I've also been noticing this specific case happening way too frequently now:

Wasps (who don't rotate their turrets would drive up to you, bump into you, drop the bomb, then drive backwards all the way into hitting a building while not even stopping and kill you. I'm not going to lie, it's quite sad seeing this happen so often; and they seem to be low tier Wasps when they're playing in M2/3 battles. It just looks so...pathetic...like, they don't even shoot you whilst reversing. They just bump into a wall and stay stuck there without catching themselves until a few seconds after I die.

I met this kind of Wasps too.

Maybe they were too busy running away to avoid being killed before the explosion.  And they knew you would die anyway when the bomb went off, so they stop shooting.

The best part is when you're a juggernaut and literally every single wasp in the map attempts to come and bomb you without even trying to shoot or realize there are walls nearby you can use to shield yourself... I once "dodged" 3 bombs in a row, it reloads so fast.

They didn't even start shooting me in the first place. They usually do it when my back is turned to them or they are about 250 degrees clockwise from where I'm facing.

It seems pretty brainless at this point.

There are Wasps out there that I've encountered that know when and where to place the bombs for maximum efficiency and then you have these Wasps that seem to have bombs to waste.

When I'm playing with Vulcan on my lower account, it's always predictable when the Wasps are going to drop their bomb because they put on speed boost with I and 3 of my teammates simultaneously looking at them instead of putting on double armour. I mow them down before they could reach far and they end up dropping their bomb prematurely and no one is killed. They're so desperate to get those mobs in.

I had an instance where three Wasps were coming at full speed towards my me and I mowed them all down with the help of 2 teammates but one was unfortunately caught in the blast of one of the bombs.

And no, they don't charge faster than Hornet or Hunter's Overdrive. I made sure to time it. I guess Wasp is the meta now in M0-M2 tiers.

I have to take the good with the bad on this. One the good side, they give my Vulcan many kills. On the other hand, their bombs are ever-prevalent and render my Mammoth's Overdrive risky to use when there is an abundance of them on the enemy team.

So those people are playing Wasp's Bomb Online instead of Tanki Online

They are playing Wasps Bomb Online in Tanki Online

TBH, I think a more fitting name is "Bombing Simulator".

Let's see if we can document this casually.

I remember getting 10% of my Overdrive charge for obtaining a kill. Then, last week, I saw that it was 8% for a few days. Then this morning, I noticed that it's back to 10% again. So if you notice some changes in the distribution of % charge, you can post it here.

Tested it on the Test Server:

The best way to ustilise your Viking's Overdrive as a Remote Rocket Explosives Striker, you must hold down the spacebar. If you continuously tap spacebar, it will explode all of your rockets in your face and you will self-destruct.

I don't see why they couldn't convert this to Stock Striker because with a reload as fast as that with Viking's Overdrive, the pro of the alteration is useless while the others get to keep their pro.

What is the advantage of this alt?

What is the advantage of this alt?

You can detonate the missile at any time you want if if the second missile is still reloading. You can make it so that you don't have to hit them directly; you can utilise its splash damage.

Here is a video of it being used cleverly:

There is a (player-borne) disadvantage of using this with Viking's Overdrive which is repeatedly tapping spacebar. When you do that, your rockets would explode in your face and kill you. You must hold down spacebar to utilise it with Viking's Overdrive. You don't have to worry about repeatedly tapping spacebar with Stock Striker since it would act the same was as holding it down.

It may take some time to master as I seem to detonate it quite before it hits the enemy. You have to have a good bit of experience to master it.

Edit: Having this alteration would actually make me enjoy playing in Cologne so often.

I tested a claim by a forumer and he/she is correct: Viking's Overdrive does not convert Autocannon Smoky to a Stock Smoky. It still deals the decreased damage for a non-critical shot.

Next up is to test Incendiary Band's potential effectiveness with Viking's Overdrive.

I remember saying that somewhere when discussions about overdrives were happening

Have you been varying hulls while testing this? It's possible different hulls have a different charge rate on kill.

I was thinking of doing this but I didn't have the time. I had noticed it at 8% on my WO4 account so I went on my Commander account to see if it was the same and it was.

Edit: The hulls I used were Mammoth and Hornet on those two accounts respectively.

On a low rank account last night I got caught into hunters EMP range, and it felt like it lasted longer than 2-3 seconds, maybe 4-5 or even 6 seconds.

How come when I use it feels like 1-2 seconds?   (IF it actually works...)

Idk.

I also used hunter and railgun last night in rugby on the same low ranked account, I seemed to do just fine there.

Wasp bombs were everywhere as well.

It probably feels longer for the player being stunned, because his momentum has been interrupted, and I assume most players are fairly impatient when this happens, especially in a difficult situation.

When you're the Hunter user, there's a chance you're usually a bit too optimistic about what you're capable of, so you normally end up feeling disappointed because you didn't achieve what you had expected to achieve.

That was my take on this, of course it's only my opinion which means I could be wrong.

Without the self-damage Wasp-bombs are running amok.

Since they can take out anywhere from 1-5 players in one instant it seems silly they can't damage themselves.  Explain that one to Thunder-users...

I'm not going to lie. It just looks so pathetic when I see a Wasp coming towards me without shooting me and just drop their bomb while I'm driving away. Many Wasps waste their bomb like this and many other usually do this for 1 or 2 kills.

As a Mammoth, I keep seeing all these damn Wasps just coming up to me and dropping their bomb. I know that they wouldn't have done that if I were a light/medium hull. They act as if they have bombs to waste but that has been rectified after the balance change.

I was in a Serpuhov DM this morning and saw 10 Wasps. In the first 12 seconds after spawning, I achieved 6 kills with Vulcan because most of them are clueless and run towards me. Don't get me wrong, I see a good set of skilled Wasp players who know how to use their turret and their Wasp's bomb for maximum efficiency but the Wasps who brainlessly drop their bombs outnumber them by a lot.

My favourite tactic with Wasps at the moment is to ram them from the front (they don't expect that) and stop them from moving.

I think they wrongly assume I can't shoot them point-blank in case of self-damage.
