Should I save for micro upgrades tomorrow or buy something else now? Hammer? Rico? Firebird?

Hammer, Rico and Fire are great short range turrets, but they're more powerful with their Alts, namely Dragon's Breath, Minus-Field and Compact Tanks. Do you have any Alts? I don't think you'd be able to MU one of your M5s to full with 95k, but you'd put a good dent into it. 

So to keep in mind: whichever turret you're getting, it'd be stock (if you don't have Alts), and have little to no MU in it. Or you will put a good chunk of MU into one of your M5 items (i'd recommend Rail since you've got 2 M6 hulls already). The next confirmed sale will be in September so choose wisely

If u have compact fuel go for firebird.its solid and u can face mk7s with it easily

thanks, i got incendairy rounds from a container. did not know it was 1. so powerfull and 2. so expensive, guess i got lucky finally  im at the point now that i have mk 5 viking and mk 4- smoky. and i have 50k to spend, should i buy firebird mk 4 or should i micro upgrade smoky to mk 5 first?

id say defender is better .booster has been nerfed too much .lifeguard is great for golds .a fully upgraded lifeguard is like a free repair kit

ditch freeze protection if possible. Having protection against firebird is a must because i see so many people with compact fuel tanks so it could help. When a railgun hits you 700 damage instead of the normal 900 or whatever, it angers them. Go for fire and rail. I have thunder, rail and fire protections

well ive been unable to play tanki from yesterday due to net problems .instead of 72 mbps im only getting 20 -29 mbps and battles are removing me for inactivity before they even load .any solutions?

8 Mbps is enough for me. The problem isn't your internet speed. It's something else.

True, modules no longer protect against status effects like afterburn and frost, they only reduce direct damage from Firebird and Freeze. If you want to be protected from afterburn or freeze, you will need to buy a hull-augment.

Now I'm not going to buy anything in the upcoming sale but I'd like to know your opinion. Should I buy Mk7 Railgun or Mk7 Freeze? If I get Freeze, I'd like to get the Corrosive Mix augment. Is that any good?

Freeze plz. Badger module are not so common, but still can be sighted. Armies of Falcon modules are almost everywhere so expect not doing well without Hornet/Viking.

Corrosive Mix auggy..... only if you are willing to deal a bit more DPS without freezing, but at this moment, don't buy until dev is willing to buff it to 15%.\

I'm not really bothered about freezing tanks. I just want to kill them fast. I know that defeats the purpose of freeze but I'd like to carry on using it. I've invested so many crystals into it. With Shock Freeze, it's more likely that people will take the kill and leave you with nothing.

well actually no .corrosive mix is  very very weak .shock freeze has 200 percent freezing increase which overrides the 30 percent damage reduction .and once u freeze  someone its a guaranteed kill.corrosive mix is a waste of crystals

Ranged turrets will benefit the most. Shaft, Gauss and Magnum (one who is consistently accurate) in particular. They will be in the least danger of dying when on low HP so can soak the benefit of the Augment more.

 

For melee turrets, it would be something passive as they'd naturally get shot at before they reach their target, but there may be other alterations that you'd want to use instead of something that only works when you're damage, and being a melee range turret means you need to survive as long as possible to deal as much damage as possible before you inevitably die. Gauss is the safest option since its other augment is always behind a paywall so you'd get a straight buff to your Gauss. 

 

Gauss is iffy if you're using it close to the enemy or in a spot that will take you long to acquire the target. More time spent not damaging is more time they have to finish you off on whatever little HP you have. However with Hornet it will be deadly in siege if you become low on HP beforehand. Some enemies survive with a sliver of HP because they were far enough to not be in the fatal zone of the splash damage radius, but with some more damage from Adrenaline, those players should also be dead. 

 

Your Gauss' average damage should one-shoit most unprotected medium hulls you see. If you are at half health then assuming you get +15% damage, your Mk6 6/10 Gauss would turn into an Mk7 17/20 Gauss damage-wise. Not too bad. Extra damage will also help against enemies with some protection against you. I say go for it if you will have enough crystals to spare to spend on other stuff, like the micro-upgrades tomorrow. I will continue to use other augments for my turrets until Adrenaline gets put on a 50% sale.
