Your Opinion about tanki

being able to turn the tide of the battle is exactly the point of overdrives, its to help losing teams have a chance of actually being able to fight back. They are the one consistent thing in battles, no matter what rank you are or the turret your using. if your losing a battle, you need to reevaluate what hull your using and make changes accordingly. overdrives are honestly just a big game of rock paper scissors. hunter beats titan, titan beats viking, viking beats dictator, etc. look at the hulls your enemies are using and switch to one that will beat theirs.

The problem is that this will only work when 

 

1) You aren't getting spawncamped

2) Battles are well-balanced. I had an ASL battle that was balanced (we lost) and I actually had fun with OD's, but I still would prefer a game without ODs and drugs

3) You have all the hulls. I mainly use two hulls, Titan and Wasp (both m1 10/10) I cannot just switch to Viking (for example) because it's too weak for my rank. I'm usually fighting an uphill battle with high tier m2/m3 hulls and turrets.

 

TL;DR: ODs could be fun, but MM and the current game economy make it hard to do so. I've heard things get better in the Legend ranks, but my only experience with those ranks would be in the test server.

The problem is that this will only work when

tanki WAS a great game. been a player since late 2013, and it started going downhill since 2016. these buyers are spending their money on this game, and the developers only care about themselves. might as well pay $20 to the developers and not play this game at all, because you basically just "win". hopefully someone will fix this heap of , because every normal and fair player is done with it.

I mean if your smart, you could manage to play this game rather easily even if you aren’t a buyer (in not). When starting the game try to main 1 turret and hull and keep upgrading as you pass ranks. Without buying I reached gauss m2/ titan m2 within the rank of warrant officer 4. I had nothing the help me just a few containers here and there, missions and battle funds. This also gave me a huge advantage over players because at that time I was also rationalizing my drugs so they wouldn’t run out. Luckily since I got the promo code. I was able to get many other paints and turrets from it but my main combo would always be gauss and titan. If you are at low ranks like me and have a fully upgraded m1 turret and hull, now your task is to save up crystals to get a m2 kit. I’m saving up now and I have about 100k. And watch for garage resets so you could pick your desired turret/hull

Someone even removed my post when I noticed that our argument got removed.

 

What you said is true, gaming has really gone downhill and is about pushing the most amount of lootboxes and cashgrabs to your face.

If you are adept at knowing when to quit a battle (the earlier the better), then tanki can be somewhat enjoyable.

 

I wish tanki would disable the flag for the first minute of CTF battles. All too often the battle is over no sooner has it begun. When this happens I tell the team to "go TDM" as there is simply no point when you are 2-0 down within the first minute.

Ooo, this sounds interesting. Although it may favour the stronger team because they'll charge their Overdrives faster. A player on the weaker team could spawn before the others and cap a flag for their team whilst the enemies are respawning, which makes the current system technically more "weak" friendly.

If you were to point at ever issue of the game and how the game has changed over the years, of course you would end up quitting, find reasons to play, if not any take a break for a few months, and come back again.

I am getting absolutely sick of this.

 

Magnum keeps one-shotting my M4 viking when I have double armor applied. The thing is, the magnum doesn't have the hornet overdrive activated when it is killing me (just double damage).

 

How can magnum do 6001+ DMG in 1 shot?

 

The user indian panzer kept doing this to me and I just quit the battle because I am really pissed off and fed up of this game now.

So I've always enjoyed watching vids from the old days of tanki...mainly for nostagia even tho ive only played for about 2 years. And I've noticed something. Now days, you see some players dominating and others multing...in those days, the players who had k/d of like .09 were trying, they just didnt have supplies or equipment to compete.

 

I used to be baffled how players could dominate so easily...now I watch those old vids and see m4 turrets one shotting m2's and similar, while the m4 was using supplies and the m2 couldn't. These days, when a player gets wrecked, its not bc they only have m1s or dont have supplies. Everyone has these things, and I personally think it means everyone has a much better chance to participate

The nice thing is nowadays, even f2p players can spam supplies like the biggest buyer out there

And take down them down with Horne's Overdrive. The playing field has somewhat been levelled since the new Overdrives. They can drug and dominate all they want but that doesn't stop a Shaft on Hornet killing them.

speaking of hornet OD... something needs to be done. 

 

At the VERY LEAST the recharge rate should be nerfed considerably.  Between dictators and recharge supply drops, many hornets are on OD for most of those 7 minutes.

Hmm, how many do I manage to activate in the average 7-minute battle? I'd say about 4 or 5, if I do well on my own. Maybe pull of 7 or 8 if I'm doing exceptionally well and Dictators are on the team. I mean, the hardest part of being a Hornet is going up against many high-% protections while having little HP yourself. Because of that, you'd have to play extra well to make sure you make the most of that Overdrive at any given time. Any failed attempts and you're doing less than optimal damage for your team. So when I'm facing all these Magnum protections, it's vital that I have maximum accuracy:

Hornet OD and you're discussing protections?  Even without the OD active, there's so many turrets out there, odds are many enemies are unprotected unless it's a dinky map like Sandal or something huge like Highways where it's predictable what will be equipped.

 

Haven't played hornet for a while.  My alt had some CP missions so I equipped hornet freeze.  Finished top-2 on my team every battle.

And that's me out-of-practice.

 

For kicks I tried it with Gauss in rugby.  Went 21-6 with 2nd highest score in battle (I wasn't capping - just killing everyone that tried to defend).  It was ridiculously easy to get kills.

Is everyone playing on HTML5 now?

 

I don't like it. Railgun is harder to use than before and my timing is off. I'm also finding enemies harder to spot. I'll give it time but it looks like I am done with tanki online now.

Tried HTML5... don't like camera or the movement and yes, aiming is more difficult.

 

So I'll keep using Flash until that disappears.  Then maybe find something else to do.
