Your Opinion about tanki

Game is good, but sometimes it feels as though the devs heads are stuck up their own rear ends :/

For example: in the rebalance update of 2016, they moved all m3s unlockkability to the rank of marshal. Then just a few weeks ago, the increased the rank brackets, which completely cancels out m3s at marshal.

For me, the game was very good, until the druggers took 99% of the non-PRO battles.

If someone of you, check the videos of the week in the V-LOGs of 2015, you all could notice a standard battle where all the players are not using drugs at all.

I've been playing tank since 2013, I think [is that even possible?].  Tanki is a unique game,  I haven't been happy with every new feature, sometimes I'm un happy with a re-balance.  But I think overall the Tanki Team has helped the game evolve and kept it relevant, and, it's a flash game.  There are a lot of fun people playing.

What's not to like?

I've played tanki-x a few times, it doesn't look like it get's the same amount of love from payers.  Flash-Tanki is still a hoot.  Good-Job Tanki Team!

Ahh it's fine, I don't play on a regular basis anymore but it still is the game to play between classes or when you want to take a break from homework. There are updates I like and updates I don't like but overall it's a really cool game with a nice community.

Yep, what I like most about this game is the Community. Great people indeed.

I only played for about 10 minutes today and completed one mission (earn 150 crystals in TDM). At one point, I pressed pause and didn't even play for 2 minutes because our team was getting slaughtered by M4 druggers. Impossible to fight back when they were getting healed up by isidas also on double damage. It's funny to watch them running around trying to find their prey whilst I press pause. In the near future this will be all they do as all the normal people will have quit the game, then they can fight each other.

My other mission is destroy 250 enemies for x121 speed boosts  and earn 600 XP in (non-PRO) battles which is easier said than done.

Yeah... to say this game isn't fun anymore would be putting it lightly.

Although some of the updates are pretty negative, positives do come out of them too. eg. space mode, renting alterations, new micro upgrade system, communicator panel, the clan system. :)

Its one of those games that you need to experience before you criticize. It may look childish from a distance, and someone may question your mental state. But once you experience it, theres no goi ng back. Its a great game. I used to play agar.io and diep.io, which are trash compared to Tanki.

Too much hostility in the game and when I *finally* get the chance to drug on a non-pro battle I get a whole load of verbal diarrhoea thrown at me. I wish I could put my hand through the screen and smack these kids sometimes, but then I would be a hypocrite.

Perhaps I should sacrifice missions completely and play drugless battles. I find myself not enjoying the game 50% of the time.

My opinion is " TO-is-about-to-die ".

Why?

  • Many people left  TO.
  • Developers removing good features and adding bad features sometimes.
  • They're adding/moving from garage to  shop for $$$.

"Tanki Online is dying hurr durr"

People have been saying it since 2013 smh, although the community (especially in the higher ranks) just devolved from being teammates into desperately trying to out-do each other, even within clans.

Why are you wasting time playing it then?

The problem with Tanki Online (or a benefit, it depends on your outlook) is that it is extremely addictive.

You see all these players raging about the game and "quitting" after writing lengthy goodbyes to their friends. But they are usually back in no time at all.

Tank used to be a non-buyers game with the option to buy. Now it's a buyers game with the option not to buy.

I played tanki for hours on end. Take a break, do something else and then right back at it. Now I play for an hour of two and I'm done. What made me decline in playing started with the pro-battles. A lot of buyers bought the pass with real world money. I'm not a buyer, so I didn't buy a pass. The non-pro battles started declining in numbers. It became hard to find a decent non-pro battle. in my rank (at the time). But I still played, but not the hours I used to. Yes, now you don't need to spend real world money to buy a pass, but why buy it when most times it's parkour. Most parkour modes are players messing around, doing their own thing, being a nuisance or playing a mock battle. I know tanki has no control over that. It is what it is.

Now, the servers are merged, there's more buyers using supplies, buying the next tank, weapon, protection as they become available from ranking up. Yeah, I suppose it's possible to buy upgraded weapons, tanks and protection without buying. Many players swear they have done this. But what they don't reveal is what has happened meanwhile. Such as, still having M0 while the buyers have M1's. Your weapon is almost useless without using supplies and your tank becomes cannon fodder. At this point, your M0 weapon and tank without supplies comes up against an M1 of the same tank and same weapon not using supplies. Who wins the 1v1? Certainly not the non-buyer. If the other tank has protection against your weapon and is using DA, the 1v1 is a no brainer.

