You have ruined the game, thank you very much.

 

If you are outnumbered leave as fast as you can, otherwise even noobs will be killing you if you have the ball or the flag.

Seriously though, who's this noob 5 years old designer that designed those childish indicators ?

 

the previous indicators where just fine, they needed no change at all, i've never seen anyone complain about them before.

 

i know @Maf will decline this idea, but even people with down syndrome could see how poorly designed those indicators are.

 

if that's how the graphic will be in this game from now on, then RIP Tanki.

 

Dear developers, man up, and apologize like men do when they make a huge mistake, and immediately remove these childish indicators, revert the change now, because they are so annoying.

Personally I don't like the new indicators too, no disrespect but definitely not something that I was looking forward to. The colors are too bright, especially some of them and the icons are too big, yesterday when I joined a XP/BP battle and some new players joined the map, I couldn't see their names since the icons covered half of the player's nickname.

Who was the 3 year old with ADHD who drew the turret icons?

 

What's the point of removing something that was not a problem and not replacing it with anything? (battle indicators)

 

It takes my attention away from the middle of the screen when i check who took or lost the flag...

I played some more and it is completely horrible. Let's say I hear the sound a flag being taken. With the old notifications, it was instantly obvious whether it was the enemy flag or our flag that was being taken. I could quickly make a decision to drive to our base and defend the flag, keep doing what I was doing, or go help out the attackers which have taken the enemy flag.

 

Now, if I hear the sound I have turn my turret first in the direction of our flag and then towards the enemy flag and see whether those little circles are on my screen, which is horribly inconvenient. It's even worse if you play without sound: you will have no idea what is going on. So these indicators which supposedly make things easier make things far worse.

 

Then what happens once your flag has been taken, or you take the enemy flag? Everyone knows the position of the flag carrier and directs their fire towards them. There is no strategy in taking different routes or being sneaky. Magnum, which is already OP, gets the ability to see through walls.

 

The turret indicators look ugly and barely represent their source material, unlike the original ones. In UI design form follows function and not the other way around. Supposedly this update was to make the battle interface look better. Yet it not only makes it look worse but also makes it far less informative. I do not know how this update managed to pass internal tests and got released on the live servers.

The turret icons look as if someone with an IQ that is lower than a toddlers drew them.

I agree with you, it is just lame, and childlish.

 

And yet, you can find this in the first post :

 

Icons for turrets in the battle log were also updated, now all kills will have a new set of icons, which was done to bring the battle interface into a common, modern style.

 

Common and modern style? Imo, it is just ugly. The icon for Magnum was perfect before.

 

The notification for flags are just dumb, we always have to look at the top right to see who has lost the flag. It was way better in the top of the screen.

 

Devs, plz, I'm asking for a simple thing here. Be sober when you work on updates. Plz.

One more thing...now those ugly symbols do not match those original in the wiki. It is chaotic. So what are you guys going to do next? making the wiki looks horrible , right?

 

I know you guys won't and never roll back anything including mistakes you have done. Now I am asking to let us toggle the indicators on/off so you can still keep them there without rolling back but we can choose to see or not see them. They are ugly and distracting. They take lot more area then before.

The Wiki team will update the wiki soon enough, no need to worry about that.

Better to leave the game than stress yourself out which has been happening to me on Tanki playing with noobs. If only the real players came back from 2012-2014

It is not good at all to see where the flag is from afar for several reasons

1. It is best to look for the flag of the enemies

2. If something steals the flag you can see where it is and it's really really bad because all that is good is that you do not know where the thief is and you have to look for it and because of the update then you can know where it is and you can immediately kill it and return the flag and so whoever steals the flag will not help him If he hid

3. CTF and ASL The whole thing is the surprise that no one knows where the thief is and where he is hiding

Please remove this update it is not good!

The reason of why they dont remove updates is for pride
