I hope the developers nerf this horrid gun or better yet, remove it entirely. It's ruined a lot of maps and made some maps like Noise pretty much unplayable if you are the team that has its base at the bottom. I think the introduction of magnum to the game was not well-thought out and needs to be reconsidered.

To be totally honest if you have atleast M2 Magnum and Drugs its way too OP it 1 shots Viking and hunter 

in my opinion the damage should be a little smaller and the splash damage should be minimised is bigger than thunders ...

not sure how many times i got infinite k/d in legend battles with shaft; it's even better for k/d, i'm guessing you just don't know how to use it.

I've no idea. My KD's are usually around 15 if I camp hard; this guy is doing cheap shots in a small map.

it should be very easy to not die once with shaft if you shoot before your laser appears. with heavy capacitors it's even easier. with magnum there's no way you can hide that trail

Ah yeah, I am not so sure about heavy capacitors yet. I make use of my arcade shots too. The 30% max damage increase would mean a 3300 peak damage for my Shaft.

 

Do you think the 300 damage increase is significant? I one-shot most of the medium hulls already.

it's not 300 increase, it's 900 increase. 300 is 10% of 3000.

 

in order for you to one shot medium hulls you'll have to hold for 4 seconds... and the laser appears after you have held on long enough to one shot them.

 

with heavy capacitors you have to hold onto the spacebar for 6.15 seconds to one shot medium hulls... but, the laser doesn't appear when you have charged up enough to one shot them. and even if you hold on slightly longer your laser still won't appear after 1.85 seconds.

Well he was able to hit everyone so I think he used the power and fire angle pretty well. Defense around the flag was an XP-fest for me as an Isida though.

Thanks, I miscalculated. The increase in charge up time is too much of a con for me. I always use mouse controls and can deal with the laser being put on an obstacle while viewing the passages for enemies.

Silence is one of the more campy maps for Magnum since it's smaller. I don't condone his actions but I can understand why he did it.

m4 shaft recharges energy at 125/second. this means that without heavy capacitors you have to wait for 8 seconds to fire another scope shot after you just fired a fully charged one.

 

with heavy capacitors you only have to hold down for 6.15 seconds, this means that only 77% of the charge gets used up... so after you fire a shot powerful enough to one shot a madium hull you'd only have to wait 6.16 seconds to fire another scope shot...

 

 

so the actual difference is actually just 0.31 seconds more for one shotting mediums... but you'd get 30% more damage if you happen to need it anytime! in a battle some have shaft protection and some don't, so for those without just hold down for 6.15 seconds and reload in 6.16 seconds... but for those with protection hold down a little longer.

its pro for shooting at anyrange, yes even close range as you can shoot at 90degrees to do lots of damage to the tank attacking u, but freeze might be challenging ( but u might even kill the tanker after death!!)

 u can also shoot up walls, eg in brest u can go to 70-75 degrees and shoot the enemy team at the top of their base from the bottom (and outside) at 5-10% (depending on how close/far away they are)

U should have made a turret that was stuck at the horizontal angle, that couldn't move, like railgun, but given it hugeeeeeee splash as well as op damage. That's basically all people use it for...
