My next piece might take a while to be finished, sorry guys.

But it'll be a good piece, don't worry! Especially because it's being written by the infamous Lose™️ foundation. ?

Why'd I capitalize "it'll"

There is no thread for AWS suggestions, but I will use this thread instead. Can there be a picture usage award for how well photos are used in an article, and how it fits with the flow of the words, I feel that these details are generally overlooked. I don't need prize crystals, just a couple of pics pointed out with the annual AWS review.

I have a suggestion regarding editing of articles in the AWS:

While approving articles, Reporters could first put the original unedited version of the article in a spoiler at the end of the author's post, and then mention the edits in their approval post. This way, the author will understand his mistakes better.

I know that we are supposed to have saved a copy of our work before posting, but this would be great not only for the author, but also for the readers, who might benefit as well.

Do let me know your views, and the drawbacks of this idea, if there are any.

Thanks!

It is good for the writer benefit, but I don't think that this relevant for the reader.
I would say that mentioning all the changes is a lot of work for the proofreader which do not have the time to do so. If you are really interested you will need to find a third party proofreader that is willing to do it, i can tell you it is difficult. I sometime ask the member of the Sleepy dragon in the discord to proofread for me before submitting here. If you get magenta, it is impressive the passion he put in proofreading, i got lots of valuable insight from him.

Reporters anyway mention edits in their posts after approving. All I'm saying is that Reporters should copy-paste the original unedited version in a spoiler at the bottom of the author's post, before beginning to read or edit the article. Like it should be the first thing they do...

What is the Sleepy Dragon?

How can I contact Magenta? Is he/she on Discord?

Thanks for your view!

Thanks for your view!

Sleepy dragon is the Club "Happy Dragons" [H.D.], magenta is a member/troller on the discord. He comes and goes as he pleases. At some point, the finest reporter and ex-reporter have been member of HD.

OMG

Lolkiller has retired?

If not, then why is he shown as retired in the Amateur Writing Archive, where all works of Amateur Writers and Reporters are displayed?

Check here...

Missed out on that, well, he stepped down from the job sometime in '19 but rejoined earlier this year. Will get a fixing with the above issue. Expect to see it fixed within 48 hours.

I have a suggestion for a new prize/award, as another category in the Best of AWS awards:

You reward writers of the AWS for the titles of their works. Judging could be done on the basis of how witty and appropriate the title is. It doesn't matter whether the title belongs to a story or poem or guide or review.

What do you think?

Hello all!

We are a bit busy over here at the Newspaper team, so a quick heads up: articles may take a bit longer to approve. If you would like the article approved at a certain time, please PM me and I will try to approve it within 5 days. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your cooperation ?
