I have had many magnums kill with one shot my M4 Viking with DA. But I can't one shot anyone with fire, or freeze, or rico, or twins, or any other turret. Maybe M4 rail with DD or M4 Shaft with DD but not if I have protection.

That is virtually impossible. Even a Magnum M4 can't 1 shot a Viking M3. You said it 1-shot your M4 Viking witth Double Armor equipped? If a Magnum M4 had double damage, the max amount of damage it could do would be 2330, and that is very rare. An M3 Viking has 2647 HP. So 1-shooting it with Magnum is not possible, much less an M4 Viking with 3000 HP. Stop making false accusations that aren't true, Magnum was meant to be strong, that's why its reload is very long and it's limited to vertical aiming-- meaning you can't look behind you.

Don't be accusing me of lying.

I face cheaters every day. They CAN one shot your M4 with DA.

We had a guy in a game yesterday picking up boxes by shooting them.

He picked up DA box from what looked like 100 yards away by shooting it. Lot's of things are possible in tanki.

Well, what I always say is: "if you have trouble beating them, then join their team and have fun"

Or take a Shaft and pick them one by one shooting at the barrel

Or Use a smoky to mess with their aim

Logically that is true, but there are a lot of cheaters in tanki online.

Nobody uses Magnum as its intended purpose. Everybody seemed to forget its deemed an "artillery" piece. Long range? Funny joke. Only a couple players actually use it past medium range and even fewer are good at hitting from long distance. The problem with Magnum is you aren't vulnerable at all. Artillery in real life have weak armor, but in tanki you can negate that disadvantage with a titan, mammoth, or even medium hulls with DA. This equates to idiots adjusting the angle to 25-50°, sitting behind cover, and lobbing their fat shells in what little distance they need to cover. This is what ruins maps like Noise and Highland, for obvious reasons.

Using light hulls with it is even disadvantageous because of the recoil. In the description it mentions being the largest thing they could feasibly mount on any of the hulls, but you can still put it on a tiny Wasp and look ridiculous. I think the main problem is the large variety of maps that feature medium ranged combat, where Magnum sees the most use. The problem there is that Tanki is meant to be able to played on a potato with a screen so larger maps are more resource intensive. That's why Berlin and the other huge maps are so exceedingly rare.

I gave the solution to this allready multiple times . short range , low damage/splash,  high range highest damage/splash . This will make the specialists getting good nrs , but people who use it for very short range will not get a lot of points . For me , at very long range the damage splash might even be higher as now , but it requires a pro shot . This way the artillery is working is working like it should work . A shaft needs to be precise , a rail needs to be precise ( high damage unlimited range ) , striker got its own flaws , unlimited range also . Thunder , high damage splash but goes down a lot from medium range . So make it the opposite like the thunder..

Highland would still be possible to use , but not from standing up the hill and shooting the middle part  , same with noise , vitually unuseble because the range from up to down is basically nothing

I'm honestly starting to think it's a case of "if you can't beat them, join them". It doesn't look like magnum will be nerfed anytime soon, all the while magnum users can hide from enemy fire and do insane damage. I don't find it a very exciting turret but sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire...

Another thing that could come with altering the damage for different ranges is a more controllable power bar. I think 5% is quite uncomfortable for any distance and sometimes you just skip over/miss the right mark and go up by 5%, which trashes the shot.

OF course, the alterating damage should be calculated for the distance from artillery unit, not the angle of the gun.

Like a warm-up kind of function then. Gains power from distance traveled. It would definitely balance out magnums, and the only way to counter that would be putting the angle at ~85-88° and firing with a 75%-100% power, which would give players time to avoid the shot anyway.

Hope the devs see your solution and think about including it in the future. It is very annoying when a noob lobs a shell over a wall, but far less annoying when a magnum snipes you with advanced trajectory knowledge.

GUIDE : How to make easy money in tanki

Join red team in noise ctf with magnum

End of the guide

Can confirm, bought a bunch of flashy paints with the money so I could look my best to my fellow Magnums. There's a whole hierarchy based around the looks of Magnums and who gets supplies. /s

Guide to Using Magnum on Noise (Direct hit to Enemy Base)

Red Team

Drive over to the front of the warehouse, aim your turret at any angle, towards the blue base. Press and release the spacebar

Blue Team

Position yourself next to the dead Firebird/Titan near the blue flag. Aim towards the red base. The turret angle should be about 55 degrees. Press and hold the spacebar, power up the magnum to 25-40%. Release and fire.

GUIDE : How to make easy money in tanki

Join red team in noise ctf with magnum

End of the guide

You do realise blue has more chance in winning rather than red, right? Doesn't matter if you're getting sniped from the top but with good team work, blue has always bigger chance in winning, blue are like ants constantly crawling up top, drive for 5 seconds till the edge and jump down to capture the flag.

You are confusing Silence and Noise. Big difference.

Blue and Red are yin and yang on Noise, Blue has a harder time making it to the objective but the return trip is faster, conversely Red has an easier time making it down to the objective but has to make a quick getaway.

Red has the advantage of high ground.  Lobbed shots that miss hit the ground and do splash or bounce and hit.  Blue missing either hit their own roof or go off into the sky.

Whichever team holds the middle level controls the map and will win the game - it is inevitable.

Blue has to drive up 3 ramps which can be blocked. Red can drive down 3 ramps AND jump from their level.  They have more ways of getting to middle level than blue does.

You can't beat gravity.

Well, sure, post Magnum. I just meant historically it was that way. Magnum's getting nerfed anyways, right?
