Completed New status and category tagging system for ideas

Greetings everyone! 

 

I am pleased to announce that one whole year has passed since we made changes in the ideas section, and a lot has happened since then. Old "idea enthusiasts" became inactive, new players got interested in the section, moderators came and went. I enjoyed every moment of it, so to mark this special date I'm creating this special topic to summarise our efforts.

 

 

And so, here is a review of the ideas submitted throughout the past year:

 

 

Number of ideas approved and put "under review": 513

Number of ideas declined: 505

Number of duplicate ideas merged: 661 (approx.)

Number of invalid topics locked: 98

Number of topics hidden without approval: 600 (approx.)

 

Number of ideas forwarded to developers: 312

Number of ideas implemented in the game: 42

 

Total number of idea topics submitted by players and processed by moderators: 2446  (on average 6.7 per day)

 

 

 

 

Now, you may notice that in the topic I linked above the second post has a list of planned changes for the section:

 

 

• Moving any interesting topics from archive back into the main section
• Renaming all current active idea topics to include tags and more informative titles
• Adding official forum tags
• Adding a rating system to allow players to vote ideas by means other than "likes"
• Adding a guide for posting new ideas
• Sorting through the pinned topics (and the old I&S topic) to select potential ideas and record them
• Creating a list of all current ideas.

 

 

 

Throughout the year we did recover some great archived topics, a couple of which got added to the game recently, and we did rename all current ideas and almost all of them follow the current format.

 

And today (6th of May) we implemented the new tags system, which you can already see being added all topics in this section. All old statuses in [brackets] will be replaced with the official tags, which is much neater, easier to see and allows you to find other ideas with the same tags with a single click. All ideas will also have category tags, meaning that it is now much easier to find ideas with similar themes, or search for duplicated before posting a new idea. You can find ideas with certain tags either by clicking a tag on one of the topics (this gives all other ideas with the same tag), or search for specific tags with the advanced search option:

It's not like they are randomly picking the ideas. You can't talk about how many chance someone has. It depends on how good the idea is and if it is even possible to implement it in the game...

It's not like they are randomly picking the ideas. You can't talk about how many chance someone has. It depends on how good the idea is and if it is even possible to implement it in the game... 

It depends on the devs mood that day.did you know the premium idea was an idea posted on forum by a random player? boy those devs must have been in a really good mood that day to accept it - i want double funds and a cool paint for paying a bunch of money!

the devs only accept ideas that will help them make more money.

new idea .. change the colors for these buttons you just created , you gave me a small head-ache from just looking at it . the words  seem to be a little blurry  , try a lighter color or some thing that don;t bother the eyes.
