Allow players to "borrow" crystals

Recommended Posts

Players should be able to borrow crystals, like you can borrow money from the bank. Here is how it would work:

-A player would have a maximum amount that they could be in debt (maybe double their rankup fund). Past this amount, they could no longer borrow.

-Tanki would charge interest, just like a real bank.

-50% of the player's earnings would go towards paying debts.

-You could instantly pay off a certain amount of the debt, but this would be voluntary.

-This system would become availible at Sargeant-Major

Here is where it could come in useful:

Imagine you are on the rank of Warrant Officer 1. You have bought the Twins M1 in a kit, and want to buy the Stable Plasma Alteration for it. You have 21K saved up. Then, there is a one-day sale (50%) on Alterations. You then borrow 4K crystals to buy it at it's reduced price. Using it, you eventually pay off your debt. You probably saved just under 25K by borrowing.

Declined

Such a system will do more bad than good. This game is popular for its simplicity, so adding things like loans and interest will turn it into a banking simulator that would confuse many players. It adds unnecessary complications to the economy. Best to keep it simple - you save up, you buy.

Also, it would give players an advantage during sales. These promotional events are done in order to encourage players to buy crystals. So if you have 21k crystals and you need 25, you would be tempted to go to the shop and buy a few crystals. If you could instead borrow crystals from a "bank", you wouldn't need to spend money, thus Tanki gets less revenue.

Anyhow, you know why sre you making so many ideas related to crystal to another account, or other crystal stuff? Is it for your benefit? Well, most ideas aren't accepted anyway.

"Making so many ideas"? You mean declining? Anyway, there's no benefit for me in declining ideas, so I process them in the most unbiased and realistic way possible.

I was talking to the guy who made this topic.

I see. I thought you addressed it to me since you mentioned me in the post.
