I love the blaster. Somehow , as a railgunner, I don't like Booster. Even when fully mu-ed, You can get only 1 shot on railgun with the 300% DD.

My favourites: 1-Blaster

                       2-Blaster

                       3-Blaster

I have a question.  When equipped with the Assault Drone, I understand that for each kill you make, you get more time for your active supplies.  But I noticed that the drone has a recharge time of 12 seconds and that the active time parameter can be MU'd from 3 seconds to 15 seconds.  What exactly does this "active time" mean?  Is it the amount of time that gets added to your active supplies per kill?  Or is it how long the drone stays active before having the recharge?

The active time refers to how many seconds are added to your currently activated supplies after each kill when the drone can be activated.

Thanks for the explanation!  So for a drone like the Assault Drone, as long as you stay alive, will the Assault Drone just keep eating batteries every 12 seconds?

Assuming you are getting a kill immediately as the drone is available to use, then yes. If you are not getting any kills then it would eat one once every minute. If you usually get first in DM with 0 deaths then expect to use about 30 batteries per battle.

I don't like to use drones that eat batteries when I kill players, I play a more supportive role after all. I recommend this if you have many batteries to use comfortably.

Thanks again!  Personally, I'm more interested in Trooper, Mechanic, Engineer, Trickster, Defender, and Lifeguard than any of those offense-centric drones.  Still, I'm not settled on a single drone as my main, so I'll hold off on getting a drone.

According to WIKI, that's not how drone's work.

They only work at all if equipped. Under correct circumstances they trigger.

While equipped from garage they use 1 battery per minute of battle.

So in an 8-minute MM battle the most batteries that can be consumed is 8.

OOOooooh I see now!  Yeah, I totally missed that detail from the page: "One battery is used per minute by any drone."  Thanks for the clearup!

The least amount of batteries*, not the most.

It only seems fair if that happens. At least there is a way to counter it and not let it be the overpowered mess it was thought to be when fully Mu-ed.

I think that Mine module should work against that stupid drone, atleast the Mine module would be more useful.

How you figure it can use more than 1 per minute?

Just read the thread over and got some context. Your point would only work assuming that he just sits in the battle and do nothing or his kills get stolen all game.

This is unlikely as he would have at least gotten a kill and therefore used a battery.

So if he just doesn't get any kills for the first 7 minutes and then gets a kill or if he just does nothing all battle then the number of batteries used would be 8. If he continuously gets kills then the batteries used would be more than 8.

Batteries are used to keep the drone flying - 1 per minute.  That's the only cost.

WIKI does not mention anything about extra battery usage for triggering effects. Whether you do nothing, or do lots, the cost is 1 battery per minute.

Ok, I may be very misinformed or I am correct. Just yesterday, I was using the Engineer drone and I used more than 20 batteries in one battle because of the number of supply boxes I picked up.

I'm almost certain that it deducts a battery for every trigger of the drone. if it was only 1 per minute no matter what happens, then I'm pretty sure everyone would have a drone at this point. If it was like that then Assault drone users would be plaguing Dm battles.

Having it like that would ruin balance just a bit.

@TheCongoSpider @wolverine848

Thanks for your help clarifying the mechanisms behind using the Assault Drone.  Based on your replies, the Wiki, and some searches for videos on gameplay with drones, I now know for sure that a drone's Recharge time refers to the Drone's cooldown time, not the drone's use of batteries.  In addition, the gameplay footage verified that drones do indeed eat one battery per minute of use.

@3:44: Claudiu activates his OD, and his Driver Drone recharges for 15 seconds

Personally, I wish Tanki made official demonstration videos each of their drones to help clarify their mechanics.  Oh well...thanks again you two!

I randomly recieved 100.000 crystals fron a container and so I bought this Saboteur drone which lets me poop more mines.

I do 2 now (1 extra) because it is not microupgraded. If I max this thing out; how many mines does the drone lay?

It lays 8 mines around the one you put. It gives you the ability to put 8 mines around yours at Upgrade 19/20. The 20th upgrade literally does nothing but I think that is to trick the OCD players into spending money on crystals to upgrade it to 20.

Ah thanks, 9 mines at once is incredible.

The 19/20 is interesting; ofcourse I'll stop at 19 some day.. perhaps all it does is boosting your gear score just a little further.

Question about the Engineer Drone - if anyone knows? I was interested in getting this drone as I hear following an update it shares supplies with ALL friendly tanks in a battle, when you pick up a supply. Does anyone know how long your allies get a supply for, at 0/20 microupgrade level or when it is maxed out with 20/20? I can find no information about it on the wiki, or anywhere. Many thanks if you know!

From what I can tell from the text, I believe your allies get the supply for that supply's standard duration time.  For instance, if I pick up Double Armor while equipped with the Engineer Drone, my allies will have Double Armor for a standard 30 seconds.

Here's the text in question:

Significantly increases the duration of supply drops and shares the effect of the picked up supply box with all allies.

Hey, thanks for your reply but are you sure about that - have you seen the drone in action, or randomly received supplies in a battle from someone who was using the Engineering drone? Because it would seem very strange if indeed that was the case.

I know it says that, but it also says so for the Supplier drone, and that only shares supplies for 1 - 5 seconds (depending on microupgrade level) with allies. Given that the supplier drone only does so for 1-5 seconds, and only in a limited radius, if indeed the Engineer drone gives every ally on the map a full 30 seconds of supply I'd say it's the best drone there is - I somehow doubt it works that way. Also there would surely be an improvement with upgrades, as with most drone attributes, it probably gives it for less time at the start and more with 20/20 upgrades.

Anyone with experience of the Engineer drone, or who has received benefit from it from an ally in battle can comment?

I have the drone. I made sure to follow one of my teammates around to see what happens and it looks like it does not give them the extra 20 seconds. The supply, for my teammates, last 30 seconds and not 50. Bummer.
