Wasn't this the whole point of the change, that a long range turret should not be able to beat a short distance turret in close combat and that a short range turret should not be able to beat a long range turret at long distance?

The new Repair Kit doesn't help in balancing the turrets or the battle.

As battles are today, unbalanced because of long brackets, where most people only join the winning teams with the most high ranks and premiums, and avoid the losing team of almost always low ranks; Repair Kits are only beneficial to the dominating team, whom they can safely do a complete repair if they ever need one, while the losing team is being spawn killed by Magnums and can't even do a complete repair after miraculously surviving a few hits. It doesn't matter if you are using a long range turret or a close one at that moment. Now add to that the imbalanced Overdrive.

Sometimes I join the losing team when I see they may have chances; many times I regret doing that because just after I enter, a big drugger joins the winning team and we end up losing badly; sometimes I help the losing team win with the help of some drugs, including a couple of Repair Kits. With this new Repair Kit (and OD) I'll be avoiding losing teams and only focus on missions and then some Parkour.

I'm not alone in avoiding losing teams, many people do it, they even leave your team to go to the opposing team when things are not looking good. Now with OD, they can see which team will have ODs faster just by looking the numbers before they even join a battle.

The problem is that those that don't join winning teams, don't look for different servers, and are not careful in choosing "good battles" (winning teams), are probably very frustrated, and who knows, maybe many of them are the ones leaving Tanki. Lately I'm seeing the number of players from around 5000 to below 30000.

So, the real thing is not a perfect scenario of balanced battles like the vlog portrays where the new Repair Kit is wonderful.

I don't think they are trying to say that battles are now balanced. I think that they just mean that now repair kit is more balanced with other stuff because it doesn't make you virtually immortal.

That said, of course the new repair kit benefits the winning team over the losing team, so did the old repair kit, so do all other supplies, and so does pretty much everything else in Tanki other than the point system in CP. One-sided battles is a long-standing problem in Tanki that is not going to be solves with changes on supplies, and I don't think that the changes in repair kit were intended to improve this. They just wanted to make it a bit easier to compete for those who don't use supplies.

Sadly this kind of behaviour will be encouraged. Many will enter these battles just to complete their daily missions and some are capable of anything to do so, even if that involves sabotaging their own team. Not every kind of mission can have a negative impact in this way, but I expect some to just sit waiting for supplies to drop for example.

What do you mean encouraged?

This behavior always happened, however instead of been done in private battle they now are seen in current battle, which make it easier to report. So report it and then it will dealt with. The more you report the cleaner the battle will becomes.

IMO isida/thunder is not different from Wasp/Fire battle, where DM rules are bent to fit a specific purpose: increase the number of kills.

Nonetheless increased kill means also increased of xp and increased of crystal for everybody, per battle everybody can make up to 60 kills = 600 Xp and 594 crys. Does this should be ok too?

Drops mission are going to be dropped as per the V-log hinted. They are less of an issue.

Well, not being allowed to complete missions in PRO battles will make people act like this in order to boost their income. This kind of behaviour isn't new as it had existed before the update was realised but back in those days people were mostly exploiting the system without affecting the performace of a 10 player team for example. Both things are bad in a way, but I'd like to see a solution so that we don't have to deal with any inconvenient of this type.

I don't think comparing IsidaThunder with FireWasp is a good idea. In Fire-Wasp all players agree to use a certain type of equipment and play in a certain way (no drugging, no kills stealing...) so it benefits all players. I don't mind people getting free exp with Thunder-Isida as long as these people do it in a pro battle or somewhere else because they don't contribute in any way to help the team win, the battle fund will be rather low and the Isida will get a considerable amount of exp and crystals without doing something for the team.

Don't worry if you get 99999 XP mission, call me & we will do isida/thunder all day & vice-versa

Here's a complete analysis of the Repair Kit if you want to see how the newer Repair Kit has affected the game, what has it changed and what changes could be expected.

Also, lovely VLOG. It is nice to hear the developers answering players' questions once and for all (also eliminating any rumors and so on). Sad to hear that XT skins aren't being done right now (though I completely understand the logic behind it). Looking forward to the matchmaking system though :)

The old Repair Kit was OP, but it was the same for everyone, now if your team is in the losing end you probably are not gonna be able to do full repairs.

What exactly are developers planning to do with modules? I don't understand, will it be smart to buy a module at September sales?

Nothing much will happen to modules, except for some 'fine tuning', according to . What exactly will happen is unknown and certainly nothing will happen to them any time soon.

I see that the average number of players is continuing to drop even after the new changes that the highly intelligent and all wise Pony Tail Boy and his Dev's have implemented. In fact they are running on average about 10,000 less during peak times than they were this time last year. The number of players just keeps dropping and dropping. I wonder at what point that it will suddenly dawn on them that they've made very bad decisions? I guess it'll be when their paycheck bounces because there are not enough players left to support the game. Watch out guys and gals pretty soon they'll probably start charging to change servers or equipment. LOL

They kept saying that they don't want Tanki to be a pay to play game. Then they keep having sale after sale and they keep making it harder and harder to be able to build your garage through game earnings. Some things, such as kits, can now only be paid for except by cash. In the past you could pay with crystals. They say limiting the effectiveness of the health kit was to better balance the game. It has had the exact opposite effect. In fact it has caused a greater use in the other supplies to compensate. Which of course causes players to spend more money. Once again, boys and girls, notice that they again took away the ability to buy supply kits with crystals and now you have to use cash.

Every change over the last few years has been made to make people spend more cash. Separating paints and protections, changes in the shop doing away with the ability to purchase with crystals, and ridiculous prices on upgrades and speed-ups with the added incentive to use speed-ups because of the insanely long times it takes for an upgrade to take place (up to 2 weeks in some cases), and now the change to supplies. Everything has been designed to put pressure on you to be a buyer if you want to be competitive. Yeah baby, pay to play is here to stay no matter how they try to explain it away.

People are getting tired of  the callous attitude of Pony Tail Boy and the Dev's and they're getting tired of seeing the game they love ruined . That is why the numbers keep going down and down. My only wish is that I could see Pony Tail Boy's face when he finally realizes his ride is over. Though he'll still claim it wasn't his fault that the game went out of business.

Honestly, I don't think that their going to create some custom protection modules. So it's very likely that they will stay as they currently are.

I think the developers should answer more questions than the ones they answered.

Correct- now make a game discussion topic called "Tanki right now" and watch butthurt mods close it. But do it anyway, I'm sure many users will agree.

Most of the time, some of the things we see or experience in the test servers are the upcoming updates so they are tested in there and if the Devs finish quickly than they are released for public in the original game. So sometimes the exact same thing in test server(s) are released as an update(s) and sometimes a little bit different of slightly modified but nonetheless same thing so to the best of my knowledge, answering your question is yes but I guess that remains to be seen.

Yes, you have the helmet dude icon.

He wears a helmet, because he is a newspaper guy.

You know, if you drive around with the bicycle and throw the newspapers infront of the people's doors, you should wear a helmet on your bike.
