also, i recommend aborigine kit for ur rank if u like hunter soooooooo much and despise viking then, so argue now or forever hold ur peace plz. also, why i hate hunter: it's overdrive is bad, also with the release of tankoins being imminent, i can't buy product kits with hunter M1 anymore, also i have insufficient drugs to support any of hunter's product kit, because viking fires DD shots, w/ no reload, even when u have no DD activated. that's why i like viking so much. so i can kill the juggernaut within seconds.

How dare you insult the might of hunter?! Yes, ok, we get it, you love easily slaughtering the juggernaut with Viking. But hunter can easily neutralize your Viking's overdrive by frying you. While it won't disable its overdrive, it'll definitely cripple your capabilities on the battlefield. 3 seconds of complete immobilisation, that's a little under half of Viking's overdrive duration. One zap from hunter and you'd have basically wasted your overdrive. Even if Viking's OD isn't interrupted by hunter, you'll have wasted your OD because of the time it takes for Viking to re-accelerate. By the time you'd have caught up to your runaway juggernaut, your OD will be finished! Hunter is more stable because of its weight, has a superior acceleration, and can easily push your Viking because of its greater power stat. I'm not trying to diss Viking, I'm just trying to emphasize the point of not underestimating hunter. Personally, I love both Viking and hunter, and I can easily switch from using one or the other. Viking is powerful, I'll give you that, but hunter isn't without its strengths!

 

Btw, if you're saying that Hunter will only last you until private to get a better hull, you're implying dictator, aren't you? If you're going down that path, might as well use titan or wasp at recruit. Titan is free, and will keep your k/d nice and high from its heavy armour. If not, wasp can speed through enemies.

Occasionally I've had even thunders literally turn me 90 degrees away, and under fire from twins or a ricochet I almost stand no chance at correcting my movement to chase them down with isida. And yes you just need a scout to pummel the poor thing around the field, even an m3 at 10/20 upgrades.

I'd suggest using broadband radiators for your isida, but only if you're comfortable with getting up close and personal with your foes.

I can understand why you think Hunter is weaker than Viking. Actually in your ranks, you see a lot of Viking M1's (even further MUed) due to the early kits availability with Vikings. Meanwhile, Hunter M1 kits unlock few ranks later and they're overpriced so very few players buy them so what you see are Hunter M0s and Viking M1s+. I also used to think like you when I was your rank (even way before the release of new OD's) but once you reach W03 or later ranks your bubble will burst.

 

Viking is not weaker but Hunter has a lot of advantages that you may not realize now. First you've a much better aiming angles compared to Viking. Second, your OD can literally waste or reduce your enemy's OD (even Viking's, I've done this personally many times) Third, your OD is pretty fast (compared to Viking you can get more than double ODs). Fourth one, your control, turning speed and acceleration is noticeably better than Viking. Fifth, nobody can knock your aim easily like Viking.

 

Now come to strategy in team games. You're much better at defending flags/goals/ASL points. You can often cap flags in assault even when the whole enemy team is there defending their point (and get your next OD even much faster to cap next flag). You can stunt all the defenders and score a easy goal. Imagine scenarios where 1. a Titan invaded your base and activated it's OD to wipe your whole team, not a problem 2. a fully drugged up group of enemies invade your base, not a problem 3. A Viking activates it's OD in your base to wipe your whole team, not a problem (if he's in your range) 4. a Mammoth on OD is about to score a goal, not a big problem (you can't kill him but you can waste 65% of it's OD time which is often enough to stop it from scoring) 4. a Wasp invaded your base and activated it's bomb to wipe your whole team, not a problem. Basically you can benefit your whole team.

 

If you compare individual strengths I would say both have ups and downs, but strategy wise Hunter surely has a good advantage. I hope you see the Point now.

Lel if you read HBTY's post before, he/she talked me out of it. The actual real reason why I hate Hunter, it has the latest unlock rank of all M1 hulls. I've never been past sergeant-major in my whole 2 years in TO, including going idle for 3 years, from 2015 - 2018. I heard about the "Disintegration" update, when TO stripped the paints from their protection, making animated paints, including Cryo, a possibility. Even FLOW was added 1 year after the disintegration update! BTW I got this info from yt.

That's what I use when I don't use support nanobots, but I love healing 800 hps without DD :D and thus viking is the only thing that lets me aim that floppy beam.

You would need a heavy hull, upgraded as much as possible for as much HP as possible. You'd need as much Firebird protection as you can get your hands on. You'd need enough double amours and repair kits to maintain yourselves. You'd also need to know exactly when to use the repair kit to obtain as much healing from the repair kit. mistiming it can get you 1,150 HP but timing ti correctly could give you up to ~2,000 Hp, which is a lot more time to burn any enemy that comes within your line of sight before you die.

