Sorry to hear your tank was tanknapped and you were hogtied to it. Or you're a glutton for punishment.

Rank-spread of 8.  That's on match-maker.

This star event has shown me a few things.

First, matchmaking sometimes (many times) puts two teams together that have no business being together.

Second, despite what I just said, some games are determine by those who have no intention of accomplishing anything in the battle. When I see wasps charging into battle with only speed boost activated, I question my own existance. Unfortunately some will always acheive the result of multing, which makes matchmaking harder.

Happened to me before.

$1 * 5= $5.00

$5.00 - $4.99 = $0.01 saved.

LOL! I would buy that for a dollar! :D

I'm aware of that. When I get into battles where I know I don't stand a chance in hell, I leave. Why stay in a battle, waste supplies and get nothing in return...not even a star?

Gotta love those noobs players that cry when you kill them when gold drops.     Do they think it is just a pushing contest?

He had the overdrive so it was impossible to kill him, he dropped the gold and the mark was on the place in highland where you could take it from air so when the overdrive didnt work properly he got mad.

I didnt record the gold drop because i wasnt going for it and i didnt expect such absurd situation would happen, sadly.

Call me crazy, but I kinda miss those times when a gold dropping wasn't a sign to start killing players around you just to ensure a slightly better chance of getting it, the thrill of catching a gold box was much greater than it is nowadays. Unfortunately, back then it was really tedious trying to get yourself to save up enough crystals, so GBs were actually considered to be a significant source of income for most tankers, and failing to catch one was a terrible feeling, especially during events.

Meh.  Have never been a fan of gold-drops - just something that interrupts a (possibly) decent battle.

Used to be Thunder and then Striker and then Magnum firing into a pile of gold-hunters.  :)  Now Gauss adds a new dimension with it's generous splash radius.

What makes you think I see a clustered together patch of kills and eliminate them for the pocket change they're fighting over? Look man, one thousand crystals is not that much. I get the thrill and all, but in the end it's just a rat race designed to interrupt the flow of a battle and waste half a minute of the already shortened  battles.

He's saying that before GBs were something that could significantly add to the income of a tanker. Check "GTanks Online," it's - let's just say really hard to get a battle fund to 700. But 100 crystals is a lot for that, so 100 crystals is not just a negligible amount, and it gives more of a thrill to catch it than 1K does today.

Thank you for explaining what I meant, but just one little correction, the point I made about the trouble of earning enough crystals back then was chiefly due to the absence of missions, weekly missions, containers, challenges, premium accounts, and other sources of income we now take for granted. The percentage of a gold's fund out of a typical battle fund may not have changed much throughout the years.

They also had a lower chance of appearing, a longer time between the siren noise and the box dropping, and the marks showing the location where they would drop didn't exist. Players would often be nervous and on high alert, the thought of randomly attacking other tanks nearby wasn't a common one.

Personally, I think they should do away with the GB siren and just let it drop. There would be less disruption to the game. The only ones fighting over it would be those who see it drop or those who found it "first."

So only gold campers can take them, right?

Nah, you got it totally wrong! This will only discourage the gold camping.

Imagine, you have no idea when it will drop, where it will drop. You plan to camp, then you see "xyz has taken the goldbox" meanwhile you're point blank. Will you still camp?

When the gold box drop rate starts to increase on special events, the uncertainty will certainly promote multing. You wouldn't know if it's dropping or not, and since what is dropping is profitable and very prevalent (because of the increased drop rates), you'd be on the lookout more.

Gold Hunters play the game minimally, from what I see. They depend on the siren to tell them when to hunt and start looking. Other Gold Hunters mult anyway and do even less. If there's no siren, there would be less Hunters multing behind buildings etc. They would have to get out there and at least play, hopefully to survive to find the GBs. I think there would be less multing. They may not give it their all, but at least they won't be hiding. They would also most likely have their cameras set at the lowest angle to see the sky, which might throw off their game.

Brest CTF. Guy joins other team just a bit late. With 16 seconds to go on the clock -_- Come on, Tanki.

Yeah, MM has thrown me into battles with less than that, I think. I spawned and the battle ended. Didn't even have time to press a key to move or load a supply. MM is designed to do one thing...fill empty slots on teams. It has no sense of time, one thing the Devs didn't deem important enough to teach MM. Sometimes I wish I was fly on the wall when new features are discussed at the meetings.
