What to buy? Which is better?

For anyone who doubts that Chiropractor is good...

No one has ever said that this kit isn't good... Now then, try to rank up to Marshall, or even Lieutenant General (Ranks that M3s are available), it's going to be a very long run, no doubt.

Ha ha, everyone on here should know I'm just messin' with ya. I would say it's the best M2 kit is Chiropractor, but that battle is a bad example because 36 of those kills were with the JGR, sooo. ;)

You can definitely rank up to Second Lieutenant with the stuff you have. But that being said, Stalker kit is very different of the turret/hull you're using at the moment. What I mean by different, is the way you'll play. With the freeze, while shooting at others, you don't lose your lives, such as striker. You probably didn't realize that simple thing, but over the time, if you're used to play with freeze, it'll be hard to go with Striker, unless you're very good at it. But........ If ever you decide to go with your ambitions, and buy the Stalker Kit, I surely don't recommend you to MU it to M3. The first reason is that you'll only be able to upgrade your M2 (10/10) at Marshall rank, which isn't that good. I would recommend you to just buy it, and don't really upgrade it, and stack up the crystals to get an M3 kit of your choice at Lieutenant General rank.

YES, definitely, if I had one alteration to recommend you on the freeze, it's the Corrozive Mix. Yes, it'll remove your "freeze effect" but the damages will be very much higher than they were. If ever you're not interested in removing the "freeze" effect, you can get the High Pressure Pump, which is a sure value. Good Luck in the future, and good luck in the battlefields! :)

I wouldn't really agree with you on the part where you say that I will have trouble using Stalker Kit. Apparently I had another account with Smoky M2 at Sergeant Major and also an account with M1 Rocket Launcher-Hunter at Staff Sergeant and I noticed that Smoky and Rocket launcher functions and reload are pretty similar. That makes it a whole lot easier for me to use the Rocket launcher thingi.

Well I guess I'll agree with you on not to MU it and collect. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to collect up to 2 million.

Now as for the Freeze alteration. I guess I will go for the HPP. I will need it because of the speed of Hunter M2. I will also however MU my Hunter 3 times.

Smoky and Striker are very different.

They may have similar reload times, but smoky is much easier to get hits with.  It's shots are instant and can't be dodged.

Even though the Hunter alt makes the striker single-missiles guided - they can still be avoided by getting behind an object - even another tank.

And even on the bridge they may be on. So many times I lock onto that person and rock my Hunter forward to get it over the wall but it sometimes never does. Really hate it when I keep locking onto them but the missile keeps impacted the bridge.

At least with this alteration, you have more of an element of surprise than Stock Striker. You can kill an unprotected hull quicker when you use double damage.

Edit: Oh, and the maximum projectile speed is decreased by 50% so it's even easier to avoid than Stock Striker.

Here's where I disagree. Corrosive Mix got nerfed to the point that its damage increase is only 5%. 5% is ridiculously low for me, and I won't waste 90k on an alteration which removes the freezing effect while only giving 5% extra damage. I bought Shock Freeze and it's actually way better. Don't mind the price - the alteration just turns people into ice within a second. You want that Juggernaut? Go get it! With Hunter's OD, they won't stand a chance.

I do agree with the High Pressure Pump. I used that alteration a lot back in the day and I have nothing but positive things to say about it.

How do you think I got up to where I am now? I started at Major in November and here I am in May. It's not even a long run if you know how to use Shaft properly.

Now I'm not one to undermine Corrosive Mix, even after the nerf. Before the nerf, I had though that a 10% increase in damage while removing the Freezing effect wasn't worth it but I was wrong. I saw Corrosive Mix Freezes dominating with that. Even against protection. It just didn't make sense to me.

Post-nerf Corrosive Mix is great still but I see more Stock Freeze than them now. Most likely due to the nerf coupled with increased protection against Freeze.

I like using High Pressure Pump. I remember people saying that it's UP or it just can't work but it could work. It seems to be better on Freeze though. The only things I can't fight with it is Ricochets, Twins and Smokies (to an extent).

Well I think turning 50% protection into 40% was a good deal, also people would think that you are freezing them when you are not so that was a bonus for some easy kills

Tanki birthday is coming and i intend to buy 3 protection modules + blaster drone and mu it 10 steps + some drugs

I saved 800k so far and never bought any crystals.

I am not sure what modules to buy i was planning to get twins isida and striker protection i see alot of ricos

And hammer in battle but i have m2 protection modules against them, should i get twins isida striker or twins hammer rico

Or twins isida rico ?

