Remove self destruction areas

Ok this thing is old, it was implemented to force us to play parkour. But if you think about it a battle is not about chickens being sent to be massacred, it is for strategy and covering strategic positions should be an ability in the game.

 

Also reduce tank weight so in space mode they will be able to self climb in this positions themselves :)

Self-destruct areas weren't added to force you to play parkour format. They were added to stop you from doing parkour in standard battles instead of playing. While I get the fact that you intend to use parkour to get a tactical advantage, the vast majority of players end up simply doing parkour in normal battles while ignoring the actual gameplay and thus sabotaging their team. So self-destruct areas were added to prevent that.

 

Another important point is that it's unfair to allow players to access areas which cannot be reached by other tanks. So if you use Wasp and Thunder to parkour onto a building, then it's not fair to enemies with short range turrets, who can't possibly get you no matter what they do.

 

If you want to suggest something specifically for parkour mode, please post in this topic.

Restrict this, restrict that. Dont do this dont do that. In the end you will disable chat and force us all to play in island because the other maps are impractical. Tanki needs to be open world its not suited to restriction.

No need to go that far. Just follow the rules like everybody else and all will be fine.

 

Some self destruct area are justified - player fall in a pit and just lay there till someone kill them. Other take the flag and do the same thing (Barda, Kungur,...).

 

Some area are not justified: house on Silence (blue base), some corner in Kungur near the water tower (why?), ...

 

Some area should have self destruct: on highland the level tow should have a self destruct zone. Why is it allowed there and not on other map and vice-versa.

Ya, don't go THAT far, you will be able to play on Island AND Arena only.

I'm sorry probably not, if you reduce the number of map to 2 and number of player per map, then it is most likely to get faster.

You will need to stay away form the void as the self destruction areas will be removed so once you fall from the map you would never die.

Island should be added in current MMS, and some smaller maps too, like 4v4, 5v5...

 

I like the feeling when i fall off the map and battle ends before i die. 15 seconds in doom :D
