New abilities via modules

Hi. This may be declined quickly, but I wanna share my thoughts.

 

New and specialised modules -|- Now we all know that a lot of protection modules are mostly unnoticable and sometimes not worth it. But what if they made a HUGE difference? Like, a difference as big as what turret you use? Here are some suggestions for new modules:

 

Power/Weight/Speed modules - This is basic. Have a pretty expensive module that increases one of these stats by, like, 10-50. This would be good to specialize certain players' playstyle. Maybe a gold digger would use Dictator but needs that extra 10 power to ram through that Titan? This is what he needs! (That and a Nitro...) And why weight, you ask? Well there might be a "toggle" option for modules to make it positive or negative. Maybe you're in an STG game where the admin wants you to have -10 rail protection, then you have it! And -10-50 weight is INSANE in ZeroG with hammer/Wasp. Or maybe you're that one shaft/mammoth flag defense and you keep the post with a weight module.

 

"Super" modules - Basic, again. These modules would give more protection than normal, but would have one smaller weakness to another turret. Like "Barbossa" that gives +15 protection to Hammer but -5 to Shaft. Or "Atronach 1" which gives +15 to Freeze and -5 to Fire.

 

Effect modules - These are still basic... Basically (Heh) they make the after-effect of freeze and fire less effective. Maybe they would make you freeze slower, or maybe they would make the "Melt" effect only go to "75%.

 

"Yin yang" modules - BASICALLY these would make things go into effect judged by what turret you have. An axample is that you are using Smoky and you have a Yang module installed. You then do 125% damage with your Smoky, but also take 125% damage from the Smoky. Another example is the opposite; you're using Shaft and you have the Yin module on. You then take 75% damage from Shaft, but also do 75% damage with Shaft.

 

"Bypass Module"  The bypass module would make all other modules on other tanks that affect you directly do nothing! Downside it you straight-up take more damage from all turrets...

 

"Addict" module - It makes all drugs more effective! The downside is that you would be less effective without drugs... Let's say that you have Addict installed and you use Armour Plates supplies... You now have 25% more armour than you would normally have with Armour Plates! But then it wears off then you go back to before you had drugged.... 25% less armour than you would normally have without drugs.

Your proposals would partly sound like alteration for hulls, but the charm of your idea is that you can equip the module onto every hull you like.
And I guess who of the dev team starts to sweat now, as exactly this positive thing turns the game into a balance nightmare xD

 

Still it's a cool idea, to have a module that affects your tank, and not single pieces of equipment of it.

As some affect the balance less then others, there is a point in it.

Cool idea. I was going to say the same thing as Wasp did; it sounds as if an alteration for hulls. It's an interesting idea but may disturb game balance.

My suggestions for balancing hornetOD & adding tags for groups & adding a Lobby for MM get lost in the wind -  but THIS gets adpoted???

Not only your suggestions, but my ideas to earn stars through a mission system rather than through battles, balancing Gauss, making ODs give both personal abilities to the user and supporting buffs for the team, and allowing players to choose map size in MM also have all been rejected. 

 

But some moronic post in their YT comments section immediately gets added into the game.

XD yea it just doesnt make sense

I think you too must have left the "talk with the dev" group or you might know who suggested this...

And don't worry, I already shot myself with my Gauss when I saw what crap it turned out to be.
