Clan Missions

Well, clans are pretty useless IMO. The only thing it does is make your long username even longer and gives you the ability to add extra friends when your friends list is already full.

I'm pretty sure a basic concept in any game where there are clans/clubs/squads/groups is that they can work together to achieve prizes (so yeah there is the reason to decline this topic, 'cause i'm giving bonus rewards but please mods put it at least under review).

Very similar to our mission system, clan missions are basically missions where you and your clanmates work together to achieve stuff to earn prizes. The missions will basically be an extended and longer version of a daily mission.

For example, a mission could be to get 2000 kills in a week and everyone can receive 30 of each supply or 6000 crystals (may or may not be reasonable, just an example)

Or, it could be capture 1000 flags in a month and everyone receives 20000 crystals.

Anyways, they are something like that. You can only contribute to the mission by playing in non-PRO battles so that you and your teammates can't just create a private battle and just cheat by letting each other kill each other or cap against each other.

I think there could be tiers for each mission. Basically what I mean is that if your clan gets some amount of points or kills, they will reach a certain tier, and if they get more, the progress to the next tier until the mission time expires.

Example:

1. Everyone starts Tier 1. The mission is 100 kills in 1 month (starts off easy). The reward for completion is 300 crystals.

2. The clan gets 100 kills in a day. They move to Tier 2. The mission is now 500 kills in 29 days (progressses in difficulty). The rewards for completion are 20 Double Power and 20 Nitro (rewards increase).

3. They get 500 kills in a week. They move to Tier 3. The mission is now 2000 kills in 22 days. The rewards for completion is now 2 containers and 15 of each supply.

And so and so forth until the time runs out.

LIMITATIONS/OTHER RULES:

1. If you contributed to less than 5% of first place in your clan's value, you receive no rewards.

2. Failure to complete a tier in time will result in no rewards from that specific tier.

3. You receive all your rewards at once by the end of the mission deadline.

4. There will be multiple missions going at once.

5. If you enter a clan when they are currently on-going a specific mission, you may not contribute or receive rewards for that mission.

6. If you leave a clan where you contributed to a mission, you will not receive the rewards you worked for.

7. You cannot change your mission.

8. No PRO battles.

9. There is no bonus reward for coming in first or being the leader of the clan. No i in Clan! However, you may be promoted for your excellent work.

10. There will be a leaderboard in your clan page that shows how much every person contributed to the clan missions. You may be kicked or demoted if you barely do anything!

I feel like this system will contribute to the clans system a lot and it will have clan members cooperating together for once. This may also influence clan members to join each other's battles to help each other boost the clan. This also allows clan members to check each other's progress and know what another member is doing.

Valid

The reason the clan system is currently useless is because it's incomplete. Multiple improvements are already planned, so those will be done before anything else regarding clans (such as this). But it's an interesting idea.

I hope the devs are planning to improve and perfect the clan system first before any other random updates. I think this is something we have all been hoping for a long time since the in-game clans were created but the devs think they have something better in mind.

Good idea but I dont agree with " If you enter a clan when they are currently on-going a specific mission, you may not contribute or receive rewards for that mission. " According to your post most of the tasks take half to a whole month and a member sitting idle would be just a waste, this could also make people sabotage clans by leaving and hence stopping clan missions progression. Instead, the missions should be weekly and would require at least 1 member in the same battle/team as you in order to complete the mission, therefore you cant contribute to the missions solo. It will encourage clans to kick inactive members and to play with each other more often.

What if someone gets a clan mission and is not a member of any clan, what is he supposed to do? Even if he gets rid of that mission, what if there's another mission that's annoying and the player wants to get rid of that too, he's not gonna waste crystals just for changing that?

I put that rule there because I feel like many players would use some strategy to maximize rewards by just joining a clan that is almost done with their mission and then contributing a little, get the rewards, leave, and join another clan that is almost done. However, you have a lot of logic and thought behind your reasoning and I am OK towards getting rid of that rule.

About making missions weekly, I'm sorry my first post was confusing because I selected bad examples. Mission time ranges are completely randomized so there will be some missions that are daily, some are weekly, and one is monthly. I am thinking of making all 3 to be accessible to clans at once so they can work on all of them and play more and get more rewards.

