Fix issue of Isida not getting points for healing if it dies while healing

Recommended Posts

Players like me, who use Isida to heal team mates in team battles lose experience points when dying when still holding the space bar on the keyboard. For me, it is a huge concern because over the course of years, it can be several ranks worth of experience points lost. The problem is that players who are holding the space bar to heal other players using Isida lose all of the experience points when they get destroyed upon healing someone else.

My suggestion is to have an update that causes every single unit point of experience point that is given to another player upon healing with Isida, to be automatically added to the rank bar. That is to add a +1 XP to the rank bar when +1 healing point is given to a player during the healing process.

A good thing to do would also make Isida heal +1 of HP of the team member to be added to the rank bar, but I am not too sure if this would be a concern of earning too much XP.

I have seen many players of all ranks (from Recruit to Legend) who uses Isida to rank up faster, and gain more points in battles. Players that are bad at killing enemies in battles just because they don't know how to properly aim at their enemies can take the role of a good medic to heal their team members on the battlefield.

By having such an update that will fix the loss of experience points when holding the space bar, will assure that no players get disappointed by the lost experience points.

Valid
Completed

I think this is just something that developers overlooked when creating the turret an never got around to fixing. Because let's be honest - you're really exaggerating when you say "it can be several ranks worth of experience points lost", unless you mean Recruit ranks ?

This isn't that big of an issue and even though it's a valid concern - it's not something developers will prioritise on, therefore don't expect this to be fixed anytime soon.

(and please stop changing your text into such bright fonts - it's really hard to read)

Players of the rank of Recruit to Legend will lose so many experience points over time. That's what I mean. The accumulation of lost experience points during so many ranks ago.

If players let go too often from the space space, Isida will not heal effectively and your team member will die, and the Isida healer will not earn enough experience points.

I know that Isida is not Twins, but it must heal +1 unit of HP per second and add +1 unit of HP per second to the rank bar.

When Isida first came out in Tanki Online, it used to add +1 unit of HP to the rank bar. It was much better that way.

Maf Please understand that I am not exaggerating. The XP points lost from Recruit to Legend ranks accumulate, and if players were able to see how much experience points they have lost over the long journey from Recruit to Legend ranks, they would be very angry.

This is a little tweak that must be made to Isida, so that healer Isida players don't waste any experience points.

riddler stop being over dramatic. It is just a couple of xp points and you should be happy your healing your team mates to help contribute to your team and win the battle rather than be selfish an think about your self gains.

You are being over dramatic about the loss of experience points. If that is the case then that means I lose about 3k experience points per year using Isida. It is not a big deal and your job in the game is to heal not to get xp as your only objective.

Also, killing isn't their job either.

Does it work like that when the player we're healing dies? I never payed attention lately, but I know it was like that a few months ago. You were healing a player and then he died, 0 points for the isida.

How you figure that?

Yup. Same with if you (Isida) die.  that's why you need to release space-bar periodically.

isidas get too much exp at hight ranks anyway. at low ranks it's okay because teammates take less damage so lesser healing for them to do. i don't like it when i have a mission to finish first so i play at my domain, highways tdm, but i always end up finishing 2nd to the isida because my teammates are so noob they get hit by enemy shafts so often. bad enough that one of us doing the healing means one less turret shooting at them, but because of them i can't get my first place. sometimes after 10 rounds of getting 2nd i just change to isida instead. this isn't the fault of the isidas but rather the fault of my noob teammates who enable the isida to gain score from their noobness but... i really think that isidas are already getting a little too much exp.

The developers said that they will not nerf or buff Isida any more because they removed self-healing, so they managed to find the right balance of all modifications.

I adopted this tactics months ago. Sometimes it drives my teammates crazy, especially when they die

I have M4 Isida and I do not get too much XP. The current XP when healing Isida players and other gun players is OK.

if the current one is okay why would you care about the exp you don't get when you die??

On average you might be correct, but I see no evidence of this.....In fact, the Isida in my garage is by far the worst EXP gaining turret of my 4x M4's. My noob Magnum would probably have better EXP gaining if I could be bothered to upgrade/use it.

Magnum is OP if you use it with supplies in non pro battles but useless without supplies in non pro battles. Also Magnum is OP in pro battles since barely anyone has defences for them.

look at riddler's profile, more than 2/3 of his exp came from isida.... isida alone got him enough exp to get from recruit to legend 6

edit: actually it's 75% of all his exp, if you divide his exp from isida over total from all turrets, there could be even more exp from isida he got before that update

It depends how you use it, and in what maps. If you stay only focused to heal teammates, you can get a lot of exp. But I find this way of playing quite boring, I must attack sometimes, or help attackers.

Silence CTF Pro Battles 2 or 3 flags are often dominated by Isidas in the tab for example.
