Imagine if dictator got hornets current OD, hornet got hunters current OD, Hunter got dictators current OD and mammoth and titan swapped their current ODs with each other.

· Mammoths would outnumber titans.

· Dictator would be OP meaning harder to deal with what with the extra health and stability.

· Hunter would be kind of boring.

· Hornet would be fast.

Not sure I understand...

Faster acceleration, faster top speed, and faster turn speed. I did forget to mention the it would be much less stable and have much less health.

How would Hunters OD change any of the movement parameters for Hornet?

Currently does not do this for Hunter...

Or you just mean if the OD was equipped on a light hull it could close the distance faster to activate?

Even if swapping the overdrives increases Mammoth's popularity it plays differently on a fundamental level than Titan. At the very least it wouldn't end up in your base.

Titan, on the other hand, could utilize certain turrets even more with Mammoth's overdrive. Titan Twins would become a battering ram, Titan with Thunder would no longer worry about enemies getting in close, etc. Titan is made for pushing and defiant last stands at close range. Mammoth is made for target practice.

But still, it would only be 5 second of immortality, while the dome is just as effective at surviving plus it lasts 20 seconds.

Just finished playing a rugby game where basically all the opposing team did was use OD's to protect their goal lol. Literally whenever my team was going to score, they just glide up and press a button to stop it.  Mostly Hunter and Wasp.

Fun!

So they played the game? They exist to be used to the player's advantage. It sounds to me like you had bad team composition or you weren't trying hard enough to break through. It sounds even more to me like you were focusing entirely on their defenses and they could've easily sneaked a Wasp to your goal and won the game through attrition by having the score 1-0.

Not a fan of them IMO. They were fun when they came out, but since the hype has died all what they did is confine hulls to very specific roles. Example: I often like to be a scout/stealth assassin role with Wasp/Freeze. Guess what, my overdrive doesn't even help with what I'm doing most of the time except when I'm trying to cap a flag. Now if I want to play the aforementioned role, I need to reinvest my crystals into Hornet to get an overdrive that suits my purposes. (I don't even like Hornet) Couple that with my dwindling interest with the game and this hasn't helped a bit.

Also they need to be more punishing to the user because they're kinda noobish in their current state.

· Viking can't shoot for a few seconds after overdrive wears off.

· Hunter has a delay of one second before being able to use its OD.

· Titan has to stay in or near the dome to utilize its defense and healing, although it can exploit this just by going to a camping spot.

· Hornet easily gets knocked around and killed, but maybe it could use something that's interesting to nerf it a bit.

· Mammoth lasts for only 5 seconds, is loud as Hell, and wasp can simply deactivate it and stun it I think.

· Dictator could probably overheat but only a few small ticks.

· Wasps bomb needs to go back to 5 seconds for m4 before exploding and 10 seconds for m0, and also the bomb should kill the wasp if it gets too close.

Just putting this out there:

It seems equal to the turret's reload speed. Twins and Ricochet shoot less than a second after their Overdrive is finished. Firebird, Freeze and Isida instantly get to deal damage with their regular fire after the Overdrive is finished. Thunder, Magnum and Striker take the same time as their respective reloads to shoot again.

· Hornet easily gets knocked around and killed, but maybe it could use something that's interesting to nerf it a bit.

It slides like Viking. I know it slides badly with impact force, so I be stealthy with it. Bonus points if you're plying in silence.

Hornet's Overdrive has the power to destroy defenses while it stays out of sight. I've been wondering what was the result that happened while testing that made them put Hornet's Overdrive to recharge quickly, while also gaining charge from kills and actions during that time (about 3 seconds after activation, to be more specific).

· Mammoth lasts for only 5 seconds, is loud as Hell, and wasp can simply deactivate it and stun it I think.

It doesn't stun it. It just deactivated the Overdrive. The Mammoth drives as normal when the Overdrive is deactivated by the bomb.

· Dictator could probably overheat but only a few small ticks.

Tbh, there are already too many things that inflict afterburn damage other than Firebird, and having an Overdrive do it is just oversaturation at this point. Basically making Firebird protection more of a must than a choice.

The speed gap between M0 and M4 isn't significant enough to warrant its timer being 10 seconds at M0. That  wayyyyyy too much time to give enemies a chance to get out. I'd expect to see bomb kills plummet.

I guess 7 seconds should suffice for m0 then.

The old OD was nice to give your tank a quick burst of speed, extra armor, and extra power for your shot.. for about 30 seconds.. It was fair to EVERYONE, we all got the same thing at some point in the game.

The new OD is NOT EQUITABLE  and most require LITTLE to NO skill to operate.. just press a key and drop a nuke, make a dome of near invincibility or ZAP someone to freeze them for a few seconds. There IS NO DEFENSE for those OD's.

ANYONE can press Shift and drop a bomb and destroy everything in an area...or freeze someone and destroy them or make a getaway. NO SKILL required. Many of us have worked hard to achieve ranks, and accumulate tanks, turrets, accessories, etc. Along comes a lower rank Wasp and BOOM.. all the tanks are destroyed EXCEPT the Wasp and its teammates.

Many of us played Tanki for hours and hours on end.. but this new game causes a lot of inequity...and the Match System.. can still put a player in a game where the other side has a 2, 3 or 4 point lead...is THAT FAIR??

We've also invested a lot of MONEY into a game that seems to be geared to younger players..but it's the ADULTS who spend the $$.

Please Reconsider reverting the OverDrive to the old way..making it fair to all players.

The old ODs were garbage. First team to spawn kill the other wins because they get more ODs out of it. Plus it was boring, required way less skill, offered no strategy except maybe whoever activated it last usually won. On top of that they were just lame.

Exactly, the overdrives have taken the skill AND what fun was left in the game and totally ruined it....

And what exactly made the old ODs "skillful"?

I don't see any mention of "Old" ODs in GWKKs post.  "... the overdrives..."

The "Old" ODs were bad too.  Game has been going down-hill since ANY of the ODs were introduced.

All ODs accomplished was making unbalanced battles even more unbalanced - since actions such as kills & Caps help recharge the ODs.
