At this point it's pointless to expect anything good from normal containers. Enjoy the fact that you get 9000 crystals and some supplies from the weekly containers, while the standard container is just a little bonus reward with a small chance to get something amazing.

Remove it and give random 125 supplies on completing weekly missions. Simple. You can't call it a container.

That's actually what I wanted to write at first, but changed it to "small" when I realised I can't be bothered to spell out "miniscule"

 

On a serious note though, the chance is not that bad. The basic supplies (DD, DA, SB and mine) account for around 45% of the rewards (although I admit it feels more than that). But as long as you lower your expectations when opening containers, you won't be disappointed.
