Please provide the ability to merge multiple TO player accounts into one. Said another way - combine a real person's alt accounts into a main account.

The purpose is to absorb the earned garage of one account into another. Including all equipment, paints, and crystals.

The account with the higher XP and Rank would remain, no change would be made to the rank or XP of the target account. The lower XP/rank account would be deleted.

Proof of ownership of both accounts is required via Tanki's existing account security process.

This can be easily abused. Multiple accounts means multiple daily missions, multiple mission chain bonuses, multiple contest rewards, multiple rank-up rewards, etc. Merging accounts would greatly increase the bonuses you got so far, so you would be at a massive advantage compared to just having one account. This would destroy the game's economy.

I got three accounts with m2s. If I was given the ability to merge accounts, I would have an OP account for free. Which I feel is too Damn easy.

But then again, why merge accounts for money when you can just use that money to buy the same stuff on your main acc?

How about merging accounts will cost 1,000 dollars or more depending on the number of accounts each time :P

How would this destroy the game's economy? If I worked to earn items under separate accounts, what is the impact of making those items available in a merged account?

 

I hear the argument about accumulated mission rewards on multiple accounts, but one good 50% sale makes that point moot IMO. Those earned crystals are a wash in a good sale.

 

I'm also not following how this could be abused. Once accounts are merged, the old accounts are closed. It's a one and done deal.

 

Here is my situation - why I ask for this feature. I have four alts - all at low M2 ranks with a variety of equipment. I'll never play them again. If they were merged, I might take the combined account to M3 and beyond. I know that most of the M2 equipment is useless, but the paints and modules would be nice to consolidate.

I agree with you, this would be a problem. So... Like so many other features, limit account merge to ranks farther into the game. M1 or higher, perhaps.

 

 

To Maf's point, I'd be okay with paying real money for this feature, just not an extremely high amount. That is, it can't cost more than a shop kit for obvious reasons. Obvious #1 - the consolidation option needs to be more affordable than simply purchasing the equipment on the target account. Obvious #2 - players earned that equipment on their alts - Tanki simply can't make players pay twice for the same thing. At best this needs to be a modest convenience fee. This fee almost has to scale upward based on source account rank.

 

This begs he question of how much real money an account is worth, which I very much doubt game designers want to wrestle with figuring out. Also - Talk of monetizing accounts borders on a T&C violation - I get that. Please understand that my goal with this idea is to give players another option vs leaving the game. Consolidating alt accounts might keep folks around, but not if Tanki makes it a money grab.

That said, I do not expect this to be implemented - it benefits players but does not add to the game.

That said, I do not expect this to be implemented - it benefits players but does not add to the game.

Why not switch it around so that you can skip ranks, but you don't get any of the rewards for the ranks you skipped, nor do you get anything else to your main.

Okay, you are free to post your own thread, stating the above as a separate idea. It's just not what I am asking for with this thread.

Was rejected by the Dev's a long time ago.

It could also backfire, if players delete their accounts and want to join back a month later. and it would be much tougher, if your account gets hacked and deleted right away.

Just read this on the Acount Delete thread. I think the same potential abuse could happen with my idea. It would be awful if a hacker got a hold of my account and merged my goodies with his own.
