I guess it would depend on where the Dictator and the Mag cannon is in relationship to the box

i don't think the turret does anything when it comes to golds, else it would be OP. you have to touch the gold with the bottom of the turret

Correct. The height of the hull is what matters. The turret is basically empty space and can go through stuff (like houses, walls, gold boxes...) The hull is the only part that can touch things.

Shaft, in scope mode, can zero in on the cannon and do damage, so it isn't just empty space.

Yeah, I saw something rather dumb and stupid. 

 

Isida M2/Wasp M2 going up against Isida M2/Viking M2. The Wasp was on the enemy team. He came over to our base and did this repeatedly. Want to venture a guess as to who won each skirmish?

Has anyone noticed the speed hackers now? Or that sometime when a tanker is coming for you they just drive right over your tank?
When I was playing I had Titian and Rico and my team mate was driving behind me with Wasp and all of the sudden hes going through my tank and I get shoved to the ground. A few times I almost went through the ground.

Now if someone suggests you to report hackers or use /vote, you will just waste your time (if you are lucky enough you may succeed after 10000 tries). There is no way to stop them, sadly.

I'm always doing that but a clever magnum user will hide their turret most of the time. Sometimes they raise it whilst charging.

MM sent me into a CP battle, on the losing team with 1 minute 10 seconds left in battle. Score had a very wide gap. "So, Matchmaker, why bother? Losing team had 0 points. What do you think I could do to change that in 1 minute? When "they" said brains, you thought "they" said trains and you went to catch one."

Playing CTF. It's the beginning of the battle. Railgun/Wasp has stolen our flag and passes right by a Thunder/Mammoth who has spawned out in the open. Does the Mammoth fire at the Wasp? No!! Instead the Mammoth allows the Wasp to pass unchallenged, turns his tank around and heads for higher ground. The Wasp had already tasted lead from my Vulcan, but had passed by the Mammoth, blocking my shots. Mammoth had plenty of time to load a DD (or not) and put a couple shots in the Wasp. The thought occurred to me that the Wasp and Mammoth knew each other. That's why it went past the Mammoth and used it for cover.

Yesterday I was on an Alexandrovsk CTF and chasing down a Hornet that had stolen my flag from the red base.  I had chased him up onto the raised island and shot him on one of the down ramps on the far side.  The flag landed on the roadway.  As I landed and turned the tank to grab the flag back, I suddenly noticed there was a Gold Box just sitting there to my left, not two yards away.  And not another tank in sight.

 

Frantically grabbed the flag and went to turn the tank back to face the Gold Box, just in time to see a teammate fly off the island and take the GB.

Doh....

All depends on how you look at it and whose team you're on.

 

You returned the flag, preventing the other team from scoring. That's teamwork for red (your team)

You go after the Gold Box, leaving the flag in play. The other team grabs the flag and scores. Teamwork for blue (the enemy). 

 

Many players complain that the GB is a distraction. You have proven that not everyone is distracted by it. Personally, I think you made the right decision.
