What turret do you like?

I never played with twins and not sure if smoky m2 will be competitive. Like ,is it good if everyone drug non stop? I was railgun lover, but now it doesn't work well. You can check with what hulls\turrets I am playing.

I saved 800k so far and never bought any crystals.

I am not sure what modules to buy i was planning to get twins isida and striker protection i see alot of ricos

And hammer in battle but i have m2 protection modules against them, should i get twins isida striker or twins hammer rico

Or twins isida rico ?

I already have m3 protections for freeze fire smoky shaft rail and m4 combo titan/twins i am thinking about the new turret

And hull also but am not sure.

Twins / Hammer / Rico for the win!

Ram kit or Atlas?

You should definitely go with the Ram Kit. Get the twins alteration called "Stabilized Plasma". You won't regret your purchase, as you'll always finish in the Top 5 players of the battle, supplies or non-supplies battle. Good Luck!

Should I buy;

Fire bolt, Excalibur or Raider?

u already have rico and dictator m2.

better to MU that to m3, its a great combo, does well in all maps, all modes (except in killing juggernaut).

spend remaining crystals on 25% thunder protection, and MU that in sales. you have 0% from thunder right now.

buying a kit would be a waste, though if you really want one of these 3, then the striker viking would be best.

Greetings O respected Legends and M3s...blessings upon your upper echelon slaughter.

I have stated using this ByeByeBye account again in an attempt to see if M3/M4 is any better than the crap I am playing in now at this rank.  I'm thinking I'm in a transition rank between M2 and M3 and getting creamed badly every single battle...everyone is always higher rank than me and I just can't compete with all the M4 equipment with my fully MUed M2.

I can use any turret and any hull pretty well.  In this new OD environment (yeah, I know the ODs will get changed around as Tanki fiddles for cash flow) what kit should I buy?  I already have saved up enough crystals to MU anything to M4 as soon as wait times allow...actually, I don't even know if that is a good strategy....maybe it would be better to buy two (three??) different kits with lower MUs for more battle adaptability.  I dunno.

Based on M0-M1-M2, it looks like Firebird/Hunter might be a good start in the big leagues, but I've noticed many many Uber-Legends (I'm tracking the most advanced Legends...go look and "like"...Uber-Legends) are using Titians with various projectile weapons.  But I'm very open to any suggestions (I do suck with Rail, but I could learn).

Hello there, and thanks for coming in to ask us before you buy. I'm a pro Shaft player, clocking in at around 250 hours played on both this and other accounts. Right now, many things dominate, especially Viking's Overdrive.

As you might already know, I despise all people who use Viking (which is 60% of the current playerbase). This is further amplified in Juggernaut mode and is simply like a plague. Recently, I've been going around with Shaft-Hornet, and it is by far the most powerful combination.

Allow me to explain. In the past, you couldn't do anything against people which have protection modules or DA against you. However, Hornet's OD allows you to bypass ALL of that and always land a one-shot kill on anyone regardless of what Overdrive they have (except if they are using Mammoth's AT-Field). Hornet is very maneuverable and great when paired with camoflauge like Urban. You blend in very easily, which allows you to snipe people from afar and take minimal damage. However, you have to constantly change position, as you could soon be on the receiving end of 4 Uranium rockets.

I've looked at your profile, and you're in a pretty bad position. You only have 2 M2 turrets and only 1 M2 hull. I've talked about why I think Shaft-Hornet is the best kit as of now, and now that you're moving into Brigadier, this means that you can go ahead and buy this monster from the Shop. A great perk of this kit is that it is fairly cheap when compared to the others, which means that you'll be able to save money for something else as well. That, however, is up to you. At our ranks, you need a M3 kit which you main. Mine are two - Shaft/Hornet and Ricochet/Hunter. I'm bringing in the Stormbringer in a couple of days, which means I'll change to Vulcan/Hunter and Dictator/Ricochet.

If you are as good as you say and are a marksman, then this kit is for you. However, if you decide not to follow my advice, you will probably suffer. The Uranium and Sledgehammer spam is brutal these days, and without protections or a kit that is just as good, you might as well just give up.

Trust me on this. Centaur will be your friend. Centaur will be your savior.

NEVER underestimate this kit.

PM me if you need any more info.

Thank you. This is exactly the kind of input I was hoping for.   I know I have a crap garage, butr every time I Mued something to the max Tanki nerfed it to garbage.

I used to be a monster with Twins/Viking but that died when they slowed the projectile speed...now it is just about worthless.  Same thing with Vulcan.  I know many think that Viking has a great OD...and it does...once a battle, but that is not enough when everything else has a better more functional OD.  Viking has the very worst OD.  Again Tanki cut the rug out from under me with my 10/10 Viking.  Tanki ruined Isida for a time, but it has made a multiple buff come back and that is my turret of choice for this account now.  I can limp my equipment along to M3...I don't want to spend even a crystal on any more M2 stuff.

The Shaft sounds fine and even fun.  Is the arcade mode effective at the M3/M4 level?   I worry about what Tanki might do to Hornet's OD in the future...it wouldn't take much of a tweak to ruin the effect you are talking about.  Is the diameter of the "stop supply" effect large enough for Shaft to effectively snipe affected targets or is that used more in arcade mode?

First off, thanks for reading my reply and going along with it. Some people here have done that in the past and suffered. Props to you for listening.

I'm glad to hear that my response was good. The arcade shots deal a consistent 600 damage without DD, enough to 5 shot a medium tank. Now, you may think that that is trash, but combine this with a fast reload speed and DD, and you've got a killing machine at short range, too. As for Hornet's OD, I think it has a place, and even though it might get nerfed, I don't think they'll be doing anything to it in the meantime.

