Declined Open links in Client

I was thinking about this today, with the upcoming Box Collector event at 19:00 UTC.

 

Anyway, links will be posted on the facebook page. And by clicking link, it will open in the browser.

 

You all know that such events are rushed pretty fast, and Tanki on the Client is cleary faster than the browser. So the chances of joining are better using the Client.

 

So, is something like this possible or not?

 

It's not a big issue I know, but it might be cool for players that are die hard events fan. It's not my case, but from times to times, I would like to participate. But usually, 19:00 UTC equals 21:00 for me and I'm eating :ph34r: :ph34r: :ph34r:

A solution for this already exists. Just open up the client beforehand, type in server chat "a7x_Pedro48:" and go to the FB page. Once the link is posted, copy and paste it in chat, send the message and click on the battle link that appears.

 

It's not a perfect solution, but it works. And since you yourself said that this isn't a big issue, developers don't need to fix it.

But isn't that how event battle links are posted in chat and random people enter event battles? Or what do you mean by server chat?

You got that part right. If you enable "PM from friends only," you can't PM yourself because apparently you aren't friends with yourself. However, that can easily be fixed by unticking the box.

Well... I can't PM myself in the client chat.

Then I checked the box, and the same thing.

 

But then unchecked the box again, and now it works.
