One of the Mods said that anything not posted in I&S goes unnoticed by the Devs. If one of the Mods or Helpers sees something that may be of importance to the Devs it will be reported to the CM. Otherwise, the forum is just a place for players to rant and rave.

Then why would people get banned even though devs are blind and cannot see the importance in a rant? I agree it is worthless, but ban people even if message doesnt reach annyone? smh

The forum has its rules to help keep it "clean." If there wasn't some type of order, the forum would be complete chaos. Most players would rather obey rules than to get banned.

What happens when there are no Police to enforce the laws? Who's going to keep the peace? Who is going to keep everything organized? Without rules, laws and the people to enforce them, what you have is total chaos. No one to enforce the laws? No prison time, no jail time, no punishments for not obeying the laws. 

 

Supposing the Mods and Helpers stopped doing their jobs...enforcing the rules. Is that the type of forum you want? Forget about what's right and wrong. Do you want to live in a community, city, state, country that has no laws, no rules to follow. Humans, by nature, are Barbarians. Lack of rules and laws brings out the worst in us. We have to have rules and those to enforce them to prevent chaos, because that's the way we are wired. 

 

Here's another perspective. Animals who live in groups have rules to go by. It's the Alphas of the group that keep chaos at bay. If a member of the group doesn't obey the rules, the offender is kicked out of the group and will never be allowed to return. In some groups, the offender isn't kicked out of the group, but rather will be killed on the spot by the Alphas. Then if there is anything left, the rest of the group gets the spoils.

I do that a lot in those "xp/bp" matches. Gives those Egoguns a taste of their own medicine!

Sadly, my rank is getting too high for them. :(

Magistral (I think) CP.  I joined blue team, who already had two CP's held.

Reds had one CP..... and they were all sat on it.  Constantly.  Two Isidas and a Vulcan, just sitting there on their CP. 

No attempt to give up their CP or to try to gain another.  Nope, it was their CP point and they were going to sit on that one CP point for the entire battle.

SMH.

 

They did get off it for a gold drop, though. 

At which point, now they were separated, me and the rest of the blue team went postal on 'em. :P

MM put me into Polygon CTF. I saw an enemy Hornet near me, I killed him with DD, enemies killed me and battle ended. That was a really short battle for me xD

MM is very dependable like that. You can depend on it putting you in a losing battle, on the losing team with less than 2 minutes left of the battle. Yep, very dependable, you can take that to the bank.

Massacre CTF Blue: Usually I use Isida/Viking, but I decided to use Firebird/Hornet for a change. I was on Blue. Battle started from the beginning. Before I was fully spawned, I went after the flag, grabbed it and was almost to the base when I was one shotted. My team was fully spawned, but where were they? Hiding behind the buildings. The enemy was advancing over the hill. Did anyone from my team try to protect the stolen flag or even care? NO! Not one fire was shot. As close as the stolen flag was to our base, no one attempted to come out from behind the buildings. A bunch of pantywaists. 

 

I tried again. Grabbed the flag, went around a hill and got halfway to our base. Again, one shotted. Did anyone from blue try to retrieve the flag? Nope. They were still hiding behind the buildings. Finally, a few tried to advance. I went with them. I grabbed the flag, but again, no team support. I didn't get very far that time. 

 

During the battle, I saw we had 4 rails and a thunder hiding behind the buildings with their backs to the flag. I was a Wasp coming up along the wall, I gave chase, but he was too fast. Did anyone else help? Nope. Did anyone fire at the Wasp? Nope. They were so focused on the hill, they didn't notice the flag was stolen. 

 

The Wasp came back for another try. This time he had company. The snipers were firing at the oncoming red and, again, didn't notice the flag was stolen. When the Wasp took our flag, he went straight up the middle and as he passed by his teammate, they closed ranks. Good team work, red. 

 

What about the rest of my team? The four snipers were still hiding behind the buildings. That left me and another teammate to try to steal the flag. He, too, was using Firebird/Hornet. I looked at our snipers hiding behind the buildings as the enemy advanced, hardly taking any shots. I thought, "What a bunch of pussywillow pantywaists" and left.

          This game. And no, I'm not joking around but...look around you. Look what the game has become. The most hated thing in Tanki, supplies, are the main driving force of everything now. And I get it, it was done to make supplies "balanced" and bla bla bla, but... no one really likes it. We've accepted this skilless and funless meta, the very thing very few people wanted tanki to become in the end. I wish we could do something about it but....we can't. The devs have won, the community has lost and is forced into submission. 

 

 

 

Oh and someone PLEASE fix the tab button in the forum, it doesn't indent and takes me to the top of the page

It's not so much the GB that's ruining the game, it's the GB Hunters that ruin the game. Sounds like your whole team were Hunters. Personally, I will drop a GB to give my team an advantage to score or to make some quick kills. Many times, I've dropped a GB shortly after the system has dropped one for a longer advantageous play. I feel for you, though. It's no worse than a team playing TDM during CTF, Rugby, etc. and ignoring the battle objective. Those battles are on a straight course for a loss and they don't care.

Sigh. Please don't stoop to their level. If they're frustrating you, just leave. Don't send a hate message before you leave, just leave. It's good to vent but it would ultimately make no sense as it wouldn't sway the team to do better in that particular battle or in the near future.

Well, vain thought they might get the message they (as individuals) need to up their game.

Plus it also told them I wasn't prepared to put up with their sh*t.

 

And it made me feel better anyway. :D
