[HELP] Tanki Online Client crashes while recording with Windows 10 game mode

 Share

Recommended Posts

For the past few weeks I have been trying to record for YouTube with the Windows 10 recording feature - Game mode.

After around a minute the client just crashes, I then have to close my Client and boot up again.

I have uninstalled the client and downloaded it again and this did not help.

Please help me, I would like to start recording for YouTube again, I have attached the following video to show what is happening below.

Thanks

So it isn't only the program you are using to record? May I ask which program is that and how is your CPU when you are recording? Make sure it doesn't go from yellow to red and just in case make sure it doesn't overheat. Also how much bitrate are you using?

Clean your client cache and try to reenter a battle. If this does not help, change your browser. By the way, you can try using the Standalone Flash Player instead of the Tanki Client.

I cleaned my client cache but no luck, thanks for helping though.

Around 20% when I am recording and its the Windows 10 Game DVR, built in game recording for Windows 10

protip: windows 10 sucks, use OBS for recording

OBS does not record at 60 FPS for me

Hmm, do you have any other recording software? If so have you tried this with other recording softwares perhaps and does this only happen with the built in recorder?

I've tried numerous recording softwares and none of them actually record in 60 FPS, its only the Windows Game DVR that records with 60 FPS. It was good for a while but now I cannot even record due to this problem.

Great point, . Try some of the other recording programs if you can, here you can find them all.

None of them actually record with 60 frames per second with that. It actually makes my Tanki Client lag and while recording I get around 15 FPS with that and the video too.

Try doing the following things:

  • Go to Power Options, Change advanced power settings. In the new window find Graphic and processor power management, and put them to maximum performance. Not harmful to do other than making it consume a bit more battery.
  • Open Task Manager, go to Processes and right click on the browser/flash/client process and set it's Priority to High.

Actually, realtime is better, and also put recorder priority to realtime (you should have atleast 2 cores!!!!)
