Earn points for using overdrive to help teammates

Overdrive is a very powerful thing in Tanki. But a lot of players use it just for them selfs because they want to get more point than the "Good" players that share the effect with others.

 

So my idea is that when a player activates Overdrive and share it he will get 10 - 20% of points the teammates that got effect make. The team will not get less points. (It is same as Refeal Codes).

 

The good thing is that he will keep getting points before teammate gets Destroyed and not before effect expires.

Getting points will also stop if You (the player that activated overdrive) gets destroyed.

 

 

That means that you will need to share overdrive with Campers :P

But when the other overdrives will be added (such as the one that simply allows all your teammates to see enemies through walls), then how those gain you more points from helping teammates?

The number of people who get the overdrive effect when you activate it=x

No. of exp you get= ax, a being a number the Devs deem appropriate. I would suggest 5.

How to use overdrive, and the exp benefit you get, should be shown on the tips screen when loading. Most people simply don't know anything about overdrive. While other supplies show which button to press (you will see a small number on the respective supplies in the supplies bar below in a battle) overdrive doesn't show this.

Why?

 

There is no point, you do overdrive so u help your team mates perform better so you win the battle, you shouldn't really be getting points for it.

Well, it'll encourage people to actually play like a team and share the overdrive.

1. Deactivate all enemies Supplies: 0 Points (it can't be shared with Teammates lol)

2. Bomb Overdrive: 15-30% of Points (because The overdrive does not have time you will get points from Bomb but after bomb explodes you will stop getting points)

3. Energy+ Overdrive: 10-25 %

4. The Magic shield pool thing: 20%

5. The Invincible Tank overdrive: 15-20% (lol) <-- this overdrive can be used for TROLLING

6. To see enemy through walls: 10%

 

BUT YOU CLOUD JUST GIVE THEM ALL 20-25 % BECAUSE THEY ARE UNIQUE AND EACH PLAYER WITH DIFFERENT HULL WOULD NEED TO CHANGE HULL IF HE WOULD WANT TO GET MORE POINTS. THAT WOULD BE WERRY BAD. +1 FROM ME

It is similar to the following idea, although it is slightly different:

It's quite different. From my interpretation, it seems that they want the HP earned from the Overdrive's RK to transfer into EXP points for the person who activated. eg. Someone with 10% health received the RK bonus and the user receieves 9 EXP. Sorta like how Isida heals.

No! The current overdrive is 4 drugs and drugs are mainly for people who can't play aka noobs. you already get more points because you're able to capture and kill more. why should you get points for using drugs or even worse making others use them.

 

when the new overdrives come out only dictator and hornet would have effect on team mates so it wouldnt be fair.

Rather choose something like alterations for hulls, but rather called additions, where each's hull biggest disadvantage would be considered and these alterations would nerf less important stats of the hull and buff the considered disadvantage. It's like - Wasp flips too easily, add controllers and slightly increase weight and decrease speed &/ acceleration. - Viking can't shoot very well in the term of vertical aiming, then think about something that would help.

 

Maybe add visual parts too to recognize a player with it and make it more realistic.

You know, I have a lurking suspicion that the devs are gonna pull an "April fools 2016" type joke with these. I just can't see these in tanki online. Ok, maybe tanki X, but no way in tanki online.

Actually titan will(might, read my above post) drop a "protective shield generator". I think it will just make nearby teammates invincible to some extent. However, it does help teammates.

Many "professionals players" are using overdrive alone so maybe if they get a motivation for earning one score point then maybe that will make them use it with atleast one teammate.

 

For exemple using Overdrive with 4 people =  you earn +4 score.

Using it alone = -1 score

When you share overdrive, you get xp and points, which encourages people to share it with others.

 

With the new ODs, sharable overdrives will be able to get the score.

What we really need is more overdrives.

Please noooo! We need more hulls, Magnum nerf, Thunder and Striker splash nerf and Hornet M1 and M2 buff. And Matchmaking, of course (I do not want my Titan Shaft to be flanked by a noob drugger).

Magnum nerf is not needed.

 

We do need more hulls though. I think that we have enough turrets, but hulls are not enough. There are only 7 hulls. To be a good amount of hulls, we need 10 hulls in total.
