Drones, Batteries and Modules Update

Okay this is how drones work!

 

I went into a DM and luckily it was highland so I took mammoth+twins and assault drone(in test server).

I activated the OD and was killing a vik+isida and the Drone activated so I got all drugs on again before they cooled down so I had again all of my drugs activated, again just before the supplies were running down I killed 2 more players thus activating all supplies again.

 

My point is the drones are gonna cause a lot of nightmares for free to play players cus they are not cost effective, and non affordable in each and every batle.

 

While on the other hand If you can buy 1000 batteries for 300,000 crystals then you will be unstoppable in battles regardles of the format or Maps (except some big ones).

And I am afraid its a feat most buyers can easliy accomplish.

but really i must thank you very much since i havent played a game in almost 2 weeks since you announced all these changes now i just log in collect my dailies on the profiles i still have premium on the others i only will login on occasion but then log off now instead of spending hours playing im in an out within 20 minutes so i have to applaud the devs for opening my eyes all this time i kept my karma clean but now really whocares i sure as hell dont anymore this game has gone from being fun to absolutely worthless

Yes, +100% makes DD/DA very powerful. Unless the other tank uses them too. Then everything cancels out. If you do not have drugs to cancel out the enemy, then start doing your missions. I have thousands of supplies and I am a free player. So stop blaming "pay to win". That's a cop-out.

 

PRO battles only for me after the sales and I complete week 10 of the chain. This update will drive a wedge further between buyers and the rest of the players. I don't have enough crystals to pay for these batteries which charge per minute and I have no idea what is going to happen with my protection modules in particular emerald. I hope it is automatically changed into a new module.

Why don't you understand what is going to happen to your modules? TO has explained it 2-3 times. You'll have the same protection levels and you can select any three of them to use at once.

 

You and everyone else has no idea if this will "drive a wedge" between buyers and non-buyers. I am a non-buyer and there is no wedge affecting me. I do my missions.  So what we need to learn is how many batteries can an account earn through missions, as compared to how many they need to consume per week?

 

I agree Willie. I refer to mission bonuses when I say that you will be getting fewer supplies. But I suppose it is the weekly bonus that is most relevant to us here.

Ahh I see now where you are looking.  Well... I guess that is probably true. But considering I get more supplies than I use now this minimal effect should not show up much if at all. They key is will battery supply meet the demand for use?

 

I will never ever waste crystals on batteries. I hope that players will be able to earn free batteries for drones in daily missions and mission chains. For me, 300 crystals for 1 battery is a huge waste in crystals. I will not buy them, but instead use the overdrive which is 100% free.

TO has said batteries will be earned through missions and containers. I do not plan on buying any either. Just as I did not buy the tens of thousands of supplies I now have on hand.

1) This is the price they're going to use for our garage conversion. We'll get minimal batteries in return for any change we have after our current modules are converted.

 

2) They'll reduce the price later on to 100 or 150 crystals per battery. They can then say they listened to your feedback and decided you were right and it was too expensive. Giving you a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

 

Obviously the above is my speculation but I'm getting wiser with each year I spend in this game.

Wait if we calculate avg. value of other supplies it is 2250 crystals [let suppose you have used 10 DD (500) 10 DA (500) 5 RK (750) speed boosts + mines (500)]

Drones are cool and the coolest part is that after a few months they probably will nerf take away the drones you buy, with or without replaced by something called the latest update. Go ahead and buy and you will suffer.

I'm definitely sure single modules will cost a fortune, there is absolutely no way they will cost the same amount or even less than triple module.

You don't need to convert your module by yourself. TO will do the conversion, into single unite and then do a conversion of the redundant protection. Have a look here on how it has been presented on the test server: Testing of Drones, separation of modules 

 

I can see 2 strategical options with this Trooper Drone.

1/ If the enemy had stormed your base and started to spawn kill then the drone will give you all 3 supplies (not from your garage) to start stronger: DD, DA and SB. In the test server it lasted max 20 minutes. So the effect is shorter than normal supplies but can increased with MU (as seen in the test server).

2/ DM - and especially on small maps - you start strong since you spawn - strong protection and strong attack. 

 

TO will conversion into single unite and then do a conversion of the redundant protection. Have a look here on how your garage will look with the 13 modules as seen on the test server: Testing of Drones, separation of modules

So in other words, to use drones costs 300 crystals per minute and for that you get different stuff... Like overdrive when you spend 150 crystals on health?  Or for the assault drone - 150 worth of drugs when you spawn?  In other words, you lose 150 crystals unless you die within 1 minute, but if you do, then you break even - assuming you wanted all those drugs immediately upon spawning.

 

I don't see these drones being all that useful.  They're too expensive for what they do.  Mostly, they just complicate and clutter the game.

 

I give them a big "meh"!

 

If you want to improve the game - get rid of MatchMaker.

The matchmaking system is good but players do not need drones. I will never spend crystals on a drone that activates my supplies, because I use the overdrive instead which does exactly the same thing. The overdrive is free.

 

 

Ummm...can't really understand how this will affect the game. Lets wait till release..

 

 

I was one of the only tankers (apparently) to support Tanki for adding Matchmaking system... Now for drones... I'm not sure if this is a good idea, the gap between buyers and non-buyers will probably increase more. If an average tanker gets around 400 crystals every finished battle thanks to the new battlefund calculation, that means less than 2 batteries worth!  How are non- buyers gonna survive against buyers, who will probably be able to afford spending, lets say 5 or more batteries per battle?

Buyer will be no more powered than non buyers. The drones are equal. Whether or not you will be able to run drones all battle every battle for 15 hours each day is the difference.

 

 

My only protection comes from legacy modules....

 

 

Now after a while, Tank Online will become a more fantastic game when drones will be added in game  :D

Just another reason to play Pro no supply battles. Only battles where skill still counts. Shame that Tanki is slowly dying, desperate attempts with gimmicks like this to make money at the expense of a good game. Pay to win more and more.

Interesting , did I not say this was going to happen that it would be a continuous drug battle for those who have them.. forget about the lower ranks who are trying to get kills . or team / group battles which is all ready fully blowing up in players battles . ganging  up on single players and forget about team battles its all on one side attack mode..

 

see for what you say.. the way I see it would be .. is activate garage drug then a pick up , once there near finished either do this again or a drone is activated till you reload drugs . then it will continue until the activation over load kicks on and then again more drugs.. sure its great fully loaded drugs ..but then the experience damage will be lower compared to one without drugs if they even get any kills ( not 100% sure on this ) ... what players will now have to do if not using drugs will end up being forced to use  heavy hulls so it takes longer to get killed..

 

the drug buying wont be as big as tanki thinks . only cause in the end there will be less bought in shop or garage for older players . and tanki is trying to get us to use them up faster . well they have another thing coming cause the way I see it this will prolong all of our drugs for a way longer time seeing less is needed to be activated for battles.. if used correctly..

I really like how some player here said that its all a trick.

 

First 300 crystals worth of batteries so you get less batteries in exchange of legacy modules and other protections.

Then lowering the price again to 100-150 saying its in favour of game economy.

 

The devs are not dumb as people say, the are quite clever indeed.
