the barrel. Shafts can be a real PITA but you can use terrain to screen yourself form them.  And that laser scope draftically limits their field of vision.  PLUS the have to hit you.

 

Magnums don't even have to get close. Anywhere withing the same time zone will do.

 

Tanki was fun because it is tank vs tank. With Magnums in the picture it is tank vs lame game design. But do you see Tanki taking any action?  No.

 

I just got done playing a Wolfenstein map.  One Magnum just kept going to one of the raised battlement areas where he could lob shell into our spawn area.  I had an OD up so I managed to absorb gis mine and his first shot. Fortunately the had a light hull so I was able to kill him quickly enough.  I decided to spend the rest of the game just defending that spot against that magnum.  Sure enough he was headed back my way the moment he re-spawned.

 

So that's the game.  Now you have to defend both the flag and the magnum overlook spots..But that turret isn't OP.  Nahhhh.

I just came from a nondrug non-Overdrive Silence game. I was on blue and had Magnum and red gradually equipped 7 of their players with 35+ Magnum modules, 4 were Magnums themselves, Blue was just camping and so was red. I switched to Twins and nobody had Twins protections. I had an Isida behind me, but I couldn't do much either when I attacked. Games with too many Magnums on both sides and also equipped with modules are just boring. Magnums are too strong especially in the defense and close-range compared to others (despite lacking protection vs other turrets in cases like that) and yet the fund doesn't grow much because everybody has the same turret and protection against it.

It was so dull and dumb that it was kinda funny again  :P I left the battle of course...

 

Well again this isn't a problem unique to Magnum.  Happens with Shaft as well.  Heck, it can happen with any low DPS gun.

The game is going to get boring when 1/2 the team has heavy protection, 1/3 of them are the same turret, and the whole team is camping.

 

I think the issue is that Magnum is even able to function at close-range at all.  It doesn't make sense- we already have thunder, railgun, and hammer, we don't need a hybrid.

 

 

Sounds familiar.  You are half dead before you get to the tunnels or the ramps.  If no isida present you might as well sit there and wait for one - as you have NO CHANCE to grab a flag and escape when you start 50% down.

 

Unfortunately those are Tanki game mechanics.  You are 50% down, you're going to have to wait for a RK or the cooldown to finish.  It happens all the time when I am flag-running; if a Smoky lands just two shots I know I will have no chance with the flag and am forced to move elsewhere.

Smoky won't take half your life away with two shots, let alone 1.  And it has to expose itself to return fire in making the attempt. There's even a chance it leans to far forward trying to hit you and drops down where it is either upside down or chewed apart by defenders at bottom.

 

Magnum does this from up top in it's "castle" protected by mines and any nearby isidas.

I'll give you that, but keep in mind Smoky  M4's average damage is above 500 per shot.  M4 hornet has 2k hp.

Perhaps I was on that receiving end. I played a game just like this last night. usually when I see this I leave the game.  But at that point I needd that game for a mission. So I set about killing those magnums.  THAT is satisfying.

 

In fact when I see Magnums in a game I will selectively target them just because they are Magnums.  

It is always my priority to kill Magnums...even if they are relatively benign, I kill them as quickly as I can...kinda like cockroaches in real life.  If they are MUed or there are too many of them, I just quit the game.  I don't mind getting slaughtered by Rico, Thunder, Rail, or even Smoky with it's annoying little pwap pwap pwap from nowhere, but there is no strategy against an OP Mag other than dying or leaving the game.

This is by far the most fun turret I've ever used. I used to be a Vulcan player, but that got hard when I kept overheating. I like the magnum a lot because I can hit anyone anywhere on the map. Although it is kinda hard to play on small maps with no cover, since it's not very effective at short range. I find it very satisfying though when I see one or two large red numbers appear somewhere to show a kill. Turret does best on TDM and DM maps, in my opinion, where the kill count is what matters. Love playing it, lose my mind trying to use anything else.

I don't. Even if I'm in tryhard mode I'll always try to attack within another turret's effective range. Even if it takes one or two shots they have plenty of windows for attacking.

Full blown druglord using magnum = ultimate suffering

 

You can counter a full blown druglord who is using any other turret that isnt magnum with your own drugs. But when the only option you have to counter a full blown druglord using magnum is by being a full blown druglord using magnum yourself, thats when you know something is out of hand.

I don't like this turret, I don't have anything against the turret itself but the aiming system I think this turret is garbage.  (This is just my opinion maybe I just don't know how to use it yet).

Okay at first I was joking around but Magnum is REALLY fun in Parkour. It can launch a Titan over barriers from the impact force and it can do somersaults with light hulls.

Magnum was the latest turret so far.

 

I have seen a video showing that the developers are planning to develop a new turret called "Destroyer". Shall Destroyer come to Tanki Online after the matchmaking system and HTML5 update?

No they are not planning, however players do these sort of videos on their own once in a while since everyone has the right to do whatever thry want to their videos.

Can you folks see how skilled I am with Magnum. It looks like I should enter the "Magnum Hall of Fame" and the "Magnum Guinness Book of Records" for being in 1st place for such a huge battle on the Highland map.

Even if you are such a skilled player, it is still very difficult to get to first place in a DM battle with enemies shooting you at all sides. This is a "Magnum World Record" for a DM battle on the Highland map. During this battle, on the Highland platforms, I have managed to bootleg multiple enemy tanks at once.

 

Has anyone made an epic first place in DM battle with a higher score?

So Riddler not only has the stupidest ideas, dosent know a thing about game balance and now has lost all humility too? I knew he was self-centered and he thinks tanki balance revolves around him, but this is a whole new level.
