I have 50% protection which is still almost as good as 50%. Mortar is just for less self-damage because why not?

I don't use a 0 degree shot. I would launch them all in the same spot and very slightly accelerate so that the shots land on my rear and pushes me up into the air and forward like a slingshot pointing to the mountains, or I would stay completely still and let it hit me. The former happened in the 2nd picture and the latter happened in the 1st picture.

Because that makes perfect sense ;)

Hm - never tried that. If you use a 0 degree shot you can do two things. First of all, it's easier to time two shots onto the right % then three. Second, you con control how much lift you have - make a slightly longer delay for shots to land and do a higher percentage for your 0 degree shots, or do a lower one if you find you're going too high. You can also control damage that way :)

My skybox is always disabled, which is why in many of my screenshots, there is a white background.

Scaled this building using that trick months ago using a 100 - 65 - 15 combo.

Magnum has received many buffs. This last one, in my opinion, is too much. Reinforced Gun Carriage requires you to be in the line of sight of the enemy most times, so you can can't stay behind a wall and lob shots. These are some of the battles I've played with M3 RGC Magnum + Hornet:

When protections are taken away, this is what I can do. And this is not even taking into account a Booster Drone.

I find it concerning that I'm able to get these scores often. Hornet helps, but I've also seen that Viking helps as well.

Try it with hunter. I think it'll also do just fine.

I used it with Hunter when I first bought it. With the new Overdrives, I prefer Hornet.

I've been accustomed to Hornet's elevation and rocking ability so I know how to aim and know how to move my hull to hit certain targets with Hornet. I tried it with Hunter and it's higher than Hornet. A lot of my shots went over the enemies' heads. Some were undershot because of Hunters superior rocking ability.

Playing Wolfenstein ASL on red team, I loaded a DD (b/c of mission) and drove through the red base with a flag, and my Mag at 90 degrees +100%, ready to fire when I got to the middle. Just as I drove in, a Titan OD was placed, so I used my Hunter OD to take that away, fired my ready shot, and capped a flag, then rolled on. A couple seconds later, I get two kills as I'm turning around to fire again into the bunch that has no drugs cause of my OD (I believe I was the only red in the base). Then get this:

I'll count it as a quad because the shots landed at almost the same time  That makes it my first quad ever!

Nope Nope Nope. I've gotten so accustomed to RGC that I miss a lot of shots because I keep forgetting that my projectile gravitation is stronger now. Shots hit far in front of them without even damaging them. Not being able to turn my turret horizontally is a real pain. Aiming it with the wrong projectile gravitation in mind was hard as well.

Vertical-Magnum-Beserk-and-Incendiary-Mi

That is with AGLM.

Other interesting things were that Turp_Art was an incendiary Mix + Hornet and Blame was a Beserk Ricochet + Viking.

2 golds dropped (both of them were containers) in the same spot (on the left bridge in the perspective of the screenshot) and the Isida + Dictator on our team caught both.

This was horrible. 4 Magnums - 2 RGC, 1 AGLM, 1 Mortar. 2 of them on Hunter, 1 on Viking, one on Wasp.

At the beginning, it was just constant bombardment from them to the point where my allies just kept dying over and over because tsuname and I  were the only ones on the team with Magnum protection equipped.

And not only that, but the players on my team has significantly less protection % than the other team. They all had 50% or a bit less while we had one running around with a 26% Firebird module alone. The others had 25% to 35% while some others had a few 50%. Was heavily mismatched, even when taking ranks into consideration.

I've had other battle with many Magnums on the enemy team but those were in large maps, not a small one like Cross.

How about get your Griffin module upgraded to M4?

That doesn't change much when it still deals a good 800 per shot when enemy dd and your da is active, and there are 4 of them bombarding. And then there are hornets. However it's on my "list" of modules to get on my m3 accounts.

Doesn't look like I was wrong when I said earlier that Magnum is too good in the lower ranks. If I made a video of this battle for example, would it be enough to convince the devs that it is in fact overpowered?

I am confident that they know they made it overpowered. Its last change looked like they made it the turret of the month, or the semester even.

I can one-shot light hulls without using double damage, sounds insane right?

The fact that something like this is possible upsets me.

Shaft oneshots mediums... And in lower ranks you still don't have much of the effect of the reload buff magnum got. M4s are completely ridiculous.

What alteration were you using?

Shaft is also extremely unbalanced, and ruins so many games for medium and light hull users alike. Magnum is more tame in some aspects, though both turrets should likely be nerfed at some point.

Even without a reload buff it's still very easy to kill tanks. The main strategy I use in DM is to charge a shot to 100%, fire at an unsuspecting enemy, and a few seconds later he'll definitely be killed by the second blast. I'd argue that it's worse in lower ranks because of a distinct lack of modules and a higher portion of hulls being light.

What alteration were you using?

I wasn't using any alteration.

To be fair, it is on the highest end of the damage range. There isn't too much leeway to safely one-shot them (unless your Magnum is upgraded and their light hull isn't).

Light hulls in general are at risk of being one-shotted by a lot of stuff. There are currently 65 possibilities for turrets (Stock + Alterations). And of those 65 possibilities, 32 of them are able to one-shot light hulls when used with double damage.

By "one-shot", I mean one shot. Vulcans, Firebirds, Freezes, Isidas, all Twins and Ricochets are not counted as they cannot kill them instantly after the first shot hits.

This number increases if the turret is at a modification that is higher than the light hull or if it's moderately upgraded while the light hull is not.

My Hornet M3 is able to be one-shotted by an M4 Stock Striker, as well as an M4 Electromagnetic Accelerator Scout Railgun, which I'll get to in a bit somewhere else.

The Magnum I'm using is M1 and 8/10 upgraded. This means I almost always one-shot m0 light hulls and often (50-60% of times) one-shot m1 light hulls. And this is without equipping double damage.

I do avoid recklessly killing players who seem new to the game and are still learning how to play, and the ones with very low K/Ds, because it's not fair to target those. Kit buyers and RTL accounts usually give me a lot of trouble, especially M2s. It's more fair to fight against those guys.

I'm using a smurf account to learn this turret. It's difficult, but at the same time pretty fun to use, and I could see myself using this sometimes in the future.

I've already found two great angle and power combinations for the non-MM version of Polygon.
