Is it a good idea for me to buy the Driver drone during the garage sales? I mean, I've got 649 batteries, and ~130k cry.

My turrets are Firebird Mk 4-6, Shaft Mk 4-6, and Smoky Mk 6-4.

Hulls are Wasp and Hunter Mk 4-6, and Titan Mk 6-4.

I'm also planning on MU-ing these turrets and hulls by one level each. Is this a good idea?

Don’t buy the drone, you won’t have enough crystals to consistently MU. Also, you have too many combos if you are f2p.

Noted. So, just MU my turrets and hulls and ignore driver? Also, I don't think I have too many combos. I only bought firebird by itself because I was in desperate need of something for close quarters, plus it pairs beautifully with hunter. Smoky is good for mid-range, and shaft lends a hand in long range. I mainly use hunter more often now, while occasionally using wasp and titan if the situation calls for it. I just want to be versatile enough so I can have some chance on the battlefield.

Welcome back! Been a long time since I last saw you here.

I have a 13/20 Driver on my alt and I can safely say that it is great if you can learn how to get kills quickly and work around the long cooldown. It fills up Overdrive charge very fast - 2 kills and you can have an EMP or a Radar ready to go. It's good even when unupgraded, but it's during the upgrade process when you see just how fast your OD recharges with this drone. However, it guzzles batteries quickly (less so than other drones), but you'll start to realize that Drones are not a cheap thing to maintain.

As for turrets/hulls - you probably know that I would recommend Shaft regardless of the situation, but I think that you'd benefit most if you were to focus on your protections. Trust me when I say that protections start to become very important in just a couple of ranks. Your hulls and turrets will serve you just fine for the time being, but if you absolutely insist on upgrading something, I'd say buy Vulcan and use Wasp with it. Now that is a great synergy right there.

You should probably also start thinking of an Mk6 kit that you'll want to buy - I'm not sure if Titan-Smoky will keep you interested enough for a long time, so make sure to pick something that you have fun with and that offers a new experience - the Dictator-Striker kit being a good example of this (totally not because of the easy golds you'll catch). So just keep saving and then make an informed decision later on before going on a shopping spree.

You want intercept to buy more combos? That is going to be a total of 4 hulls and 4 turrets, which is impossible to maintain as a f2p.

(I’m still assuming intercept is an f2p, as he didn’t say no.)

Just checked Intercept-1's profile, they have premium, so I take back whatever I said. If you are willing to pay, buy it. Buy it all.

it is totally possible to maintain multiple combos of good quality equipment.. you have my account as an example.

Do you get lucky drops, play a lot, or buy? It is impossible for me to maintain it, I cannot even get my single combo to mk8.

I was able to get a mk8 combo at field marshal, but it was difficult and requires alot of saving. I saved around 1.3 million crystals and waited till a sale and MUed till 17ish.

Field marshal... That’s a lot of mk7 vs mk8. That’s not really ‘maintaining’.

I'm actually an f2p, the premium was a 3 days premium drop from a cont for weekly missions.

Ok, thanks! I just burned 30k cry on upgrading my modules, hunter, smoky and fire by 1 step each. You're right, titan-smoky is starting to become a bit dull and redundant, hunter's more my jam. I'm probably aiming for something like hunter/fire or hunter/isida, as smoky can hold its own at a distance, but I need something for close quarters. Isida would be nice because I can heal as a bonus. Thoughts?

I would go with smoky, hunter, and fire.  All are strong, hunter is flexible, and smoky provides mid to long range while firebird works well in smaller maps.

I still don’t understand how you can afford to maintain all this.  Lucky drops, or playing a lot?

I got the huge crystal savings from the pre-mk update, where i dominated with m2 keeper. this allowed me to minimize spending and focus on playing. I got some occasional lucky drops from containers, (some crystal packs here and there, and I openly welcomed the common supplies drops), and try to play as much as possible. There was a huge element of luck and lots of trial and error, as this account is what I consider to be my best. My first acc R3VOLUTION was neglected and was full of poor decisions. It tooks lots of smart play to bring the k/d back to above one. kNormal was a great acc 'til I screwed up and bought tornado kit instead of boar, and I foolishly thought I could've regenerated the 100k crystals I wasted, so that was a bust. The success of this account lies behind keeper kit, may its OP and unbalanced soul rest in peace.

Don’t bother with railgun.  Everyone has protection against it.  If you must though, don’t bother with round stabilisation, and get destabilisation, which is broken.

The reason why I bother with railgun is that it's the one of the turrets that you don't have to use supplies with and why is destabilisation better? If I would play siege with stabilisation I think I could get many XP due to its penetration 100.

If you don't use supplies with rail, the only option is to camp.  And even then, you won't be dealing much damage.  Destabilisation's damage range is not a bell curve(which it should be) but leans towards higher damage.  Can allow 1 shots of medium hulls.  It is unpredictable though, so its not for everyone.  I wouldn't like it personally.

If you want spam the point in Siege, you can simply go Hornet Gauss and be that guy that no one likes.  Don't need supplies either, apart from the occasional DD.

Thanks and there's one last thing. Is isida supportive nanobots alt. good? I've been playing a bit with isida, because I like the healing combined with attacking , but it's not giving me XP so I'm a bit stuck (it's embarrassing on my level). I often play with railgun because it's also fun. Should I buy the destabilisation or nanobots?

I think nanobots is good, but relies on your teammates.  Ask @TheCongoSpider about it, one of his main combos is Titan isida nanobots.

Also, if you are f2p and want to stay competitive, stick with a single combo, or maybe even 1.5.  Don’t amass a collection of 5 turrets at mk2 against mk5s.  I don’t know your current situation, so I’m just warning you about getting both of you are straying into that area.

Again, I would go with neither, but I’m leaning towards nanobots as healing is fun.  Also depends on your hull.

Should I buy Smoky's Incendiary Round Alteration? If yes, why? I posted a question about it in the Q&A section. You can visit it directly here.

Yes.  It's better than stock.  Burning damage is greater than critical and target needs 2 modules to get fully protected.

Personally, i prefer the supercumulative rounds alteration which gives much more damage. Ive tried the Incendairy rounds for a while but i didnt liked it. The burning effect is minimal and im not feeling i get any advantages from it, but thats maybe just me.