I disagree with forcing clanmates to play together. Many people live in different parts of the world with different timezones, further increasing the difficulty of completing long missions. I think that the clan missions itself already would influence clan mates to play with each other more often.

What if someone gets a clan mission and is not a member of any clan, what is he supposed to do? Even if he gets rid of that mission, what if there's another mission that's annoying and the player wants to get rid of that too, he's not gonna waste crystals just for changing that?

You are mistaken (sorry if my post was complicated, I will edit later). On the clan page would be where people could see the clan missions. That means you need to be part of a clan to see and do the clan missions. Daily Missions will be completely separate and are things to complete on your own time (Clan Missions WILL NOT replace daily missions).

Pretty sure players without a clan wouldn't get such missions.

Maybe if like there is goals in the clan like missions for your whole clan for example a goal of next tank destroys for the whole clan and if you meet that goal the whole clan earns a perk of any sort to help them on a battle field or maybe rewards like crystals or skins and stuff and maybe clan trophies and clan levels.

Hello,

Clan is just useless, its only utility is to be with a groups of friends, so I suggest to make it possible to do some special missions with the teammates of the clan, which the reward will be very good such 3 containers, etc. Also I suggest to add between those missions, very rare one which will give you skin container, railgun XT, etc. Also, the missions can be changed only 1 time for free, like the daily missions

Clans were intended to get players together and do battles. When the clan system first came out it was novel and a bit of a status lift, especially if you got asked to join a well established clan that was noted to always do well in battles. Clans are now obsolete (e-sports not withstanding) and as usual the devs found a way to make cash from them. (no surprise there then)

To get the clan system back up and running you (the devs) need to give incentives for players to form clans and compete as a clan for long periods at a time.

Firstly, it shouldn't cost a dime to be in a clan and especially if you want to hand over the reigns to another clan member.

I agree about the missions "for clans only" and the rewards should reflect the achievements of the clan as a whole.

You could even have a league system, not unlike e-sport clans and be promoted as a clan (gaining rewards) to higher levels depending on how well you do achieving your clan missions. (this more than anything will be a great incentive)

The potential to reinvent the clan system really has no limits, as long as the devs don't start asking for cash and actually give back to the TO community and make being in a clan fun and worthwhile.

Whatever the devs have planned for clans they have got to make it worthwhile for players, that means scrap any ideas you have to monetise the clan system and instead give good rewards for clans that are active and complete missions.

You (the devs) have a great opportunity to actually get something right, don't waste it and DO NOT bring cash into it.

One last point. Do not allow e-sports clans to dominate and spoil it for your regular MM clans. (that includes individuals trying to join a regular MM clan) In short, they are not allowed to compete in any missions as a clan,(individual) they have their own e-sports set up and they should stick to that.

How would this work in MM battles?

Think I might have this covered. Missions as a clan run alongside those of regular missions and being in a clan means you get a fourth separate mission to complete to go towards your clans overall achievements, this I feel could work.

A group of friends in a clan get together and dominate a battle, get the lions share of the reward and then... get extra rewards on top of that?

Why would any other players who are not in the clan want to participate in that?

It's just another incentive for regular plugs like me to exit a battle when I see a bunch of clan tags.

@wolverine848 Have to admit, you do have a very valid point. Never really thought of how it would affect regular joes like you and me and other players not in a clan going up against a well drilled team, most likely on voice to.

Damn, you just wrecked my idea in my previous post, I thought it was quite good too.

LOL.

Recently finished a battle where there were 3 tags from same Clan on other team - so obviously a group.

We were spanked.  Badly.  Was not fun in the least.

I have no idea if this has already been suggested before, but I think it would be neat to have clans work together to complete missions, the difficulty of the mission depending on the size of the clan, and you need a certain amount of people in your clan to start one.  This would also offer some more benefit to being in a clan.

Still waiting on this update.

There is a problem though. Some Clans are HUGE, so if the Devs implement this, Clan Missions should take the number of people in a Clan and set a difficulty based on that number, to make it fair for every Clan.

For example, a Clan with 10 members will only need to earn like 10000 Points together as an easy mission but a Clan with 1000 members will need to earn 10000000 Points together.
