To be fair, wasps overdrive doesnt have time active. It just drops the bomb, which may do nothing. Viking pops overdrive and kills 2-4 ppl. Same with mammoth. Wasps bomb doesnt have the raw power that the others have

And Mammoth - with only 5 seconds (and no radius) would have to be very lucky to get more than 1 tank.  I mean - how can you not see it coming?

Fair, but a viking might get 4 kills when it pops its overdrive, while with wasp I am thrilled to get 2, with 0-1 being more typical. Mammoth is slow, yes, but the overdrive does give it a speed boost so it can outrun a heavy hull and when charging into a heavily populated base, can wreck everyone

If you see a Mammoth coming at you with speed boost and it's not stopping (and as an added bonus, they're not moving their turret or shooting you at all), then they're coming towards you to use their Overdrive. It's predictable if you can notice it. 

 

I had to (and still have to) go behind two of my teammates when I'm planning on using it. Because it masks my intentions of going in there and using the Overdrive on them. You can only go forward or backward when using that Overdrive. Because of the increased speed, it would take longer to decelerate and accelerate in the opposite direction, so there i no room for error in direction. 

 

And it's kind of sad but when I'm playing Hornet, I would purposefully taunt the Mammoth by coming next to it and shooting in hope that they use their Overdrive. That's effectively their Overdrive wasted there since they don't get % charge for actions during those 5 seconds. In many maps, you can only get 1 or two enemies at a time. In Rugby, they'd need to get up close to the point before activating it, and by that time, the many Railguns, Twins and Smokies will lay waste to them. And even if they do use it early or use it at all, you have Wasp and Hunter there to stop it in its tracks. 

 

It was overnerfed and I'm expecting a slight buff in the next balance change...that I'm predicting will happen either next week Thursday or the Thursday after that. 

 

Wasps bomb doesnt have the raw power that the others have

I just wonder why so many are using it in the lower ranks and even coming towards the mid-ranks. It just looks so brainless when they're playing it and dropping the bombs. I can't tell if they're mults, are on mobile, or just don't put in the effort to try.

I dont play an alt acct so I cant be sure, but I have an idea. On low ranks, light hulls are the best because everything is slower so you need speed to get into the action. Hornet's overdrive allows you to ignore armor and protection...what protection? The 15% you have against me? You arent drugging either mostly....so that leaves Wasp with a light hull that has the ability to kill noobs who have no idea what theyre doing

I see Wasp's Overdrive as more of a deterrence than for getting kills. If you drop a bomb on an area important to the other team, ti will cause them to scramble or use what Overdrive they have to combat it. It's good to get kills with it since that gives you 10% charge for each kill but you can also kill the defenders trying to stop you when you take the flag. And I'm sure that the % charge given for doing actions (besides kills) are more for Dictator and Wasp than the other hulls. You can get 50% charge just for capturing a flag. When there are two or more Wasps, it poses a problem. Just like 2 Hunters, 2 Vikings and 2 Hornets pose a problem to other teams.

Hell, I don't even have to see it to know that it's nearby, it's so loud that I can instantly figure out where it's coming from without even looking.

The more I think of it, the nerfs on Mammoth's OD really were overdone.

 

Back when they first announced the changes, I thought it was a buff because I assumed it would recharge a lot faster, but I was wrong. It takes around 2 minutes and 20 seconds, which doesn't feel like much of an improvement from the days where that wait time could give you 10 seconds of overdrive..

 

If Mammoth can't get +charge for capping flag in Assault with OD activated I see no reason why Wasp should get +charge when they kill 3 tanks with 1 bomb.  Hardly seems fair...

I think they needed to buff Wasp's overdrive anyway, which was likely their excuse for making those kills charge the OD.

Apparently there's a lot of people that think that wasps bomb is weak. 

Every stinkin battle there are multiple wasps dropping bombs - feels like 1 every minute.

Hello , i just want to send a message for the tanki developers and the one whos resposable of applying the stupid ideas the game.. and i want to talk about especially about the hunter overdrive..

we are all know that hunter hull was a bad hull..im an old player in this game and ive seen how people they dont like this hull cause it was kind of slow and weak..but now after overdrive the stupid of tanki developers they thought to make an unstoppable OP overdrive so people could buy it and spend money on kits and to upgrade it as well.

they game is totally ruined by this tank all people starts to use hunter for its overdrive which is really to needs to rebalance it.. its freeze everybody, make u lose all supplies, make u lose the flag or ball and it stops the other tanks over drive like wasp bomb and titan shield also it has a very long range...

it was better to keep all hulls at same overdrive more fair at least.

