I was / I am.  I'm just using up the Premium I'd paid till the end of May for.

 

I was just going to collect the 2,500 crystals it gave me every day but hey ho, I got sucked into the Challenge whirlpool.

Wouldn't bother, but it is Viking and Viking's my hull.

In regards to the burnt tank you see on the maps, this is from Wiki's "Did you know that..."

 

In many maps you can find rusted skeletons of Titan + Firebird combination: It is a tribute to the players from pre-rebalance era, according to which Titan + Firebird combination was considered the most absurd and useless combination of turret and hull.

Another thing I'm seeing is players who are going towards an enemy Hornet that has its Overdrive active activate double armour and not double damage. I was expecting it to be understood by now that Hornet ignores your protections and it is better to use double damage when faced with an enemy Overdriven Hornet but they still do that. Saw it happen again in a Tribute TDM just now and the guy got one-shotted.

Depends how you attack them - from the front no chance, esp if they've got Thunder.

I've taken to using Twins Stabilised Plasma (the no self-damage one) and I just ram into them from the side and then turn, which spins them round and firing as I turn them.

It's so quick even if they try to turn their turret they're toast anyway.

 

As you say, loading DA is pointless but with DD you do have some chance which might work if you've got a no-self-damage turret like Isida, Twins etc.

Well to do as much damage as possible or kill them before they kill you. Your hull may have enough health to withstand the shot. The guy who had the Overdrive activated was using Round Destabilisation so there was a chance he could have done less than 100 damage and in that time, the player could have killed it. 

 

It also depends on the turret the Overdriven Hornet is using. If you know that you have enough health to withstand two shots, then use that time to damage it as much as possible before inevitably dying. Gotta be quick on the draw and analyse situations quickly.

Massacre ASL Blue. (On my alt account, Isida) There was a little over 2 minutes left in battle when I joined. I just glanced at the score 60-0 or something like that. I saw Magnum/Viking, Smoky/Hunter and Thunder/Viking. I looked at the leaderboard and both teams were full. 

 

Magnum was near the wall lobbing rockets (or whatever Magnum shoots) towards the approaching enemy. Smoky and Thunder were in respawn zones behind the containers and never moved. 

 

Red would come in, cap the flag, kill Smoky and Thunder, but left Magnum alone. I had a mission to complete 3 ASL battles. That was my last one, so I stayed just in case Magnum needed healing. But they never approached either of us. 

 

There were a couple Red players off in a distance doing parkour. No, this was not a parkour battle. 

 

The routine was: Cap, kill Smoky. Cap kill Thunder. Cap kill Smoky. Cap kill Thunder.

Seriously? I would have thought the time constraints of MM battles would deter parkourers from doing that stuff in MM battles.

HTML5 is honestly the stupidest sight. There's no way to get to the Flash version, and HTML5 doesn't work with Shift, and it randomly puts me in to mouse controls on Chrome - I don't have a mouse...

This guy... what is this! 96 golds in one week, 45 hours in the game. 2397 deaths, 3 kills. He has all the turrets and hulls M0. He's a recruit. That should be impossible, the lowest rank for a kit in the shop is definitely not Recruit, I think it's Master Corporal or somethin'.

There is an "All M0 equipment" bundle you can buy in the shop as recruit.