I already have m3 protections for freeze fire smoky shaft rail and m4 combo titan/twins i am thinking about the new turret

The godofwar was probably planned to be released on Tanki's B-day, which means that if all goes according to the way it has gonepreviously, we should be getting it by next year at the earliest. Seriously, it's probably coming on June 4, so go for that if you want to.

I say (Hammer/Twins) + Striker + Rico would be the most useful, with the recent duplet nerf if there are less hammers in battle go for twins protection

Well we don't know if there would be less since the update hasn't been put out yet.  :) But it makes sense considering they're the ones that flcok to the more powerful turrets.

He already has at least 25% Hammer and Rico protection. That's kind of close to 35% so he shouldn't use those crystals to buy those; he should use it to buy one he doesn't have. I'd say for him to go for Striker, Twins and Isida. If not Isida, then you may make one of your M2 protections M3.

I'd still go for ricochet 35% even if he has a 25% since they are more common and deadly than Isida

Hey there!

I'm currently sitting at 116015 crystals, and am considering to save my crystals and invest in another m2 kit (I've got Tornado kit :/). I'm currently stuck in between deciding to go for boar, juggler and simoom. My hunter m1 is 4/10 and ricochet m1 is 5/10. What do you recommend and why?

I would recommend the Chiropractor kit since Shaft is my main turret as of now. However, if you don't love Shaft that much, I'd say either Boar or Juggler. However, Dictator has the worst OD out of the medium hulls simply in terms of power. However, if you like to help your teammates, then there is nothing more satisfying than giving people 50% of their Overdrive.

I guess it's your choice. I can't force you to buy Shaft-Hunter, but if you are even a little bit of a sniper at heart, then don't pass it up.

Anyone know if Stormbringer is any good? Looking for someone with some experience with this combo.

Well I have experience with Vulcan + Dictator on one of my formerly-used accounts and I tried it out again the other week. I still see Dictator as an unstable hull but I do fairly good with it. As long as you turn around and shoot like this, you'll be good:

And even like that, Smokies still take my aim off very easily. So I'd pair Vulcan with Hunter or a heavy hull. You can use Dictator for Shaft if you'd like.

Hey yourself!

As my man Tide said up there, go with Chiropractor. He says to get it even if you are a little bit of a sniper - I say get it even if you're not :) I got Chiropractor by Tide's advice, and even though I didn't like Shaft before, I love it now. The key to Chiropractor is to not just sit and snipe. Hunter doesn't have the health reserves necessary for withstanding and neutralizing a pointed attack, especially by close-range weapons. The thing with a laser is that you'll be found pretty easily. The EMP OD helps with one attack, but next time a fully-drugged Freeze comes you're doomed. That's not to say that Shaft is the weakest at close-range. Shaft is right up there when you have the 20K Short-band Emitters alteration (I can fight Rail/Vikings up close even if they have DD and I don't) and can deal with a Wasp or Hornet equipped with Fire, or an unskilled Freeze using the same hulls. The problem begins when you get Hunters and Vikings with Freeze and the inevitable DA (and often DD and an RK). But still, if they're damaged, you have a chance. Recall that I use pretty much nothing but DDs (if you look at my profile, I'm a parkourist as well which accounts for all the DAs and RKs). If you drug, you can easily fight them off. But, back to not just sitting and sniping. You have to be what is termed as a mobile sniper. To be a mobile sniper, you basically move around the map, scoping in on targets. You never sit waiting for a target to come, with the exception of maybe one shot from behind thick sprites. You're going to have to learn how to quick-scope. You're going to have to learn when to use an arcade shot and when to quick-scope. But, when you figure that out (comes with a bit of experience, easy-peasy) you are going to destroy. Use it properly, and you have one of the most powerful combos in TO.

Another good thing with Chiropractor? Well, we all know that the kits are supposed to be good combos. That's why you don't see any Mammoth/Fire kits ;) Well, if you know anything about kits, you know what Centaur is. Hornet/Shaft M3. So, since you have Tornado, you get the M2 version of Centaur. The new ODs for Hornet, while just nerfed, are still good. Why? You just quick-scope everywhere, because no one has protections or DA. And wait till you get to First Lieutenant, then you'll gain access to another amazing combo: Hornet/Shaft/Light Capacitors.

To recap? You get two of the best combos in Tanki: Hunter (the best medium hull)/Shaft/Short-band Emitters, and Hornet/Shaft/Light Capacitors. To note, you don't need LCs for the second combo, it just makes it even better! As a bonus, you get the M2 version of Nomad, which is Hunter/Railgun. Get Chiropractor, and YOU. WILL. DESTROY.

Ram kit or Atlas?

What turret do you like?

Simoom is a good kit, but too many Grizzly modules. But Hornet-Thunder will do the trick.
