He did mentioned because he got caught.  I believe he was either blocked by a bigger hull, or being shot (maybe flipped) while running away.

Yes. Run into base, drop bomb grab flag, get swarmed by freezes or heavy hulls. Idk ill keep working on it. Hornet removing protection is amazing...allows some nice kills

I was gone for a day and two and so many updates hard to keep up, didn't like the damage increase by drones

 

played battles and I like overdrive update

I'd say Wasp is built for CTF; get in, get out. Drop a bomb on the way out and you've got some really good coverage behind. Wasp can cover so much space in 3 seconds

Wasp is built for camping with Rail.

STOP THE MADNESS! -  In "World War Two" Tank Battles they did not have all this strange weird crap that goes on in Tanki Online......It is becoming a JOKE figuring out what "Strange Weird Light Show" really means when trying to fight a battle. Tanki Online has now become a "LIGHT SHOW" and WEIRD TOTAL MESS when it comes to "just having a Tank Battle".... PLEASE dial back all this Fireworks Crap and let's get back to the GAME I LOVE....Tank Games on TANKI ONLINE...Otherwise it's just going to become a JOKE.

So far my feelings about the new overdrives have not been good. Vikings is so OP so the most used hull now will be used more. Hunter's is ok, but its a slowish hull that needs to get close to the enemy. Titan's dome is causing people to huddle around the heavy hulls and I'm seeing mamoths sprinting into the enemy base. I have to play around the overdrives more than my opponent's play. I think I've got the bead on an enemy thunder? JK hes gonna pop OD and one shot me. Maybe things will change but this is definitely not enjoyable for me

 

Other updates didnt really change the game...these do.

I timed each Overdrive to see how long they would take to accumulate to 100% without any interference. Some of the times had some seconds that weren't divisible by 5 or 10 so I rounded them up or down respectively by 5 to match what would be more accurate. These are the recordings (from shortest to longest):

 

Hunter: 1 m 50 seconds. (110 seconds)

 

Hornet: 1 m 50 seconds. (110 seconds)

 

Wasp:  2 m  5 seconds. (125 seconds)

 

Mammoth: 2 m  5 seconds. (125 seconds)

 

Dictator: 2 m  25 seconds. (145 seconds)

 

Titan: 2 m  50 seconds. (170 seconds)

 

Viking: 3 m  20 seconds. (200 seconds)

 

 

 

So if there are any silent changes, we can use these as official references to the original release.

How did you get your figures... by time alone, or by time-plus-firing?

Just wondering because the old overdrives seemed to rack up faster the more you fire, which explains why I used to see so many Twins users firing non-stop at empty space to rack up quicker.

 

I wonder if the new overdrives are purely on a timer or if it speeds up the more you fire.

The recharge rate speeds up like before.

 

As mentioned on wiki, "You can speed up the charging by earning battle points from killing enemies, healing your teammates with Isida, capturing flags and points."

Well, I was firing my Magnum while driving around the map to pass time as it was rather boring to do what I did. 

 

I didn't notice any significant jumps while I was shooting it.

Yes, Magnum and Viking makes a significant power-boost by shooting further, needs to be sorted to a good standard.

 

Also, Mammoth and golds, I HATE IT!

When a GoldBox drops (during this event), it has the explosion effect to kill all tanks, but with Titan AND Mammoth overdrives, they're invincible to the explosion.

That was not what I meant by "significant jumps".

 

What I noticed for Magnum is that the velocity at which your shots would be at when you activate Viking's Overdrive is the same velocity as your last shot. 100% velocity on you last shot, 100% velocity on each shot from Viking's Overdrive.

 

I feel you about the Mammoth thing. I'm not ashamed to say that I've been doing it. I've been doing it since Mammoth is what I was and am using with my Vulcan on my lower account so it was a pleasant surprise when I saw that Mammoth didn't die or even received any knockback from the meteorite. I saw players whom Vikings and Hunters in many of their games and then they suddenly change to Mammoth in their next regardless of what turret they're using. Kindsad to be honest.

And yes, while Mammoth's Overdrive doesn't become disabled by Hunter's Overdrive, it does stun them. The stun only lasts for 40% of the Overdrive's duration so it's not too big of a deal for Mammoths.

It's not the act of just firing that affects the charge-rate.  It's scoring.  Firing AND killing. Capping a Flag or CP.

 

IMO the ODs charge too fast.  They are hardly even uncommon on the battle-field now. At every moment there seems to be some tanker with OD.  It's no longer "special" - it's the norm.

 

Way too much like Super-Mario-Kart.  DMs are a joke (and the stupid system keeps giving me those for missions).

 

These new ODs might be the final thing that drives me from Match-Maker for good.

Automated gunpowder loading mechanism alt can make magnum shoot farther faster. Edited by DieselPlatinum

Yes, the recharge rate boost up only when scoring.  Maybe the Twins users Nicola_M mentioned can get scores from self damage :ph34r: :ph34r: :blink: ?

 

Besides a faster recharge rate of the individual ODs, that "Nuclear Energy" supply box also contributes to the current chaotic situation.  I feel that drop rate of that box has also been increased after the new ODs update.

 

And for DMs, even noobs can grab some kills with the new OD :huh: :huh: There were usually players with 0 kill/ double digit deaths at the end of DMs, but people could at least make 3-4 kills now. It seems that the new OD system has made the game more enjoyable for noobs at the expense of skillful and experienced players. <_< <_<

I didn't notice a decrease in the time it takes to drop again. It should take about 104 seconds for another one to "drop". I don't know if "drop" means appear in the sky descending or land on the floor.

So I've noticed that which Vikings OD my m3 5/20 thunder does around 1400 to 1600 points of damage per shot on unprotected enemies without using Double Damage.

 

And with Double Damage on the same enemies it'll deal as much as 2800 to 3200 points of damage per shot.

 

Anyone else noticed that? And is this just a bug, or is it how it was intended?

It increases damage and firing rate. That is how it was intended.

Legit, people are only going Wasp, Viking, and Mammoth with an occasional different hull ever few matches and has really thrown off balance in the game, along with too many people having M1 and M2 in low level matches (Recruit to Sargent Major) giving an unfair lead over others.

 

My question now is: Who in the &*($# thought all of these changes would be a good idea!? Come on devs, you are starting to make the people who designed the Krait MKII at Faulcon DeLacy look intelligent!

Can I just point out that Mammoth is OP when catching a gold box? Legit, people are only going Wasp, Viking, and Mammoth with an occasional different hull ever few matches and has really thrown off balance in the game, along with too many people having M1 and M2 in low level matches (Recruit to Sargent Major) giving an unfair lead over others.

Just wait until the celebrations are over. You will see a lot more medium hulls in battle then. 

 

Times like these are great times for experienced players to make new accounts to get a headstart. Reason being life down in those ranks as a non-buyer or inexperienced (new player) is rough.

What is wrong with the Krait MKII compared to the Python or other crafts?? I don't play the game so I need some sort of explanation.

 

Based on the context of what you said above, it seems as if it's faulty?
