Declined a rent option for m3s

Why not have an option to rent m3s turrets and hulls to see whether we like it or not? It's the same thing we do with alterations, and they cost a lot to purchase.

Renting alterations is a different usecase then renting (M3) turrets (or turrets overall). While you can easily get an idea of a turrets gameplay by observing other players or enemies, and can simply create a new account to run a one week testrun for "how you like it" for free, there is no way to easily do this with an M2 alteration.

 

 

Don't get me wrong, I am on your side with this idea ;). But it was suggested before a lot of times in the last years. Developers decided to add this feature in the form of Test Drives and personal discounts.

Maybe their opinion changed in those times, but in the same moment when I write "maybe their opinion changed", I can be for sure that they thought about exactly your proposal already when they decided to rent out alterations for crystals.

 

It would have been pretty easy to roll out the "rent an alteration" code to other equipment as well. But it was not done. They for sure have their reasons.
