What to buy? Which is better?

Okay so my options right now are:

Cyclops - better than Chiro since its cheaper and hull doesn't matter - 174k crystals.

Benefits include the shaft module and a hull for really cheap.  However, I have 119.7k crystals right now so I'll have to wait for a long time, both for kit rotations and getting the crystals.  (Should I MU Rico and Dictator during Halloween? M2.9 Rico and M2.2 Dictator currently.)

MU Shaft from 1.3 to m2 - can buy it all during the sales - 124k with 50% discount on upgrades and speedups.

MUing shaft is cheaper, and a lot faster, since I'll be buying speedups from 1.3 all the way to 1.9 during the sales.  I can save more for dictator and Rico but I won't get the module.  I can always wait for another sale to buy a m2 module, but it'll be a long time.

Basically, invest more and wait longer, or just mu shaft to m2 on Halloween sales?

Since Tidebreaker mentioned it, approximately when does RFM spam start? And is it really that horrifying?

Thanks for all the replies.

Wait for the Christmas sales.Christmas sales have 50% MU and SU sales, while Halloween has a minimum of 30% MU and SU sales.

If you already have a medium hull, then it makes total sense why Cyclops would be better than Chiro. Mammoth M2 is pretty good at your rank, no need to upgrade it that much.

Definitely MU Dictator to M3 during the sales. You'll see a huge improvement. Plus, you'll be able to catch some of those golds (not some, but many, since Dictator is just a gold magnet lol)

I would say wait and invest. You'll have a competitive loadout that can put the pain in to quite a distance with the Minus-field alteration. After that, save for the Cyclops kit and then focus on upgrading your Shaft and the module.

You'll need to do something about your current modules, but I would say you're in a pretty good position right now.

I’d just MU Dictator once during the coming Weekend discounts, probably the next weekend, and then once during Halloween, then save to buy M2 kit before Christmas.

If I’m not mistaken MUing and using SUs during discount days is worse that MUing without discounts.

It is unless you have 50/70% sales, then it becomes equal - so basically you should always just MU (unless you're really patient and just flat MU with no SUs just on sales)

u WOT M8??

smh...

Discount days are actually better for MUs and SUs, because they come at a better price, and nonetheless, they are better to purchase.

I think it was equal when MUs and SUs had 50% and 75% discount respectively. But with 50% and 70% you're losing same money compared to just MUing without discounts,

Do the math, and you'll see that MUing and SUing is not better than just MUing without disconts.

Of course, only MUing during discounts is the best option, but if you SU, the expensive SU cancels the saving you have and even makes you pay more at the end. Unless you're very careful and take advantage of the countdown clock and few other things.

The SUs is good for those players that want to have an OP equipment as fast as possible, and also good for Tanki to take some crystals back from some players.

You're welcome. ;)

So? Most people only get 1 or 2 MUs with that method, while you could get 10 MUs (or 20 if you're MUing to M1 or M4), by just paying for also SUs. P.S it's a small price to pay for salvation.

E.g getting Shaft M2 MUed to M3 is worth 231300 with no discounts or SUs. You could also go through the same MU process to get it to M3 with 50% MU and 70% SU discount for just 254430 crystals. That's a 23130 crystal difference. (Hardly noticeable if you think about it).

You know, I was going to show you with images and numbers, but then I said "this is the same person that asked Maf to close your topic"...  and that's why the story ends, you wake up in your bed, and believe whatever you want to believe.

SUs cost twice as much as the MU step. So, if a MU costs 10,000 crystals, the SU will be 20,000 crystals.

Recently I did some math, and found out that the first /favorable/ MU/SU sale is 50% for MUs, 75% for SUs. In the example, I used 10,000 crystals for an MU and 20,000 for an SU. Nice, simple numbers. 50% off MUs would make starting the step cost 5,000 crystals, and 75% off SUs also costs 5,000 crystals.

So what was spent? 10,000. Thats the same amount as if you didn't buy the MU during a sale and just waited it out. Essentially, if you mashed the Speed Up button until you ran out of money, you don't /really/ have a discount. You're still paying full price for the modification.

Exactly. The only advantage of doing something like that would be to take advantage of getting a discount on the next MU. So basically you’re paying one MU at full price and getting the next one at a discount. But that’s with the 50/75% that we no longer get; with 50/70% we’re actually losing some compared to just doing 1 MU before discounts and doing the other at a discount.

Essentially, MUing and SUing on sales is ONLY better than MUing on no sales if you have a 50/75% MU/SU sale (it is the same cost, just cheaper). So just MU right now, then wait for Black Friday to finish it off.
