Your Opinion about tanki

Yeah, similar. But not the same. What's the point to choose a slower hull when you can choose one which is faster and has the same amount of health? Other attributes like power and weight actually doesn't make much different to the gameplay. Using Shaft with viking or dictator won't make a big different when you got hit. Both of them will cause you to miss anyway. Not to mention that dictator is slower and bigger. 

 

p.s. I bet 1:10 people love using hornet instead of wasp with railgun is because hornet is better looking. 

Actually it does make a difference. In my opinion Hornet is objectively better than Wasp, even though it is theoretically slower. Wasp has horrible acceleration, rocks back and forth all the time, and gets its aim knocked off extremely easily. It's frustrating to play. There was an argument on the forum some time ago on the subject of Viking and Hunter. Some people really liked Hunter, some people liked Viking. The point is it's not as black and white as you think.

 

Regardless, that isn't the main point. The developers plan to change or rather improve hull mechanics by giving each hull a unique overdrive. Whether that will be a good addition is another question. But the current state of hulls is not final.

 

This is even a joke. With this "rule", which no other games ever tried to do so (not even pubg or fortnite), a clan can join a DM battle and make it become 6 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1... which DM is suppose to be 1 vs 1 vs 1.... No wonder no one is playing DM, as there are either a drug addicted no lifer killing everyone in the battle or a bunch of kids call themselves "pros" who can't managed to win a TDM and go teaming in DM.

Your opinion is your opinion. PUBG and Fortnite are battle royal style games, DM is not. Many other games allow cooperation and platoons.

I think ad hoc teaming in DM is allowed/tolerated  because how are ya gonna police that? Going to monitor all chat in real time? So they have to allow it. But it is against the spirit of the every-tank-for-itself scenario. 

 

Side note: At first I thought during the War everyone would be wearing their tam paint. That would make DM .. interesting.  3 RU, 2 PO, 4 GE and 2 EN tanks wearing flags, a bunch of people not wearing them.  The flagged tanks can see who to shoot and who to help. The no-flag tanks can feast on everyone.  But everyone would see the "teams".

 

But that is not how it works as it turns out. So we will not see that and least not nearly as much.

Exactly, what are the devs thinking??? Allow teaming in DM?? Even explicitly specify it in the wiki page??? Then what's the point of having DM while the clans are teaming??? It is basically TDM with multiple teams

Because it's free for all - you can do anything you want. Clans lose from teaming, since the score is distributed between more players. Thus you don't see that many teams in DM. It's a hassle and not too profitable.

It is not about winning or not. It is not about whether lots of players doing so neither. It is about the fairness of a PVP game.

 

Imagine if you are the newbie in the video:

All of sudden a bunch of blue guys just bully you whenever you respwan. What do you feel? Is that even fair? Even there are not many players doing so, but it is allowed, and explicitly written in the OFFICIAL wiki page. That's the problem

yep, that's the problem. Every time I'm frustrated when I saw how much drugs he has. Press a button, then you are twice as powerful. What kind of skill is that? You need skills to press a button? I believe those are the guys who won't survive for 2s without drugs.

four times as powerful. twice the damage and twice as hard to kill = 4 times as powerful on drugs or overdrive. add that to a turret that does multiple damage and it really is a game changer.

They won't survive purely because as a team they're a mess.  At one point five of them all bunched themselves into a group but all of them blocking the rest of their team from shooting.

Hopeless.  I hope none of them end up on any team I'm in.

I believe this is a great game, so far i have been playing since 2012. I have a lot of experience with this game, and i'd like to see what you guys think about it. 

Comment what you think about tanki.  ;)

I played tanki back in 2011. Tanki has definitely evolved a lot.

I seen some good improvements/ updates but also not soo good improvements/ updates.
Overall, I see the game still evolving and its more like p2w

 

But i got to say kinda missed the 2012 and 2013 tanki. It was probably one of my best times.

People say Tanki is dying. It's not dying, because the player numbers aren't falling significantly and the Developers are still investing a lot of work in it.

 

It's not dying. It just isn't going anywhere.

 

Slow progress and aside from a few heavy rebalances/ a few little additions here and there, not much has changed in the game in a while - the graphics have barely changed in years. They need heavy improvement.

We just need a CM not interested in making a fortune. Just establish the plastic servers so we Americans can have better ping. That's the first concern. Also, Tanki's giving too much and making a lot in return. Tanki literally brought back paints like Eternity, Moonwalker, and others. Idk what else to say  :unsure:  :unsure:

Game balance is a lie. Twins doesn't have to reload and can remove self-damage - just an example.

Yup, the alt is OP. Twins itself is not, but the alt needs to be removed, or maybe reduce the range as well.

I think Tanki is a great game and easy to pick up however it needs some improvements like:

 

- Better player progression

 

- More frequent balancing

 

- New turtorial

 

- Smaller shop, I understand that AlternativaPlatform wants to make money, but come on back in day the only thing you could buy in the shop were crystals and look at the shop now its got like 5 pages of stuff you can buy and makes new players stop playing the game because they think its to much p2w.

 

-Some things I like to see but will never happen-

 

-Naming your own battles just like you could do back in the day-

 

-XP/BP players to be less toxic in general chat

 

-New graphics

 

-New support turret

 

Overall tanki is a great game and I hope it will grow more in the future, 2018 looks great so far with 2 new modes and another one coming soon.

WEll the War event is over.

 

TO company ripped me off for 32 Containers I earned.  S-u-u-u-uu-r-e TO. Your software NEVER is buggy. [cough black rain cough]. It can]t pssibly be an error on your end.

 

So we are back to playing TO for its own mmerits.

 

Lopsided blowout other team leaves. Lopsided blowout you leave.  Lopsided blowout you leave. Fish in barrel game for magnums leave. Fish in barrel game for magnums leave. Fun game. [how'd that hapen] Lopsided blowout other team leaves. Fish in barrel game for magnums leave. Lopsided blowout you leave.Lopsided blowout you leave.Lopsided blowout you leave. And so on.

 

Meanwhile instead of doping anything about Magnum, or giving turrets like Vulcan and Striker decent alterations, or finishing the HTML5 project, or the MM project ... we get this Juggernaught joke.  AS if magnum players will want a mere Juggernaught instead of their magnum.

 

So after a week or so of being impressed with them trying the War event I am back to everyday TO opinion: A semi-professional company in over their head careering from half-finished idea to half-finished idea instead of attending to the fundamentals.

It is a fun game overall in my opinion.

I especially love the thrill of catching gold boxes, playing XP battles, and drug wars. Oh, and the quest of obtaining a strong garage is enjoyable too! 

Sure, it sometimes has silly updates, as well as toxic players who fry their own brains by arguing and insulting other people, and even some frustrating lags...

... but it is still a game worth playing. You can work your way around the negatives as well. What game has no negatives?

Again, it is a really fun game to play during your free time. Just don't make it your life... :rolleyes:
