Your Opinion about tanki

Recommended Posts

How to play tanki in 8 steps:

1) Enter game.

2) Play max of 10-15 minutes matchmaking (lag, drugs, loading times).

3) Can only finish 1 mission per day cause "earn 1500exp. in assault battles".

4) Join parkour battle.

5) Get picked on by someone, unfortunately a fight must be started.

6) Waste supplies to no avail, can't spend 750k on modules for striker, twins, and hammer.

7) Leave the battle.

8) Exit game.

While this new tanki may be vastly improved from the tanki I knew back in 2014, I still consider it inferior to the older versions, just because it lost a major thing that kept me online, the fun factor.

Useless. Method. Ever.

My opinion: gameplay is dead! Very little strategy, just lots of supplies (especially mines due to that drone everyone uses).

Althernativa really should consider a part of Matchmaking to have no supply. While other does.

A great game with a great community.

I like the game but what frustrates me is a turret wielding the OP sword for a while until it gets nerfed and repeat. I don't like the opacity of the devs on particular mechanics, especially since the Wiki on it is very outdated.

Honestly, I see too much toxicity around to even call it a good community, far less a great community. You see a lot more disrespectful, toxic players than players who actually want to help others in the game. Players are relatively greedy compared to how they were years ago.

Those guys occupy topics like Game Discussion, there's a lot more to this forum. The writing and creativity sections are great examples.

only reason forum feels like a great place is because there are mods who are constantly removing any bad posts, insults and swears.

go to a battle and there are noob spammers, gold diggers and people who just randomly insult everywhere

That's a pessimistic point of view. There are great people out here.

tbh tanki X just looks like tanki online remastered version lol

i rly want to play it but i have a potato pc :c

You're not missing much. The game has died already just like this one. To be fair it was actually really fun and enjoyable when it was first released in 2016. But then they added nonsense like punishing players who quit a battle.

Devs don't necessarily fix bugs and glitches, they just put a bandaid on them. Even the best of bandaids eventually fail. One of the Mods mention a few days ago, that when the Devs do a big update they sometimes trigger old bugs and glitches. If the bug and glitch was fixed in the first place, it wouldn't be triggered.

wowza it's been a while but here goes

I think I first mad this account in 2014? and I played consistently (I was just a tad addicted heheh) until 2016 (albeit a couple potty breaks). In about early 2017 I stopped playing because I felt I had matured to the extent where video games seemed childish (an angsty 14 year old, don't ask). and the other day I just logged in after a good two years (except a couple times in 2018), and I've got to say, this game's really, really changed. and honestly, I don't think it's for the better. perhaps I'm merely nostalgic but I've gotta say, the game was a lot more fun back when it was simpler (without the special features for hulls and whatnot). and honestly, the community just seemed a LOT different back then, in a more homely way.

anyhow, that was just my two cents. I'd want to take up this game again but it's just too different for me now. plus all the friends I had made back then (and there were a ton) haven't been online in years. I guess I'm too old a tanker to adapt to the new tanki

I hope I'll see you guys around, but in case I never do, I wish you the best of luck in both tanki life, as well as the real one -arguably, less of a priority for some of you ;) jkjk-

May the freeze be with you.

Wow that’s almost the same story as me. Started 2014, played little at the end of 2016. Then stopped playing until 2019

I enjoyed this game passionately when I started playing sometime around (est.) mid-2011. The game was very basic. No product kits. No overdrives. No game-breaking turrets.

I remember when Product kits came out in update 186, there was a kit called "Medium Tank M2" -- it was the most unbalanced product kit to ever be released. If that tank wasn't on your team, you lost. I remember playing Stadium CTF (yes, it was very popular then), and at least 2 of the opposing players with the kit moving up and down the field destroying anyone that spawned in the bleachers. I continued to play despite my frustration, and the developers eventually removed the kit and created new product kits.

Overdrives was an exclusive mechanic that was introduced in an event, and was later incorporated to be a permanent feature. The effect was very strong. Remember when repair kits practically healed you to full health instantly? The requirement to charge your overdrive wasn't very difficult either -- you often had overdrive vs overdrive fights, whoever used it second would often win. The frequency of overdrives in a match made it okay -- if you had your overdrive, it was as likely your opponent had theirs too.

The new overdrives are different. It forces you to play in ways that may not be your style of play. I enjoyed being a mid-field Viking player prior to this update. Now I need to be more aggressive since the overdrive (that lasts like 6 seconds) increases my rate of fire, which is practical for close combat. I invested a lot of crystals to make it M3 when I purchased it. Now it's a weaker, less versatile tank than it was.

Magnum. Broke. The. Game. Tanki's maps were created to have certain lines of sight, and followed their "three-lane" style of development. Throw all that out the window with Magnum. There aren't any obstruction in the sky! Launch a bomb across the map behind the house where your flag is being held! Magnum destroyed the reputation of some beloved maps of the past like Silence and Noise. This turret pissed me off so much, and it still does to this day.

I've moved on from Tanki. The balancing is atrocious. I play perhaps once a week to experience new updates and things -- far less than the hours I used to invest daily.

Me too, I continue to play even when I get frustrated in the game. Module price skyrocket and drones is what frustrated me the most, more than all turrets combined.

Oh yes, I liked the old Overdrive too. But now, only Dictator have it. I mean, free drugs and freeze targets as a Dictator. I'm enjoying Hornet's and Viking's Overdrive.

Well.... Viking does not necessary have to be close range. Viking-Railgun is one example. One can spam his/her supercharged Railgun shot for 7 seconds. Yes, Viking can mid-field though and it is still a versatile hull.

Magnum broke the game??? Dude, I find Magnum annoying too, but nonetheless I like it. Whether I get struck by that Big Bertha shot, I get annoyed but refraining myself from buying Griffin module. But then, why didn't you buy Griffin module earlier this week???

Hm.... so what are some rebalancing you want to see that may satisfy and you would play more again?

It used to be that at least if you paid a bit, you could claim a win, now the game just throws you in a team with losers and the opponents all have the drone with all supplies active, get in the battle faster and win before you can blink. I don't know why I am thrown in with the losing players 90% of the time, but it just keeps happening. And it's not like most of those fights are ones that already had started a minute or two ago, no, those are fights.

Why is this happening and what can I do? Group up with 3 other players that I know have drones and are good upgrade for their rank to fight? Going solo now isn't an option?

The only fun I have had is when I'm placed with MUCH lower rank players on this account, then I can just press DD and slaughter the opponent team to my heart's content for the most part. What is even the point in playing competitive when even if you had the drone yourself, you would be slaughtered by the opponent team having more players with the same drones? It's like even paying to win isn't an option now, now you have to pay and have your friends pay and play with them at the same time so you can actually get some wins.

Or may be that's all bull and for some reason the match-making is rigged so that it throws in all of the most P2W players that pressed the play button at the same time on one team, and the non-buyers and players who pay just a little in the other team? It can't be random coincidence that 90% of the games I instantly start to lose in.

The reason why MM kept throwing you to a losing battle is because those tankers who quitted that battle faced similar situation. It's not necessary that tankers who are dominating are always use OP drones.

Sadly, the only way to do is play solo mode.

For me, the fun comes when MM puts me to Highways Juggernaut and hope I dominate the battle. Or I get very high K/D.

Thing is, those P2W wants to win like you, except they have taken too far that F2P stand no chance at all.

It would still be difficult if MM puts you into a DM or JUG which has started more than a minute.  Most of your enemies should be able to use overdrives seconds after you enter the battle.

You are right. I was getting into losing teams in MM, not everytime but almost everytime (like %80).

The first time I've ever paid this game was 2016, I bought 20k crys and a kit which was priced as 4 USD, I bought it to my alt acc. It wasn't a big price, then I became happy and I thought it would be enough for a long time. As long as I ranked up, I faced stronger enemies so I had to buy much. Ofc, I didn't buy.

The second (and the last one as well) time I paid this game was the first challenges. I paid and I got incredible paints. I was quite happy because just for 8$, I had a lot of goods.

Now, I realised that I paid this game not more than 15 USD in total, but if I didn't paid, I wouldn't be happy. But I paid and I got happy after my pays.

The point is that you have to pay if you want to be happy, because this game sucks for non buyers.

Tanki Online is the true game to play if you got money, because there are a lot of addicted people who are non buyers in this game. They get trampled by buyers in every battle but they still play, so this way buyers are happy.

If there was no non-buyers in this game, buyers wouldn't be happy as a tanki that is composed of only buyers would have no difference from a tanki that is composed of only non-buyers. In both, your skills play important role. Because everyone is the same.

But in current tanki, only your money plays role, that's all.

My advice may not be very helpful, but I suggest you buy the module if Magnum is being a real pain.

They used to blast my tank in mere seconds, but now after finally getting some protection, they fear me when I approach.
