So many posts on  a topic that has literally no effect on game play. Who cares if someone changes their name. Here's a clue: In a year I do not remember one single Tanki nickname from battle. Not one. Hell I rarely even read them. I could not care less is someone changes their name after every battle.

It makes me a little sad that you think that. That clearly shows that all the work the helpers have been doing to help and improve the community has gone quite unnoticed.

By the way, whenever I disagree with the community manager, or have a complaint, I just go and talk to him about it. I know, that doesn't make sense at all!

No, don't be sad, that will make me sad too. :'(

Seriously, your work (helpers) to maintain the forum and improve the communauty is not going unnoticed. The last 12 months have showed many improvements in many areas.

Keep on the good work. (Thumb up)

Edit: btw, why wouldn't you post your feedback (Negative feedback)  here same as everyone then as an moderator/administrator if you complain about some features? It does but not in a specific way, feedback should be sent on the topic itself not to direct message the community manager or whatsoever.

We collect the feedback from the topics and report it to the cm along with any additional feedback we have ourselves.

If you're in a clan or have good friends in the game you will likely become more conscious of your name and may want to change it, but it's more the principle of having a feature previously available to all players now only available to a select few who buy.

I can see why it doesn't matter for you, credit to you for picking a name which always makes me smile, never change it.

What are your views on this proposed update then?

Finally after being suggested for almost 3 years we get this feature, but they go for milking people even more by making it only available for real money instead of crystals.. Also should be worth £8 at best, not more.

Every online games changing nickname is not to pay, except this game

Not all games even offer name changing, I mean once you make your account, you will be stuck with that nickname of yours forever till you make a new account. I don't think I need to give you examples in here as that applies to tons of big companies.

What are your views on this proposed update then?

It it gets cheaper, it might be 8 or even lower depending on the sale if that ever happens so I'm also curious to know about the price too. :)

I think it would have been far better if they'd implemented it like this back when they first introduced the feature in 2012 (but that's easy to say now of course). I think that the price is a tad bit high. This update doesn't affect me personally though. I have no desire to change my nickname and it's something that does not make the gap between those that can invest money and those that can't any bigger when it comes to actual gameplay.

For me, what I think is that it's irrelevant to anyone who doesn't like changing his nickname, and after all, it doesn't affect gameplay at all. So instead of being something leaning towards a P2W situation, this is just a way of giving players an easier way of changing their nicknames while also making some sort of profit from it, and there's nothing bad about that to be honest.

Soon everything will be a paid feature. You want a new turret that comes out? $50 New map? $20

Tanki devs are trolly genies that take what players want and twist it to make things even worse.

i Really like how The Forum Admins & the CM always find a way to defend Bad Updates...

well im guessing they get a good amount of crystals and supplies every month for being helper, so praising the developers for the bad updates is likely to ensure they don't get kicked from the job.

if a helper criticizes the devs too much in the forum, they will read it and relieve him / her from their duties, so i guess it is in their personal interest to defend the updates.

If this ever happen, then they will not call it free to play. We will see soon enough right ;)

Legendissima incarnate you so well!

If you do it once more, you might as well choose Miss_Viking4s as a new interim nick

Have to disagree - Alterniva devoted considerable effort this year into eliminating Flash errors and are now actively moving to HTML5. They are also working on MatchMaking, Overdrives, and Holiday events. That takes money, and that money must come from somewhere.

All we've seen is unfulfilled promises and gimmicks. If the product is so great why is there a continuing decline in players. It's getting very hard for the game to crack even 35,000 players during peak times now. Last year at this time it was around 45,000. 5 years ago over 100,000. The Dev's don't listen to the players and they keep taking freedom of choice away from us and forcing bad changes to the game down our throats. Overdrives, don't get me started on overdrives, that stuff is the largest gimmick yet. the only thing they do do half way right is the holiday events. That's why you usually see a temporary rise in the number of players. After the holidays are over you see a sharp drop. Go and look up the analytics yourself. the proof is in the numbers.

I'm wondering why you didn't quote the second part of my post   ;)

it's far easier to get spectrum by being a helper than by winning a tournament. any self respecting player would rather spend months and months to reach the minimum rank for tournaments, get good enough equipment and practise instead of taking the shortcut and just bootlick admins and developers. but yah not all players are self respecting ones.
