Very specific question about vulcan self damage.

My screen name is vulcanrage. 

 

However, there is a vital piece of information about vulcan that bewilders me. But I think I know... but I do not know if I know. 

 

So what is the self damage rate?

 

Here is what I have always thought... 

 

M0 vulcan self heating damage = damage of firebird m0

M1 Vulcan self damage = m1 firbired

m2 vulcan- m2 firebird

m3 vulcan = m3 firebird.

 

But!!!!! now I'm thinking something else. 

 

M0 vulcan self heating damage = after burn of firebird m0 in reverse. 

m1 vulcan = m1 firebird afterburn reverse. 

m2 vulcan = m2, 

m3 vulcan =m3 firebird. 

 

So at m2 vulcan, I overheat like so (i don't have firebird m2  i don't know numbers) 1 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100 110 110 110 110 110 110 110

 

at m3 vulcan i overheat like so: 1 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100 110 120 130 140 150 150 150 150 150 150 150

 

But now, is even this wrong? 

 

Is the damage of vulcan related to the level of my tank? I think no

 

But is it: M ANYTHING vulcan, + m0/m1/m2/m3 titan = firebird m level of my titan. 

 

So does having an m2 vulcan mean that my m0 titan would take m2 firebird damage? I think yes,

 

Please, I'd like very exact information as possible. 

 

I mean, it's my turret.. and I don't know.

no not the overheating. just the regular damage after shooting bar runs out sorry

At else put the word "overheat" somewhere in the title

Well I mean I'm a rank above you... I play it.

 

But my vulcan is currently at m3, it is still fairly strong at this rank. 

 

I got m3 vulcan at your rank... it was very powerful, and really still is. 

 

Fire protect is needed, I just got one on sale. at 26% protection now. Still accustoming myself to the longer duration of fire, it's slight but the cooling down is faster now when i stop firing to cool off. 

 

I like vulcan, but yes, it's not really any specialty niche really. 

 

There is one thing I'll say for vulcan, of all turrets to have a double isida backing them up, vulcan is the strongest. 

 

 

You give 2 isidas with any other turret (except maybe isida - 3 isidas is very strong) But I think vulcan really even rivals twins at this stage. 

 

Vulcan with 2 isidas is continuous fire just like twins. That's what you experience and it is a joy. You get better range than a twins, and with twins I find missing 25% of shots is more than likely, I mean nifty manoeuvring at a decent range most people can dodge a couple twins bullets now and then. But vulcan targeting is very good except for extremely close turns but I'm fairly good with those too. 

 

Anyways, respect to vulcans. :)

You are correct, mostly.

Vulcan M0 overheat is the same as Firebird M0 afterburn

Vulcan M1 overheat is the same as Firebird M1 afterburn

Vulcan M2 overheat is the same as Firebird M2 afterburn

Vulcan M3 overheat is the same as Firebird M3 afterburn

Vulcan M4 overheat is the same as Firebird M4 afterburn

 

Basically, vulcan’s overheat gets worse as you upgrade it. :(

This prompts the user to spend crystals on a Firebird protection module.

Vulcan needs to be a bit buffed in terms of overheating , it's too annoying when it gets overheated so quickly , taking half hp of the hull at one go

Good Vulcan players should fire only for a limited time when they do not have any friendly Isida near themselves. It is a great way to nerf Vulcan, which is not made to be used as long range Twins. Vulcan is best with Titan and it should hide behind something for some time after shooting for few seconds.

dont use vulcan i think you should use isida, it is a better turret

True, because Isida heals camping Shafts and Railguns which are great against Vulcan, Smoky and Thunder in long range fights.
