Remember that horrible broken MMS they released a while ago that you flamed people for not liking because "it was only a test"? Yeah they changed virtually nothing and released it and and surprise surprise, people still don't like it.

Match Making is an ok update, but I have something to improve it...

Maybe make the groups for battles up to 6, instead of 4, because 4 isn't that much and you may want to invite 1 or 2 more friends.

Make different size ranged maps. Like you know how to click "Play" and it shows the waiting time? Well, it should be when you click play 3 buttons should appear, "Small", "Medium" and "Large" and you click one of those buttons for what sized map you want to join. That should also lower the joining speeds so you can join battles faster.

MM Suggestion:

 

Add a "Prioritize" toggle to the system:

 

Prioritize by Rank:  MM would build your game with all tanks w/in  2 or 3 ranks of one another even if this took considerable time

 

Prioritize by Time:  MM would build your game quickly by taking allowing wide range of ranks.

07 Aug 2017 you Devs tried this same crap. Nobody liked it then and nobody likes it now. Why do you insist on trying to ram you're idiotic ideas down our throats. Have you ever heard the expression dumber than a box of rocks? Well in the case of the Devs vs the box of rocks that would be a insult to the box of rocks. You guys will never learn.

MatchMaking and the updates to facilitate MM have homogenized the game and made it repetitive, tedious, and boring.  It is bad now but a few weeks of MM, even if all the bugs get worked out, the boredom of very similar battles across all modes will certainly make me stop playing and my bet is another 10000 or so players will also quit.  How many mobile players does Tanki expect?  ...enough to make up for the impending loss of player base? ...doubtful.  Expect to see 15000 to 18000 players at peak times by August 2018...sooner if the bugs don't get fixed quickly.

I just don't get it.  

1. Why would you take away the ability to invite friends into a battle you are in?  Especially if it is unbalanced.  

2. Why remove the status of what battle your friends are in? 

3. Because of #2 I waste time creating a group to add friends that I cannot add because they are in a battle.  

4. How are we suppose to communicate as a group to what battle to join or stay in?  

5. The wait time for battles, it wasn't good last test.  Its still not good this go around.  

6. The random battle selection is so annoying.  

7. The auto exit of a map you want to be in is ridiculous.  

8. What happened to the auto finish on unbalanced battles? How is 1 v 6 even a battle, 4 battles in a row? 

9. How are we supposed to know if a battle is unbalanced to join to help?  I personally will join a losing battle with a friend or 2 to balance out the battle and hopefully turn it around.  This is not possible now.  

10. You should allow anyone in the group to add friends (if possible) instead of only the group creator.  

11. Of course the improved battle rewards are nice.  

12. As for the lag, well I think it is better.  Maybe I have just gotten used to playing with it, who knows.  

 

I guess I have more disappointment with this update than I do excitement. I really hope Tanki brings back choice to the players, invites, and the ability to follow friends around.  

 

Are there logs for the  battle buttons that have been in place for the past few months?  What is the usage compared to the battle list to pick which battle you want to be in?  

 

Very frustrated multi account  player.

Got to play a few minutes after 1st restart. Here are some more on-topic feedback points for the developers:

1) Got dumped into several maps with just a few seconds left in the game.

2) Really wish I had the option to stay in the same maps.

3) Can you give us a heads up of what map we are headed to like in Tanki X. I am often slightly confused as to where the heck I am at times.

 

For the most part, I'll stick with the pro battles for now where I have choices of where and whom to play with (on both sides). Seriously don't like getting bounced around between maps I can't choose. It's sorta like having been able to choose which night clubs you wanted to patronize based upon the atmosphere, music, and clientele then suddenly have those choices made for you with the attitude of "You are going here. There's beer, a radio, and a couple chicks. What else do you want? Just deal with it or stay home".

So, I always complain.

 

This time, I will first differ that this needed to happen.  The problems with mults and sabs at the higher levels made the game simply too worthless.  Now, this fix was over engineered.  Too many limits, 8 unit teams, not filtering to at least NOT play maps you never would.  It favors units that play the mid range game, punishes long range units, and close range units are a wash, no plus, no minus.

 

I say keep the system, but expand the unit count to AT LEAST 10 players per team.  Let users select filters to exclude certain maps.  Last, but every important, give players a 30 second "locker room" timer to be in the garage and decide what turret, hull, and paint they want once the map is loaded.  You lose precious moments in the game when you need winter paint or summer paint, and if you want to change hardware too, your at a loss.  I say in fact allow users to choose their default winter and summer paint, so if you get thrown into a battle that is not on your list, it changes the paint to your default preference for day/night/summer/winter.

I always try to be patient with new things, and have tried to be positive, but there has to be limit to how many times you wait 3 minutes to be the only non legend in a game...or how many times you get stuck assaulting the point on highways map...honestly I hope people keep the flood coming as even if most are overreacting, I miss the old battle list a lot and would not even do normal battles if it were not for missions. It has taken my favorite way of battling and made it nonenjoyeable

I agree. If you are waiting for a battle the system should at least load the the map during the waiting period, tell you what map, mode and season you're going and let you use the garage.

Newspaper should release a guide on how to read. Because. people are just asking on chat, "Where did non-pro battles go?!?!?!". Can't they read?

Good point, there should be a guide on how to use Matchmaking with some tips.