The diameter of Hornet's OD is infinite. The main thing that you'll have to learn is to decide quickly when to snipe and when to spam arcades. The effective range of the arcade shots is about 1/4 of the length of Barda (to give you some perspective), so learn to base it off of that.

And yet another question along the same lines.  At M3 would it be better to buy two or three kits creating an arsenal of diversity with low MUs or pick one kit and run it up to M4?

In the lower ranks my strategy has been to buy one kit and MU it to the max asap.  That has been very effective except where Tanki guts the equipment with a mondo nerf.  Is it the same in M3 or is it better to have lower MUs and different turrets/hulls?  ...like Shaft, Firebird, Smoky, Rico - Titian, Hornet, Hunter

Two kits should serve you well. I'll be upgrading my Hunter and my Shaft on the sales, but look at my garage, and you'll see that I main only two kits. Both of them are great, and they don't receive as many nerfs as compared to Striker or Hammer.

I would say buy two kits of M3 - Redneck and Centaur, but max one out. My personal preference is to max out Hunter and Shaft, but this is up to you. That way, even if your M4 kit gets nerfed, you'll still have a fallback to rely on. And relax, everything they nerf gets an equal buff sometime after the nerf.

If it's any comfort to you, I can tell you that I can destroy guys like this in battle: https://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/ARAS45

With my Shaft/Hunter M2, bought on the advice of the most estimable @Tidebreaker, to whom I am most deeply indebted.

Well, I've always liked Shaft, but never used it much.  I have an old Twins/Viking account that has a good supply of crystals.  I did the one mission a day thing religiously an got to rank 10 with only M0-Smoky10 and M0-Hunter8.  Sadly, I bought my previous favorite kit, Corsair (Twins/Viking) and preceded to MU both turret and hull to 10/10 along with buying the 50K alteration that stops self damage (forgot the name)...so a huge investment down the tubes because, just as I put on the last MU, Tanki changed the speed of Twins projectile and totally ruined my style of play with Twins....I used to be an unstoppable demon with Twins especially when Viking was more stable than Hunter, but even after the Viking nerf I was deadly.  But now, after the Twins nerf, I can't do squat with Twins.  Tanki took my months and months of work and nerfed it to crap in one toxic update.

Sorry, I'm still angry about what they did to Twins and thereby ruining my Twin accounts, but. I digress.  That rank10 account still has enough crystals to buy the Piranha kit (Shaft/Hornet) and MU it to a decent level...so I bought it!  I assume (I hope...probably should have asked first) it will be similar to the M3 version, Centaur.  So I will be giving it an M1 test drive.  Good idea or did I screw the pooch for my cash heavy rank 10 account?

PostScript:  Oooo, I just played my first few battles with Piranha.  It's only MUed to 2, but I sure do have a steep learning curve...yikes!  I did terrible.  The Hornet at MU 2 is like paper and gets one shotted by everything.  Shaft is fun, but I think it needs lot of MUs for the arcade shot to be of real value.

Why Hunter with Shaft?   The OD is not really suitable - unless you use rapid-fire alt a lot.

Well, it is part of the Chiropractor kit, so that's one reason. I'm getting Fireworks next time it comes out, to use Shaft with Hornet, but the OD totally helps, when I get attacked by the endless Freeze/Vikings in JGR. I can usually kill them without it, but if I have no drugs available or they have full drugs I'll just OD them.

Viking-Twin is still good, especially with Stabilized Plasma. But good luck when dealing M4 Panther!

Viking-Firebird.... my top 1/2 favorite Firebird combination. Give it a shot, especially with Incendiary Mix.   :D

Hello.

I've taken a 4 year break from Tanki. These days when I play, all I see is m4s in the battlefield, I barely get to the top of the battle stats. Sometimes I do.. When I go SuperSayan mode   Anyways. I've not been thinking of making my tank m4 lately, I've been thinking of buying new m3s. Since they give us a new way of playing. I play Tanki mostly for time pass and fun. And buying new m3s give me a lot of fun and changes my way of playing. Let me get to the question here. Among all the m4s I play with in battle. Which of these will be better? Shaft m3, Magnum m3, Twins m3, or Firebird m3? I'm planning to buy any one of them in the upcoming sales.  :D

If you've really taken such a long break from Tanki, you'll be surprised to see how much more powerful Shaft is now than it was all those years ago. Shaft M3 packs a huge punch to people, even with Light Capacitors.

Twins is for people who are very good with bricks. Magnum is for the serious campers.

However, I do quite like Firebird. If you can harness it right, I don't think many people will be getting away from you that often, especially with Compact fuel tanks. Still OP.

fire m2 is great, but wasp m2 not so.

there are too many weapons that can one shot wasp

now that hornet overdrive ignores double armour and modules, its even worse.

hornet-rail, hornet thunder - all will target you.

wasp does not have enough health.

so from the 3 u mention, striker-viking > magnum-viking > wasp-fire

with magnum reload is very slow, and hard to be accurate at long range.

think magistral ctf - magnum wont be useful on many maps.

striker is slightly better at long range.

with striker you can later buy the alteration that increases damage. its very strong, i tried on test server.

I think the question shouldn't be which m3 kit is the best because that hard to say when there are a lot of good kits. You should reword it to say "which kit best suits your playing style".

And I would say nomad kit if it's available that is.

Also there's a topic called "what to buy? Which is better?"