Then i'll get pitbull kit bc hammer + hunter/viking = the ultimate killing machine. it's even better than railgun + hunter/viking! i only say hunter/viking, bc i haven't confirmed it yet with hunter, bc it gets killed too easily, but i have confirmed it with viking. also surprisingly, i'm a light buyer, i only buy battle pass and some cheap product kits  :D

 

p.s i'm not very interested in parkour either, i'd only use parkour to drop some golds possibly for some people in the future, or it's for me. turn on private battle before u drop golds for yourself btw

Just as I suspected. 

 

That video was uploaded on the 3rd of December, 2018. That was during the time Incendiary Band was overpowered, yes. But it has changed since then. On the 10th of April, every Vulcan was nerfed in that it would deal 1/3 of its damage when overheating. So essentially, Incendiary Band Vulcans dealt a lot less damage than they did before. While it was a big nerf for all Vulcans, it hit Incendiary Band pretty hard (thankfully). 

 

Another change that happened on the 10th of April was a nerf for Incendiary Band. Before, it would decrease the direct damage by 10% when not overheating, but that was increased to 20%. So it deals 20% less damage when overheating and then that damage is decreased by 75%. 

 

It's funny because when you mentioned that Mr.Thunder said that, I thought back to the exact same scenario I remember seeing in a past video that was shown in the video you sent - him being a Titan Vulcan in a Kungur battle getting healed by an Isida. 

 

And funny I mention that as well, Isida:

 

Of course, in order for the overheating Vulcan to survive, it needs to have have many double armours and repair kits, but repair kits cna only do so much. Having a pet Isida can allow you to not get killed for the entire battle. What was in it for the Isida? The Isida got points for healing the Vulcan's self-damage from overheating. After a bit, Tanki made it so that Isida was not able to gather score or EXP from healing self-damage. So that alone discouraged some Isidas from sticking to the Vulcan, because unless the Vulcan be constantly under fire, they'd come at the bottom of the table. 

 

And then, you have the changes that Isida went through, like this one. Its HP healed per second was almost halved. So that's less healing you're giving that Vulcan, and for what? A lot less gain than you did previously. Even more incentive to ditch the Vulcans. And then the 75% overheating damage nerf came and that is what stalled and reduced the number of Incendiary band Vulcans you see today.

I am not fond of the Youtubers' "guide to getting 6 stars every battle" or their "Top 5 best alterations". They list the alterations that are clearly unbalanced and we give them credit for it because, "Didn't know it was that powerful. I'm going to buy it in the next sale!" 

 

It just fuels their disappointment when the clearly overpowered alteration is used by everyone. Players complain about Tanki changing the stuff they put crystals into, but what if they left Duplet the way it was when they implemented it? I am very sure that by now, every Hammer above would have it equipped. All Stock Hammers would fall below it at all times. What if Sledgehammer was never touched? Sledgehammer back when it had a 30% reload decrease was basically Smoky with splash damage. 

What if they had not touched Missile Launcher "Uranium" and it continued to have a 1.8-second reload at M4? 

 

 

 

This is where knowledge of the Patch Notes' existence comes in and influences your decision - it's your choice. You can either let the Youtubers decide what you spend your crystals on, or you could look at the parameter changes for yourself, gauge how it would be in practice and then observer others using it before deciding to buy it. 

 

I'm not saying you should stop watching their videos about which alterations are the "best", but don't be upset when they nerf something that is completely overpowered that you bought after grinding for crystals.

Alterations are supposed to be balance to stock equipment, if one is OP at a certain time, it will likely be nerfed sooner or later.

 

I think a non-buyer shoudn't be stocking up on alterations, it's better to invest in upgrading a hull and turret as much as possible.

Viking is generally killed quicker than Hunter with medium/long range turrets because Hunter allows you to deal more damage.

Ah, parkour. I'm a parkourist (or maybe some would say an aspiring one; judge for yourself). And surprisingly, I'm not actually a nub lol and am well aware that one turns on a private battle to drop golds for oneself, having done it many times in the past.

 

Funny that you say that. Tornado and Mosquito are actually the worst kits for parkour among the kits with a recoil turret (though it could be argued that Smoky is worse than Railgun). It seems you have a mistaken view of parkour, my friend. Parkour is not jumping off of ledges and flipping. Generally parkourists go up, not down, as a rule of thumb.

Osaka for sure; I should have gotten Osaka myself instead of Corsair. Isida m2 is not superb but it can last you a long time. Freeze m2 is strong when you get it and you can microupgrade it quickly; however, isida is generally more useful to the team in MM.

If you get osaka, you also need the crystals for broadband radiators. Hunter is tall for stock isida's beam. Siberian is pick and go, and the most common, so it'll provide you with useful defense against the other ones even if you don't use freeze.

i bought tsunami and cupid kits in the shop on TO mobile (total $34 NZD including tax), then use viking + hammer on the Flash client. but i feel like the dark energy kit was more worth it bc MFS (minus-field stabilization which is unlockable at master sergeant).
