1425-1646..... so that's, what,  four shots to take down Mammoth?

[Mammy player pulls out crossword while he waits for Gauss]

I beat a drugging m2 m2 dictator gauss with 26% rail module with titan rail of all things (Drugging back, yes)... He left the match afterwards. And people are saying it needs a nerf.

That's three shots actually.

I was actually referring to M4 Mammoth (4,000) with DA = 8,000 which is mostly the type of Mammoth I encounter.

It's probably nearer five shots, but I generously rounded up Gauss's shots to 2,000 each one.

Stick, or twist?

In that case, it would take around 6 shots on average. But that's expected. When that Mammoth comes off of its high from that double armour, it'll crumble if it was injured.

Exactly!

1.6-2.0 seconds a shot, that's about ten seconds!

Gauss is obvs not quite the great Wonder Weapon it appears.

Oh, I was talking about sniping shots only.

With arcade shots, it would take 13 shots on average.

Using sniping shots alone, it would take 6 shots on average.

That's a long time and by that time, the Mammoth already trampled over you.

Gauss is obvs not quite the great Wonder Weapon it appears.

I'm sure many are complaining about it because it's so prevalent (it's a new turret so there is bound to be an urge to try it).

I find it balanced at the moment. it beats Shaft in arcade shots but it doesn't beat it in sniping.

I expected it to be an overpowered mess but it seems like Tanki made it more or less balanced off the bat.

If Tanki stays on the beaten path, what will happen is after a few months when the Devs decide that those who are going to buy the new weapon have bought it, they will begin to nerf the heck out of it. A new weapon is always OP when it first comes out as player (buyer) bait. If you think it's balanced now, wait a few months after the nerf. You'll put it in the junk closet with the rest of Tanki stuff you don't use and go back to the tried and true.

I frankly think both thunder and shaft are better alternatives than gauss. It's like, jack of all trades, master of none. I don't find it particularly threatening in battle, whereas shafts are my bane, and thunders are a fair danger. It needs something like a faster aiming recovery to be a danger, I don't have the math on it, but you're probably dealing way more damage by just using single shots, at which point just pick thunder if you want single shots, or shaft if you want to snipe.

Knowing when to use the sniping shot and the arcade shots is very important.

Just had a 700-points DM mission and had a few battles with Gausses sniping from a distance.

Thing is, you snipe me once from a hidden corner and I -will- spend the rest of the battle hunting you down and killing you.

Rinse and repeat.

Not sure, on the basis of me vs Gauss players in those DMs, whether they (Gauss) are particularly up at the mo. :P

I tried M0 Gauss on a friend's account... it's kinda UP, though I don't drug so...

Well, it's a good thing for the Gausses that you're leaving indefinitely once the May challenge is done :P

The new stupidest sight? Well, obviously we all had hordes of crystals saved up for the 10th B-day. Hours before the MU sales, 100K crystals just disappear from my account. No trace... I was breaking 500K.

Barely been on at all.. 11k this week - two days missions just to top-up my crystals to 100K for the 50% discount.

Pretty much out the door - not doing the Challenge, Premium expired not buying any more, no more buying supplies; once the 800 RKs are gone that will be it anyway.

But Gausses were fun.

They're weren't "up" on the me vs them in the DMs I had.... I killed them more than they killed me.

I think it unsettles them to make a kill, and they look for the next kill only to find their last kill (me) then follows them around the map, killing them wherever they show up lol sort of a 1v1..... and Gauss isn't good for that.

Stupidest sight today was me with Twins, which feels like it's been nerfed.  Maybe it's me, lots of hits but not many kills.

Gave up and went over to Isida instead.

I saw someone report something similar to this on the chat after the server update.

"Answer all the questions" it says.

crystalliser.png

Stealing the jackpot in a MM battle and posting a screenie is apparently what constitutes "questions."

Whatever they're on, I'd suggest smoking less of it as it's clearly interfering with their cognitive skills.

I felt bad for sabotaging my team, but here goes: a guy, @BlutroteKobra in Cologne MM (Glaze kit, duplet alt) decided to pin me against one of the walls for no reason. So, I thought I'd dedicate my battle to sabotaging him, just to get even (ya know the feelin'?). Well, at one point I sat and watched as he took most of the hp off of a Viking/Freeze, but the clip reload wasn't short enough to save him from the Freeze. Both had already used their RKs, so I easily sent two of my Rico shots onto the Freeze (I was about 10 meters away) and killed the Freeze, conceivably while he could still see because of the respawn mechanic :P Boy did he rage.

It's a buyer's World of Tanki

Not to mention it means 3x for low rank RTL kids, a legend can be beaten by some early kid in warrant officer ranks

Yup, me receiving a critical error made my team lose.

My team didn't have great equipment but we held out against the red team that has superior equipment and smarts. I had my hunter's Overdrive ready because that crafty Titan kept his dome for just before he caps the flag so his teammates can come help him. I'm ready, we're leading 10-19. Someone is approaching with the flag and I'm about to one-shot them, then as they're about to drive up the ramp, the game spits out a screen-freezing critical error where the flags and even the blue base capture point marker start to fly all over the screen. I was forced to re-enter. I knew that Titan was going to come any second now. I had 100% on my overdrive and because of that, I came back in with 0% to see my team now being spawnkilled because the same titan put down his dome in our base. The Overdrive box is falling, I'm respawning and the enemy Titan took the Overdrive and used it again when the first dome disappeared.

I became furious and tried to single out the players with the flags but these red players in the base are making my aim hard with they Thunder and Smoky shots. The score now, 30-28. We're now losing with the final 20 seconds on the clock. I spin around and kill the player with the flag that was about to capture. We were now 30-30. I didn't want that to end in a draw. I saw a long Railgun + Hunter on the bridge. I went up and used my Overdrive. Miraculously, it zapped the player with given the difference of the level of terrain and miraculously, he was on less than half health so I was able to kill him with one arcade shot. I killed him to see that an enemy got into the base and capped a flag at the same time I killed the person, resulting in my team losing 35-31.

Did my team have mults? No, I don't think so, because I saw many of them actually defending the attacks but the enemies' equipment were just too strong for us. And they wouldn't have gotten that leg-up if I hadn't had received that critical error. I would have shut that Titan dome down as well as the flag he had.

I really don't like these critical errors. And they always happen when "in the zone" while having my Overdrive ready to help my team with the objective. It happens in these crucial moments and that's what makes it some much more detestable to me.