Right now, on this account, I seldom get crystal missions and the amount of supplies I get are hardly worth the effort. I no longer find enough incentive to play this game as before. There are days when I don't play at all because all the battles are buyers battles. Whoever has the most supplies, most updated weapon and hull wins. There's very little strategy. Just point, shoot, drug....point, shoot, drug.

Money is the root of this game. If a weapon was intended to one-shot kill, then do away with the supplies and upgrade the weapons to do just that. If a hull was intended to block 500 damage, then do away with the supplies, upgrade the hull to do just that. But that's a dream, because it all comes back to money. Sure, money is needed to run the game, pay the employees, etc. I get that. But every time there is an update that somehow involves money, the Devs try to make the player believe it's for the betterment of the player, when in reality, if analyzed, it all comes back to more money. Sometimes I wonder who tanki is really supporting. Either the Devs are getting rich quick, or there is something else behind the scenes. Players are quitting for various reasons. So to make up the loss of revenue, the game costs more to play effectively.

I've found other games that peak my interest more and don't cost anything or very little to play. I can't afford tani. It's the rich players game. Of course, what I call rich another player may call it pettence. To me, $20.00 may mean food on the table, while another player may call it pocket money. To me, paying $10.00 on a game is the same as throwing a $10.00 bill out in the middle of the street. Some people may see a penny on the sidewalk and figure it's not worth the effort to bend over and pick it up. I see a penny on the sidewalk and I will exert the effort to pick it up. I put it in a jar with all the other pennies, nickels, and dimes and an occasional quarter I've picked up.

I started playing tanki in 2001 and seldom play my higher accounts any more. Instead, I keep making new accounts to keep it fun. Not as many buyers at the lower ranks. Tanki was my #1 game to go to. Not any more. Now, it ranks #4....or #0 depending on the battles and buyers.

Honest opinion?

Terrible choices transformed a strategy/war game that should have been focusing on teenagers/adults into a fantasy game run by kids.

Even new Moderators seems to be very very young, LOL.

To make and example imagine Real Madrid entering the field for another football game. But... this time 100 kids are on the other side. No matter what Ronaldo and Bale try, finally the kids get the ball and run out the field with it. Zidane calls the referee, as the kids used hands, legs and all sort of fouls, but... the referee is also a kid and does not intend to hear reasons and give the victory to the kids.

Real Madrid has nothing else than showing up for their next match just to find the same thing happening. And again, again, again...

How long will it take before Real Madrid stop playing? And how long will it take for the kids to get bored?

I don't have a big friends list.

But they're all active at some point or another. I had two old friends come back after a year out today.

If you needed to summarise Tanki in a single sentence, you hit the nail on the head.

I'm only staying for the xp/bp.

There's nothing else in this game that is fair to non-buyers.

I liked to play Polygon no-supplies earlier, but now its all about who gets their fully MUd isida in the tunnel first.

I'm just playing for 15 to 30 minutes on all my accounts, just doing the missions.

I too used to play hours everyday, but no longer.

It's funny how a few years ago, relatively few people were complaining about supplies before smart cooldowns were implemented. Everybody kinda just accepted it. Back then, you could activate all 3 at the same time without any reprecussions. NOW that there are smart cooldowns, more and more people are complaining!

I wish they still had crystal boxes, it would be cool. Honestly, they've introduced some really bad updates IMO since April 2015...I like how they improved Isida's damage but they removed the self-healing effect which sucks :(

I like how we don't get Daily Gifts anymore, we get Daily Missions which are waay better. I don't like how you can't get M3s (not in kits) before Marshal rank anymore...I think Isida M3 used to be unlocked at Brigadier rank. Now I'm almost Brigadier on my alt, and I can't even get Isida M3.

And with the introduction of Magnum, it's so annoying being in the blue team in Noise. But new turrets are cool tho ^^

Yeah, what 2014 brought was little kids in the game, which I can guarantee you that most of the players that complain about supplies are just little kids.