The overdrives are pretty much balanced in my opinion, like a Railgun Hornet camper with a Double Damage can be quite annoying having the overdrive that lets him overcome your Double Armour and 50% Protection, Mammoths won't let you take the golds, Viking would destroy each and every tank capturing a single point, but each and every overdrive is linked to another, like Hornet's overdrive continues under Hunter and Titan's OD, but a Mammoth can overcome a Hornet and Wasp OD, Viking's OD is quite powerful for some situations but cannot overcome ODs of hulls like Mammoth and Titan. Every hull has an advantage over other. Moreover, hunter is a slow hull, you'll need good tactics to avoid it's OD.

I've been noticing this for 2 weeks now. I wanted to shrug it off but I can't

 

I noticed that when I'm playing Dictator, I'm often placed on a team with other Dictators. So if there are 4 Dictators in a battle, 3 would be on one team and 1 would be on the other. I've had a battle where my team consisted of 6 Dictators and the enemy had 2. I'm wondering if the number of Dictators within the 16 players being matched in team battles is also a primary criteria. 

 

It really sucks when I want to give my teammates Overdrives but the only teammates in sight are Dictators.

You can still team with other dictators and activate overdrive right as your supplies are about to end to get highly extended durations.

I know, which is great because we can give each other supplies constantly but it really takes away an important part of what makes me feel good playing Dictator (giving Overdrive charge).

Crazy idea here; What if they switched Titan and Mammoth's overdrives?

 

Stat-wise Titan has higher speed, or in other words is more offensive. Naturally, it gets a panic bubble for camping. What?

 

Mammoth is more often used for camping and defending, which would require a lot of sitting in place and not moving around much. So why does it have a ramming overdrive and Titan have a force field?

I've been playing this game for 3 years and I loved it. But by the end of 2018, you started to do many updates, which makes the game boring. Like the new Overdrive update. The new Overdrive update has made everything easy or hard. It was very enjoyable to get the gold boxes beforehand because we needed talent. But now Mammoth is waiting on Dropzone, pressing Shift and catching the golden box, and that's not fun. The Juggernaut mode is not enjoyable either, because killing Juggernaut has become very easy. You press Shift to kill. If we're Juggernaut, it's hard to kill a lot of tanks because if someone hits Shift, we die. Please remove this update, this update will kill Tanki Online. You cannot be played by more people with this update. Thanks.

I've been playing this game for 3 years and I loved it. But by the end of 2018, you started to do many updates, which makes the game boring. Like the new Overdrive update. The new Overdrive update has made everything easy or hard.

 

It was very enjoyable to get the gold boxes beforehand because we need talent. But now Mammoth is waiting on Dropzone, pressing Shift and catching the golden box, and that's not fun. The Juggernaut mode is not enjoyable either, because killing Juggernaut has become very easy.

 

You press Shift to kill. If we're Juggernaut, it's hard to kill a lot of tanks because if someone hits Shift, we die.

 

Please remove this update, this update will kill Tanki Online. You cannot be played by more people with this update. Thanks Tanki Online developers!

Me too, I love the game they written. I enjoyed the update they give us, even the Overdrive Update.

 

You can still catch Gold Boxes without using Mammoth. In Tanki's birthday, I caught my only Cake Gold Box with Hornet.

They ruined the game. Has taken what little skill and strategy was left in the game out. Overdrives have caused the monthly challenges almost impossible to complete. Of course you can BUY your way through them now. Maybe this was admins strategy....sure it was. Along with drones, alterations and these newest turrets you have managed to loose 75% of your customers in the last 21/2 years. You have also redefined Pay To Win... Your parkour family is pretty much all that's left except for the ones that only in pro-battles. Thank you tanki for taking just about all the fun out of what use to be a awesome game.

You have also redefined Pay To Win...

Help me out here. My clan is mostly f2p players with good equipment and who do very well in battles. Can u elaborate how they must pay in order to win?
