Goodbye teamwork...I guess? Reverting that mechanic after so long it has been implemented may not sit well. They may weaken it or alter it but I doubt they'd take it off.

nerf it to 30% OD replenishment?

It's a movable shield that damages/destroys the original source - on top of the all supplies from original OD.

Not sure why you need an explanation as to why that is OP.

Titan dome protects at 85% but is not moveable and does ZERO damage to enemies.

I can imagine a hornet Rail trying to pick off the dictator as it moves in for the flag - and - the hornet Rail kills itself.  O-P.  Or Wasp Gauss.  or any other turret defending the flag.

These kind of ODs ruin the game - making it ALL about the OD.  Don't have OD handy?  Might as well hide until it's recharged... then crawl out from under that rock, kill a bunch of tanks and hide again.   B-O-R-I-N-G.

And what guarantee do you have Hunter would deactivate it?  We all know it's performance on the other ODs...

Aside from all that people would just learn to not shoot at it. Reflecting damage is a bad concept, we don't need more self-serving overdrives with dubious "team" utility. If that was what the devs wanted Wasp wouldn't have it's bomb and Viking wouldn't have it's berserk mode.

As for what it should have... Well, it's large and in charge. I think it should do something like the Juggernaut's overdrive and yeet people out of it's way, but only when it runs into them.

BORING, and very unoriginal.

Thank you for the humour. It was much appreciated by me.

It does border on Juggernaut's Overdrive so the uniqueness of Juggernaut's Overdrive is now decreased. It'd be funny for a Juggernaut to yeet a Titan away and instantly focus on other enemies, only to be yeeted right back 6 seconds later.

Aside from all that people would just learn to not shoot at it.

People still haven't learned not to waste their ammo on a Mammoth that clearly used their Overdrive 1 second ago, right in front of their face. It is Ricochet and Firebird that Isee doing this the most.

I have tested to see which turret with Vikings OD and without a second damage boost could take down a an unprotected titan that's in its dome. All 14 turrets failed. So the myth that Viking can just "brute force" through titans dome is officially DEBUNKED.

My Titan - inside an active dome - was taken down by a Viking on OD so.... NOT debunked.

The Viking probably had all the damage boosts on, which would be like the only way for a turret with Viking OD to singlehandedly make a titan of the same modification that's in its dome go from full health to death in just 7 seconds.

It can be done with anything if you're quick enough to shoot them just as they use the dome and they're at low health. Railgun and Thunder are best at this, but Shaft in sniping mode or a full power Gauss shot work as well.

And as a Titan main, please nerf the dome thanks.

Well I guess that counts, but the titan could just use repair kit.

And I agree that the dome needs a nerf, and there's like 4 ways to nerf it:

1) nerf the damage reduction down to about 70%.

2) nerf the healing down to about 50HPS.

3) nerf the duration down to about 15 seconds.

4) increase the recharge time up to about 3 minutes and 40 seconds.

I'd rather it just reduce damage and not heal. The healing makes it too good for offense because it's basically a free spawncamp for the user and his team. If it were just a damage reduction it would not only make it a more defensive utility, but a last line of defense; Titan's forté.

Titan, in team battles, isn't the only hull inside of the dome. There can be medium hulls and even light hulls in there.

From experience, I've been killed inside of a dome by an Overdriven Viking many times. Firebird, Freeze and Isida weren't able to kill me, but everything else did, especially Hammer, Ricochet, Twins, Railgun, and Uranium Strikers.

Viking's Overdrive is really only countered by Hunter and Titan's Overdrives, in a professional fight that is.

My Titan is m3 18/20, had DA on with 80%-90% health.  Viking had DD and I think it was Rail - don't think I had Rail module at the time.

I did use RK - BUT - since I was taking continuous damage it only partially worked.

IMO they should lower protection to 75% and nerf healing down a bit.  I'd really like to keep healing - even if not at high rate - as it helps the Titan survive longer in DMs.

Nerfing duration to 15 seconds would be very harsh - it is immobile after all.  How long does Hornet get to keep punching holes in targets?

I used an m2 6/10 thunder on one account and an m1 3/10 titan on another, activated titan OD first, then on the thunder I aimed for the titan and then activated Vikings OD and kept shooting til it wore off. The titan survived that onslaught, however not without half of its health gone.

Well only three things can explain it:

1) the railgun had all its damage boosts on and round destabilization alt.

2) there was another Viking with OD targeting you.

3) the railgun was hacking.

Did you have protection against Thunder equipped? Protection modules are a huge factor in your survival inside the dome against an Overdrive Viking. Because that is cutting down the total damage received by whatever % you have equipped.

I've healed Titans and Mammoths through entire Viking Overdrives (with Support Nanobots) because the Titan or Mammoth had both 50% protection against the turret and double armour activated.

Nope, no protection equipped, and no double armor equipped.

You didn't specify if the Thunder had double damage enabled at the time.

Railgun and Hammer seem like the best for taking on one target in the dome.

I see.

Well, it's unlikely (in my experiences), that a Viking would use its Overdrive without double damage. That double damage makes a difference.

Only makes a difference against unprotected enemies that are in the dome. The titan could equip double armor, and it'll cancel out Vikings Double Damage.

It cancels out the double damage gained by the Viking's Overdrive. But the double damage being enabled as a supply would give +50% more damage per shot, which will add up.

Titans dome would still reduce that damage by 35%.

Imagine if dictator got hornets current OD, hornet got hunters current OD, Hunter got dictators current OD and mammoth and titan swapped their current ODs with each other.

· Mammoths would outnumber titans.

· Dictator would be OP meaning harder to deal with what with the extra health and stability.

· Hunter would be kind of boring.

· Hornet would be fast.
